1 A nd again Jesus spoke to them in parables (comparisons, stories used to illustrate and explain), saying,

И Исус почна пак да им говори с притчи, като казваше:

2 T he kingdom of heaven is like a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son

Небесното царство прилича на цар, който направи сватба на сина си.

3 A nd sent his servants to summon those who had been invited to the wedding banquet, but they refused to come.

Той разпрати слугите си да повикат поканените на сватбата; но те не искаха да дойдат.

4 A gain he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my banquet; my bullocks and my fat calves are killed, and everything is prepared; come to the wedding feast.

Пак изпрати други слуги, казвайки: Речете на поканените: Ето, приготвих обяда си; юнците ми и угоените са заклани, и всичко е готово; дойдете на сватба.

5 B ut they were not concerned and paid no attention and they went away—one to his farm, another to his business,

но те занемариха поканата, и разотидоха се, един на своята нива, а друг на търговията си;

6 W hile the others seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and put them to death.

а останалите хванаха слугите му и безсрамно ги оскърбиха и убиха.

7 t he king was infuriated; and he sent his soldiers and put those murderers to death and burned their city.

И царят се разгневи, изпрати войските си и погуби ония убийци, и изгори града им.

8 T hen he said to his servants, The wedding is prepared, but those invited were not worthy.

Тогава казва на слугите си: Сватбата е готова, а поканените не бяха достойни.

9 S o go to the thoroughfares where they leave the city and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.

Затова идете по кръстопътищата и колкото намерите, поканете ги на сватба.

10 A nd those servants went out on the crossroads and got together as many as they found, both bad and good, so the wedding feast was filled with guests.

И тъй, ония слуги излязоха по пътищата, събраха всички колкото намериха, зли и добри; и сватбата се напълни с гости.

11 B ut when the king came in to view the guests, he looked intently at a man there who had on no wedding garment.

А царят, като влезе да прегледа гостите, видя там един човек, който не бе облечен в сватбарска дреха.

12 A nd he said, Friend, how did you come in here without putting on the wedding garment? And he was speechless ( muzzled, gagged).

И каза му: Приятелю, ти как си влязъл тук без да имаш сватбарска дреха? А той мълчеше.

13 T hen the king said to the attendants, Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

Тогава царят рече на служителите: Вържете му нозете и ръцете, и хвърлете го във външната тъмнина; там ще бъде плач и скърцане със зъби.

14 F or many are called (invited and summoned), but few are chosen.

Защото мнозина са поканени, а малцина избрани.

15 T hen the Pharisees went and consulted and plotted together how they might entangle Jesus in His talk.

Тогава фарисеите отидоха и се съветваха как да Го впримчат в говоренето Му.

16 A nd they sent their disciples to Him along with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that You are sincere and what You profess to be and that You teach the way of God truthfully, regardless of consequences and being afraid of no man; for You are impartial and do not regard either the person or the position of anyone.

И пращат при Него учениците си, заедно и Иродианите, да кажат: Учителю, знаем, че си искрен, учиш в истина Божият път и не Те е грижа от никого, защото не гледаш на лицето на човеците.

17 T ell us then what You think about this: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar or not?

Кажи ни, прочее: Ти как мислиш? Право ли е да даваме данък на Кесаря, или не?

18 B ut Jesus, aware of their malicious plot, asked, Why do you put Me to the test and try to entrap Me, you pretenders (hypocrites)?

А Исус разбра лукавството им, и рече: Защо Ме изпитвате, лицемери?

19 S how me the money used for the tribute. And they brought Him a denarius.

Покажете Ми данъчната монета. И те Му донесоха един пеняз.

20 A nd Jesus said to them, Whose likeness and title are these?

Той им каза: Чий е този образ и надпис?

21 T hey said, Caesar’s. Then He said to them, Pay therefore to Caesar the things that are due to Caesar, and pay to God the things that are due to God.

Казват му: Кесарев. Тогава им казва: Като е тъй, отдавайте Кесаревите на Кесаря, а Божиите на Бога.

22 W hen they heard it they were amazed and marveled; and they left Him and departed.

И като чуха това, те се зачудиха, и оставайки Го, си отидоха.

23 T he same day some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to Him and they asked Him a question,

В същия ден дойдоха при Него садукеи, които казват, че няма възкресение и попитаха Го, казвайки:

24 S aying, Teacher, Moses said, If a man dies, leaving no children, his brother shall marry the widow and raise up a family for his brother.

Учителю, Мойсей е казал: Ако някой умре бездетен, брат му да се ожени за жена му, и да въздигне потомък на брата си.

25 N ow there were seven brothers among us; the first married and died, and, having no children, left his wife to his brother.

А между нас имаше седмина братя; и първият се ожени и умря; и, като нямаше потомък, остави жена си на брата си;

26 T he second also died childless, and the third, down to the seventh.

също и вторият и третият, до седмият.

27 L ast of all, the woman died also.

А подир всички умря и жената.

28 N ow, in the resurrection, to which of the seven will she be wife? For they all had her.

И тъй, във възкресението на кого от седмината ще бъде жена? Защото всички те я имаха.

29 B ut Jesus replied to them, You are wrong because you know neither the Scriptures nor God’s power.

А Исус в отговор им рече: Заблуждавате се, като не знаете писанията нито Божията сила.

30 F or in the resurrected state neither do marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven.

Защото във възкресението нито се женят, нито се омъжват, но са като ангели на небето.

31 B ut as to the resurrection of the dead—have you never read what was said to you by God,

А за възкресението на мъртвите, не сте ли чели онова, което Бог ви говори, като казва:

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!

“Аз съм Бог Авраамов, Бог Исааков и Бог Яковов”? Той не е Бог на мъртвите, а на живите.

33 A nd when the throng heard it, they were astonished and filled with '> glad] amazement at His teaching.

И множеството, като чуха това, чудеха се на учението Му.

34 N ow when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced ( muzzled) the Sadducees, they gathered together.

А фарисеите, като чуха, че смълчал садукеите, събраха се заедно.

35 A nd one of their number, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him.

И един от тях, законник, за да Го изпита, зададе Му въпрос:

36 T eacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law?

Учителю, коя е голямата заповед в закона?

37 A nd He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

А Той му рече: “Да възлюбиш Господа твоя Бог с цялото си сърце, с цялата си душа и с всичкия си ум”.

38 T his is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.

Това е голямата и първа заповед.

39 A nd a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

А втора, подобна на нея, е тая: “Да възлюбиш ближния си, както себе си”.

40 T hese two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.

На тия две заповеди стоят целият закон и пророците.

41 N ow while the Pharisees were still assembled there, Jesus asked them a question,

И когато бяха събрани фарисеите, Исус ги попита, казвайки:

42 S aying, What do you think of the Christ? Whose Son is He? They said to Him, The Son of David.

Какво мислите за Христа? Чий Син е? Казват Му: Давидов.

43 H e said to them, How is it then that David, under the influence of the Spirit, calls Him Lord, saying,

Казва им: Тогава как Давид чрез Духа Го нарича Господ, думайки:

44 T he Lord said to My Lord, Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet?

“Рече Господ на моя Господ: Седи отдясно Ми. Докле положа враговете Ти под нозете Ти”?

45 I f then David thus calls Him Lord, how is He his Son?

Ако, прочее, Давид Го нарича Господ, как е негов син?

46 A nd no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day did anyone venture or dare to question Him.

И никой не можеше да Му отговори ни дума; нито пък дръзна вече някой от тоя ден да Му задава въпроси.
