1 L ooking up, saw the rich people putting their gifts into the treasury.

Pastaj Jezusi i çoi sytë dhe pa pasanikët që qitnin dhuratat e tyre në arkën e thesarit,

2 A nd He saw also a poor widow putting in two mites (copper coins).

dhe pa edhe një të ve të varfër që qiti dy pare të vogla

3 A nd He said, Truly I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them;

dhe tha: “Në të vërtetë po ju them se kjo e ve e varfër ka qitur më shumë se gjithë të tjerët.

4 F or they all gave out of their abundance (their surplus); but she has contributed out of her lack and her want, putting in all that she had on which to live.

Sepse të gjithë këta dhanë nga tepricat e pasurisë së tyre për shtëpinë e Perëndisë, kurse ajo, në varfërinë e vet, dha gjithçka që kishte për të jetuar.”

5 A nd as some were saying of the temple that it was decorated with handsome (shapely and magnificent) stones and consecrated offerings '> laid up to be kept], He said,

Pastaj, kur disa po flisnin për tempullin dhe vinin në pah se ishte i stolisur me gurë të bukur dhe me oferta, ai tha:

6 A s for all this that you look at, the time will come when there shall not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.

“Nga të gjitha këto gjëra që ju admironi, do të vijnë ditët kur nuk do të mbetet gur mbi gur pa u rrënuar.”

7 A nd they asked Him, Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when this is about to occur?

Atëherë ata e pyetën duke thënë: “Mësues, kur do të ndodhin këto dhe cila do të jetë shenja se këto janë duke u kryer?.”

8 A nd He said, Be on your guard and be careful that you are not led astray; for many will come in My name '> appropriating to themselves the name Messiah which belongs to Me], saying, I am He! and, The time is at hand! Do not go out after them.

Dhe ai tha: “Ruhuni se mos ju mashtrojnë, sepse shumë veta do të vijnë në emrin tim duke thënë: "Unë jam," dhe: "Erdhi koha". Mos shkoni, pra, pas tyre.

9 A nd when you hear of wars and insurrections (disturbances, disorder, and confusion), do not become alarmed and panic-stricken and terrified; for all this must take place first, but the end will not immediately.

Dhe kur të dëgjoni të flitet për luftëra e për trazira, mos u trembni, sepse të gjitha këto duhet të ndodhin më parë, por mbarimi nuk do të vijë menjëherë.”

10 T hen He told them, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Atëherë u tha atyre: “Do të ngrihet kombi kundër kombit; dhe mbretëria kundër mbretërisë;

11 T here will be mighty and violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences (plagues: malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases which are deadly and devastating); and there will be sights of terror and great signs from heaven.

do të ngjajnë tërmete të mëdha, zi buke dhe murtaja në vende të ndryshme; do të ndodhin edhe dukuri të llahtarshme dhe shenja të mëdha nga qielli.

12 B ut previous to all this, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be led away before kings and governors for My name’s sake.

Por, para të gjitha këtyre gjërave, do të vënë dorë mbi ju dhe do t’ju përndjekin dhe do t’ju dorëzojnë në sinagoga e do t’ju futin në burg; dhe do t’ju nxjerrin përpara mbretërve dhe guvernatorëve për shkak të emrit tim,

13 T his will be a time (an opportunity) for you to bear testimony.

14 R esolve and settle it in your minds not to meditate and prepare beforehand how you are to make your defense and how you will answer.

Ta vini, pra, në zemrën tuaj që të mos mendoni më parë se si do përgjigjeni për t’u mbrojtur,

15 F or I will give you a mouth and such utterance and wisdom that all of your foes combined will be unable to stand against or refute.

sepse unë do t’ju jap një gojë e një dituri të tillë të cilën të gjithë kundërshtarët tuaj nuk do të jenë në gjendje ta kundërshtojnë ose t’i rezistojnë.

16 Y ou will be delivered up and betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and of you they will put to death.

Dhe ju madje do t’ju tradhtojnë edhe prindërit, dhe vëllezërit, dhe farefisi dhe miqtë; dhe disa prej jush do t’i vrasin.

17 A nd you will be hated (despised) by everyone because My name and for its sake.

Dhe të gjithë do t’ju urrejnë për shkak të emrit tim.

18 B ut not a hair of your head shall perish.

Por as edhe një fije floku e kokës suaj nuk do t’ju humbasë.

