1 A nd again Jesus spoke to them in parables (comparisons, stories used to illustrate and explain), saying,

Dhe Jezusi, nisi përsëri t’u flasë atyre me shëmbëlltyra, duke thënë:

2 T he kingdom of heaven is like a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son

“Mbretëria e qiejve i ngjan një mbreti, i cili përgatiti dasmën e të birit.

3 A nd sent his servants to summon those who had been invited to the wedding banquet, but they refused to come.

Dhe dërgoi shërbëtorët e vet për të thirrur të ftuarit në dasmë, por ata nuk deshën të vijnë.

4 A gain he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my banquet; my bullocks and my fat calves are killed, and everything is prepared; come to the wedding feast.

Dërgoi përsëri shërbëtorë të tjerë duke thënë: "U thoni të ftuarve: Ja unë e kam shtruar drekën time, viçat e mi dhe bagëtia ime e majmur janë therur dhe gjithçka është gati; ejani në dasmë".

5 B ut they were not concerned and paid no attention and they went away—one to his farm, another to his business,

Por ata, pa e përfillur, shkuan: dikush në arën e vet e dikush në punët e veta.

6 W hile the others seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and put them to death.

Dhe të tjerët, mbasi kapën shërbëtorët e tij, i shanë dhe i vranë.

7 t he king was infuriated; and he sent his soldiers and put those murderers to death and burned their city.

Mbreti atëhërë, kur dëgjoi këtë, u zemërua dhe dërgoi ushtritë e veta për të shfarosur ata gjaksorë dhe dogji qytetin e tyre.

8 T hen he said to his servants, The wedding is prepared, but those invited were not worthy.

Atëherë u tha shërbëtorëve të vet: "Dasma është gati, por të ftuarit nuk ishin të denjë.

9 S o go to the thoroughfares where they leave the city and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.

Shkoni, pra, në udhëkryqe dhe ftoni në dasmë këdo që të gjeni."

10 A nd those servants went out on the crossroads and got together as many as they found, both bad and good, so the wedding feast was filled with guests.

Dhe ata shërbëtorët dolën nëpër rrugë, mblodhën të gjithë ata që gjetën, të këqij dhe të mirë, dhe vendi i dasmës u mbush me të ftuar.

11 B ut when the king came in to view the guests, he looked intently at a man there who had on no wedding garment.

Atëherë mbreti hyri për të parë të ftuarit dhe gjeti aty një njeri që nuk kishte veshur rrobë dasme;

12 A nd he said, Friend, how did you come in here without putting on the wedding garment? And he was speechless ( muzzled, gagged).

dhe i tha: "Mik, si hyre këtu pa pasur rrobë dasme?". Dhe ai mbylli gojën.

13 T hen the king said to the attendants, Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

Atëherë mbreti u tha shërbëtorëve: "Lidheni duar dhe këmbë, kapeni dhe hidheni në errësirat e jashtme. Atje do të jetë e qara dhe kërcëllim dhëmbësh".

14 F or many are called (invited and summoned), but few are chosen.

Sepse shumë janë të thirrur, por pak janë të zgjedhur.”

15 T hen the Pharisees went and consulted and plotted together how they might entangle Jesus in His talk.

Atëherë farisenjtë u veçuan dhe bënin këshill se si ta zinin gabim në fjalë.

16 A nd they sent their disciples to Him along with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that You are sincere and what You profess to be and that You teach the way of God truthfully, regardless of consequences and being afraid of no man; for You are impartial and do not regard either the person or the position of anyone.

Dhe i dërguan dishepujt e tyre bashkë me herodianët, për t’i thënë: “Mësues, ne e dimë se ti je i vërtetë dhe që mëson udhën e Perëndisë në të vërtetë, pa marrë parasysh njeri, sepse ti nuk shikon pamjen e jashtme të njerëzve.

17 T ell us then what You think about this: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar or not?

Na thuaj, pra: Si e mendon? A është e ligjshme t’i paguhet taksa Cezarit apo jo?.”

18 B ut Jesus, aware of their malicious plot, asked, Why do you put Me to the test and try to entrap Me, you pretenders (hypocrites)?

Por Jezusi, duke e njohur ligësinë e tyre, tha: “Pse më tundoni, o hipokritë?

19 S how me the money used for the tribute. And they brought Him a denarius.

Më tregoni monedhën e taksës.” Atëherë ata i treguan një denar.

20 A nd Jesus said to them, Whose likeness and title are these?

Dhe ai u tha atyre: “E kujt është kjo fytyrë dhe ky mbishkrim?.”

21 T hey said, Caesar’s. Then He said to them, Pay therefore to Caesar the things that are due to Caesar, and pay to God the things that are due to God.

