1 B ut you, teach what is fitting and becoming to sound (wholesome) doctrine.

2 U rge the older men to be temperate, venerable (serious), sensible, self-controlled, and sound in the faith, in the love, and in the steadfastness and patience.

pleqtë të jenë të përmbajtur, dinjitozë, të urtë, të shëndoshë në besim, në dashuri, në durim.

3 B id the older women similarly to be reverent and devout in their deportment as becomes those engaged in sacred service, not slanderers or slaves to drink. They are to give good counsel and be teachers of what is right and noble,

Gjithashtu edhe gratë e moshuara të kenë sjellje ashtu si u ka hije shenjtoreve, jo shpifëse, jo robinja ndaj verës së shumtë, por mësuese të së mirës,

4 S o that they will wisely train the young women to be sane and sober of mind (temperate, disciplined) and to love their husbands and their children,

që t’i mësojnë të rejat të duan burrat e tyre, të duan bijtë e tyre,

5 T o be self-controlled, chaste, homemakers, good-natured (kindhearted), adapting and subordinating themselves to their husbands, that the word of God may not be exposed to reproach (blasphemed or discredited).

të jenë fjalëpakë, të dlira, t’i kushtohen punëve të shtëpisë, të mira, të bindura ndaj burrave të tyre, që fjala e Perëndisë të mos blasfemohet.

6 I n a similar way, urge the younger men to be self-restrained and to behave prudently.

Nxiti gjithashtu të rinjtë që të jenë të matur,

7 A nd show your own self in all respects to be a pattern and a model of good deeds and works, teaching what is unadulterated, showing gravity, with dignity and seriousness.

duke e nxjerrë në çdo gjë veten tënde si shembull veprash të mira, duke treguar në mësim pastërti, dinjitet, paprishshmëri,

8 A nd let your instruction be sound and fit and wise and wholesome, vigorous and irrefutable and above censure, so that the opponent may be put to shame, finding nothing discrediting or evil to say about us.

një e folur e shëndoshë e të paqortueshme, që kundërshtari të turpërohet e të mos ketë të flasë asgjë të keqe për ju.

9 b ond servants to be submissive to their masters, to be pleasing and give satisfaction in every way. not to talk back or contradict,

Shërbëtorët t’u binden zotërinjve të tyre, të mundohen t’i kënaqin në të gjitha gjërat, të mos i kundërshtojnë me fjalë,

10 N or to steal by taking things of small value, but to prove themselves truly loyal and entirely reliable and faithful throughout, so that in everything they may be an ornament and do credit to the teaching from and about God our Savior.

të mos përvetësojnë gjënë e huaj, por të tregojnë një besnikëri të plotë, që në çdo gjë të nderojnë mësimin e Perëndisë, Shpëtimtarit tonë.

11 F or the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind.

Sepse hiri shpëtues i Perëndisë iu shfaq gjithë njerëzve,

12 I t has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world,

dhe na mëson të mohojmë pabesinë dhe lakmitë e botës, sepse ne rrojmë me urtësi, me drejtësi dhe me perëndishmëri në këtë jetë,

13 A waiting and looking for the blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

duke pritur shpresën e lume dhe të shfaqurit e lavdisë të të madhit Perëndi dhe të Shpëtimtarit tonë Jezu Krisht,

14 W ho gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people eager and enthusiastic about beneficial deeds.

i cili e dha veten për ne, për të na shpenguar nga çdo paudhësi dhe për të pastruar për vete një popull të veçantë, të zellshëm në vepra të mira.

15 T ell these things. Urge (advise, encourage, warn) and rebuke with full authority. Let no one despise or disregard or think little of you.
