1 M oreover, the Lord said to Job,

Zoti vazhdoi t’i përgjigjet Jobit dhe tha:

2 S hall he who would find fault with the Almighty contend with Him? He who disputes with God, let him answer it.

"Ai që kundërshton të Plotfuqishmin, a dëshiron vallë ta korrigjojë? Ai që qorton Perëndinë, t’i përgjigjet kësaj pyetjeje".

3 T hen Job replied to the Lord:

Atëherë Jobi iu përgjigj Zotit dhe i tha:

4 B ehold, I am of small account and vile! What shall I answer You? I lay my hand upon my mouth.

"Ja, jam shpirtvogël, çfarë mund të të përgjigjem? E vë dorën mbi gojën time.

5 I have spoken once, but I will not reply again—indeed, twice, but I will proceed no further.

Kam folur një herë, por nuk do të flas më; po, dy herë, por nuk do të shtoj asgjë".

6 T hen the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, saying,

Atëherë Zoti iu përgjigj Jobit në mes të furtunës dhe i tha:

7 G ird up your loins now like a man; I will demand of you, and you answer Me.

"Çohu, ngjishe brezin si një trim; unë do të të pyes dhe ti do të më përgjigjesh.

8 W ill you also annul (set aside and render void) My judgment? Will you condemn Me, that you may righteous and justified?

A dëshiron pikërisht të anulosh gjykimin tim, të më dënosh mua për të justifikuar vetveten?

9 H ave you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

A ke ti një krah si ai i Perëndisë dhe a mund të të gjëmojë zëri sa zëri i tij?

10 d eck yourself now with the excellency and dignity, and array yourself with honor and majesty.

Stolisu, pra, me madhështi dhe madhëri, vishu me lavdi dhe me shkëlqim.

11 P our forth the overflowings of your anger, and look on everyone who is proud and abase him;

Jepu rrugë tërbimeve të zemërimit tënd; shiko tërë mendjemëdhenjtë dhe uli,

12 L ook on everyone who is proud and bring him low, and tread down the wicked where they stand.

shiko tërë kryelartët dhe poshtëroji, dhe shtypi njerëzit e këqij kudo që të ndodhen.

13 h ide them all in the dust together; shut them up.

15 B ehold now the behemoth (the hippopotamus), which I created as I did you; he eats grass like an ox.

Shiko behemothin që e kam bërë njëlloj si ti; ai ha barin si kau.

16 S ee now, his strength is in his loins, and his power is in the sinews of his belly.

Ja, forca e tij qëndron në ijet dhe fuqia e tij në muskujt e barkut të tij.

17 H e moves his tail like a cedar tree; the tendons of his thighs are twisted together.

E lëkund bishtin e tij si një kedër; nervat e kofshëve të tij janë të thurura mirë.

18 H is bones are like tubes of bronze; his limbs are like bars of iron.

20 S urely the mountains bring him food, where all the wild animals play.

21 H e lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reeds in the marsh.

23 B ehold, if a river is violent and overflows, he does not tremble; he is confident, though the Jordan swells and rushes against his mouth.

24 C an any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?