Ata i thanë: “E Cezarit.” Atëherë ai u tha atyre: “Jepni, pra, Cezarit atë që i përket Cezarit dhe Perëndisë atë që i përket Perëndisë.”

22 W hen they heard it they were amazed and marveled; and they left Him and departed.

Dhe ata, kur e dëgjuan këtë, u mrekulluan, e lanë, dhe ikën.

23 T he same day some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to Him and they asked Him a question,

Po atë ditë erdhën tek ai saducenjtë, të cilët thonë se nuk ka ringjallje, dhe e pyetën

24 S aying, Teacher, Moses said, If a man dies, leaving no children, his brother shall marry the widow and raise up a family for his brother.

duke thënë: “Mësues, Moisiu ka thënë: "Në se dikush vdes pa lënë fëmijë, i vëllai le të martohet me gruan e tij, për t’i lindur trashëgimtarë vëllait të tij.

25 N ow there were seven brothers among us; the first married and died, and, having no children, left his wife to his brother.

Tani ndër ne ishin shtatë vëllezër; i pari u martua dhe vdiq dhe duke mos pasë trashëgimtarë, ia la gruan vëllait të vet.

26 T he second also died childless, and the third, down to the seventh.

Kështu edhe i dyti dhe i treti, deri tek i shtati.

27 L ast of all, the woman died also.

Në fund vdiq edhe gruaja.

28 N ow, in the resurrection, to which of the seven will she be wife? For they all had her.

Në ringjallje, pra, e kujt nga këta të shtatë do të jetë grua? Sepse të gjithë e patën gruaja.”

29 B ut Jesus replied to them, You are wrong because you know neither the Scriptures nor God’s power.

Por Jezusi, duke u përgjigjur u tha atyre: “Ju bëni gabim, sepse nuk e kuptoni as Shkrimin as pushtetin e Perëndisë.

30 F or in the resurrected state neither do marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven.

Në ringjallje, pra, as martohen as martojnë, por ata do të jenë në qiell si engjëjt e Perëndisë.

31 B ut as to the resurrection of the dead—have you never read what was said to you by God,

Pastaj sa për ringjalljen e të vdekurve, a nuk e keni lexuar ç’ju ishte thënë nga Perëndia kur thotë:

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!

"Unë jam Perëndia i Abrahamit, Perëndia i Isakut dhe i Jakobit"? Perëndia nuk është Perëndia i të vdekurve, por i të gjallëve.”

33 A nd when the throng heard it, they were astonished and filled with '> glad] amazement at His teaching.

Dhe turmat, kur i dëgjuan këto gjëra, habiteshin nga doktrina e tij.

34 N ow when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced ( muzzled) the Sadducees, they gathered together.

Atëherë farisenjtë, kur dëgjuan se ai ua kishte zënë gojën saducenjve, u mblodhën tok.

35 A nd one of their number, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him.

Dhe një nga ata, mësues i ligjit, e pyeti për të vënë në provë, duke thënë:

36 T eacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law?

“Mësues, cili është urdhërimi i madh i ligjit?.”

37 A nd He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

Dhe Jezusi i tha: “"Duaje Zotin, Perëndinë tënde me gjithë zemrën tënde, me gjithë shpirtin tënd dhe me gjithë mendjen tënde".

38 T his is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.

Ky është urdhërimi i parë dhe i madhi.

39 A nd a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Dhe i dyti, i ngjashëm me këtë, është: "Duaje të afërmin tënd porsi vetveten".

40 T hese two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.

Nga këto dy urdhërime varet i tërë ligji dhe profetët.”

41 N ow while the Pharisees were still assembled there, Jesus asked them a question,

Tani, kur u mblodhën farisenjtë, Jezusi i pyeti:

42 S aying, What do you think of the Christ? Whose Son is He? They said to Him, The Son of David.

“Ç’u duket juve për Krishtin? Biri i kujt është?.” Ata i thanë: “I Davidit.”

43 H e said to them, How is it then that David, under the influence of the Spirit, calls Him Lord, saying,

Ai u tha atyre: “Si pra Davidi, në Frymë, e quan Zot, duke thënë:

44 T he Lord said to My Lord, Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet?

"Zoti i ka thënë Zotit tim: Ulu në të djathtën time, deri sa unë t’i vë armiqtë e tu si stol të këmbëve të tua"?

45 I f then David thus calls Him Lord, how is He his Son?

Në qoftë se Davidi e quan Zot, si mund të jetë biri i tij?.”

46 A nd no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day did anyone venture or dare to question Him.

Por asnjë nuk ishte në gjendje t’i përgjigjej; dhe, që nga ajo ditë, askush nuk guxoi ta pyesë më.