19 B y your steadfastness and patient endurance you shall win the true life of your souls.

Me durimin tuaj ju do t’i fitoni shpirtrat tuaj.”

20 B ut when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know and understand that its desolation has come near.

“Dhe kur do të shikoni Jeruzalemin të rrethuar nga ushtritë, ta dini se shkretimi i saj është afër.

21 T hen let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside get out of it, and let not those who are out in the country come into it;

Atëherë ata që janë në Jude, të ikin në male; dhe ata që janë në qytet të largohen; dhe ata që janë në fushë të mos hyjnë në të.

22 F or those are days of vengeance, that all things that are written may be fulfilled.

Sepse ato janë ditë të hakmarrjes, që të përmbushen të gjitha ato gjëra që janë shkruar.

23 A las for those who are pregnant and for those who have babies which they are nursing in those days! For great misery and anguish and distress shall be upon the land and indignation and punishment and retribution upon this people.

Mjerë gratë shtatzëna dhe ato që mëndin në ato ditë, sepse do të ketë mjerim të madh në vend dhe mëri mbi këtë popull.

24 T hey will fall by the mouth and the edge of the sword and will be led away as captives to and among all nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (completed).

Dhe ata do të bien nga tehu i shpatës, do t’i çojnë robër ndër të gjitha kombet, dhe Jeruzalemin do ta shkelin paganët, derisa të plotësohen kohët e paganëve.”

25 A nd there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity '> without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn] at the roaring ( the echo) of the tossing of the sea,

“Dhe do të ketë shenja në diell, në hënë dhe në yje, dhe mbi tokë ankth popujsh, në përhumbjen prej gjëmës së detit dhe të valëve të tij;

26 M en swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken and caused to totter.

njerëzit do të mpaken nga frika dhe nga pritja se çfare do ta pllakosë botën, sepse fuqitë qiellore do të lëkunden.

27 A nd then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great (transcendent and overwhelming) power and glory (majesty and splendor).

Atëherë do të shohin Birin e njeriut duke ardhur mbi një re, me fuqi dhe lavdi të madhe.

28 N ow when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near.

Dhe kur këto të fillojnë të ndodhin, shikoni lart dhe ngrini kokat tuaja, sepse çlirimi juaj është afër.”

29 A nd He told them a parable: Look at the fig tree and all the trees;

Pastaj u tha atyre një shëmbëlltyrë: “Vini re fikun dhe të gjitha pemët.

30 W hen they put forth their buds and come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and perceive and know that summer is already near.

Kur ata nisin e mugullojnë, duke i parë, ju vete e kuptoni se vera është afër;

31 E ven so, when you see these things taking place, understand and know that the kingdom of God is at hand.

kështu edhe ju, kur do të shikoni se po ndodhin këto, ta dini se mbretëria e Perëndisë është afër.

32 T ruly I tell you, this generation ( those living at that definite period of time) will not perish and pass away until all has taken place.

Në të vërtetë unë po ju them se nuk do të kalojë ky brez, derisa të gjitha këto gjëra të kenë ndodhur.

33 T he sky and the earth ( the universe, the world) will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

Qielli dhe toka do të kalojnë, por fjalët e mia nuk do të kalojnë.”

34 B ut take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to '> business of] this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose;

“Tani kini kujdes që zemrat tuaja të mos rëndohen nga të llupurit, nga të dehurit dhe nga preokupimet e kësaj jete; që ajo ditë të mos ju zërë në befasi.

35 F or it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth.

Sepse do të vijë si një lak mbi të gjithë ata që banojnë mbi faqen e mbarë dheut.

36 K eep awake then and watch at all times, praying that you may have the full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

Prandaj, rrini zgjuar dhe lutuni kurdoherë që të çmoheni të denjë të shpëtoni nga të gjitha ato që do të ngjasin dhe të dilni para Birit të njeriut.”

37 N ow in the daytime Jesus was teaching in '> the porches and courts of] the temple, but at night He would go out and stay on the mount called Olivet.

Gjatë ditës ai mësonte në tempull, dhe natën dilte dhe e kalonte jashtë, në malin e Ullinjve.

38 A nd early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple '> porches or courts] to listen to Him.

Dhe gjithë populli, herët në mëngjes, erdhi tek ai në tempull për ta dëgjuar.
