1 T hen the fifth angel blew trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth; and to the angel was given the key of the shaft of the Abyss (the bottomless pit).

Dhe i pesti engjëll i ra borisë, dhe unë pashë një yll që ra nga qielli përmbi tokë; dhe atij iu dha çelësi i pusit të humnerës.

2 H e opened the long shaft of the Abyss (the bottomless pit), and smoke like the smoke of a huge furnace puffed out of the long shaft, so that the sun and the atmosphere were darkened by the smoke from the long shaft.

Dhe ai hapi pusin e humnerës dhe nga pusi u ngrit një tym si nga një oxhak i madh; dhe dielli dhe ajri u errën nga tymi i pusit.

3 T hen out of the smoke locusts came forth on the earth, and such power was granted them as the power the earth’s scorpions have.

Edhe nga ky tym dolën mbi dhe karkaleca, dhe atyre iu dha një pushtet, i ngjashëm me atë të akrepave të tokës.

4 T hey were told not to injure the herbage of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only such human beings as do not have the seal (mark) of God on their foreheads.

Dhe atyre iu tha të mos dëmtojnë barin e dheut, asnjë gjelbërim e asnjë dru, por vetëm ata njerëzit të cilët nuk kanë vulën e Perëndisë mbi ballë.

5 T hey were not permitted to kill them, but to torment (distress, vex) them for five months; and the pain caused them was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a person.

Dhe atyre iu dha fuqia të mos i vrasin ata, por t’i mundojnë pesë muaj; dhe mundimi i tyre si mundimi i akrepit, kur pickon.

6 A nd in those days people will seek death and will not find it; and they will yearn to die, but death evades and flees from them.

Dhe në ato ditë njerëzit do të kërkojnë vdekjen, por nuk do ta gjejnë atë, edhe do të dëshirojnë të vdesin, por vdekja do të largohet prej tyre.

7 T he locusts resembled horses equipped for battle. On their heads was something like golden crowns. Their faces resembled the faces of people.

Dhe pamja e karkalecave u përngjante kuajve të gatitur për luftë; dhe mbi kokat e tyre kishin si kurora prej ari dhe fytyrat e tyre ishin si fytyra njerëzish.

8 T hey had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.

Dhe kishin flokë si flokë grash; dhe dhëmbët e tyre ishin si dhëmbë luanësh.

9 T heir breastplates (scales) resembled breastplates made of iron, and the noise made by their wings was like the roar of a vast number of horse-drawn chariots going at full speed into battle.

Dhe kishin parzmore si parzmore hekuri, dhe ushtima e krahëve të tyre ishte si ushtima i shumë qerrëve dhe kuajve që rendin në luftim.

10 T hey have tails like scorpions, and they have stings, and in their tails lies their ability to hurt men for five months.

Dhe kishin bishtra që u ngjanin akrepave dhe me thumb në bishtrat e tyre: në të cilat qëndronte fuqia të dëmtonin njerëzit për pesë muaj.

11 O ver them as king they have the angel of the Abyss (of the bottomless pit). In Hebrew his name is Abaddon, but in Greek he is called Apollyon.

Dhe për mbret përmbi ta kishin engjëllin e humnerës, emri e tij në hebraisht është Abadon dhe në greqisht emrin e ka Apolion.

12 T he first woe (calamity) has passed; behold, two others are yet to follow.

Mjerimi i parë kaloi; ja, po vijnë edhe dy mjerime paskëtaj.

13 T hen the sixth angel blew trumpet, and from the four horns of the golden altar which stands before God I heard a solitary voice,

Dhe i gjashti engjëll i ra borisë, dhe dëgjova një zë nga të katër brirët e altarit të artë që është përpara Perëndisë,

14 S aying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Liberate the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.

që i thoshte engjëllit të gjashtë që kishte borinë: “Zgjidh të katër engjëjt që janë të lidhur në Lumin e madh, Eufratin.”

15 S o the four angels who had been in readiness for that hour in the appointed day, month, and year were liberated to destroy a third of mankind.

Atëherë të katër engjëjt, që ishin përgatitur për atë orë, ditë, muaj dhe vit, u zgjidhën që të vrasin të tretën pjesë të njerëzve.

16 T he number of their troops of cavalry was twice ten thousand times ten thousand (200, 000, 000); I heard what their number was.

Dhe numri i ushtarëve të kalorësisë ishte dyqind milion: dhe unë e dëgjova numrin e tyre.

17 A nd in vision the horses and their riders appeared to me like this: the riders wore breastplates the color of fiery red and sapphire blue and sulphur (brimstone) yellow. The heads of the horses looked like lions’ heads, and from their mouths there poured fire and smoke and sulphur (brimstone).

Dhe kështu unë pashë në vegim kuajt dhe ata që i kalëronin; ata kishin parzmore ngjyrë zjarri, hiacinti dhe squfuri; dhe kokat e kuajve ishin si koka luanësh dhe nga gojët e tyre dilte zjarr, tym dhe squfur.

18 A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues—by the fire and the smoke and the sulphur (brimstone) that poured from the mouths of the horses.

Nga këto të tri plagë u vra e treta e njerëzve, nga zjarri e nga tymi e nga squfuri, që dilnin nga gojët e tyre.

19 F or the power of the horses to do harm is in their mouths and also in their tails. Their tails are like serpents, for they have heads, and it is by means of them that they wound people.

Sepse pushteti i tyre në fakt ishte në gojën e tyre dhe në bishtrat e tyre; sepse bishtrat e tyre ishin të ngjashëm me gjarpërinj, që kanë koka dhe me anë të tyre dëmtonin.

20 A nd the rest of humanity who were not killed by these plagues even then did not repent of the works of their hands, so as to cease paying homage to the demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor move.

Dhe njerëzit e tjerë, ata që nuk u vranë nga këto plagë, nuk u penduan nga veprat e duarve të tyre që të mos nderojnë demonët dhe idhujt prej ari, argjendi, bronzi, guri dhe druri, që nuk mund të shohin, as të dëgjojnë, as të ecin;

21 A nd they did not repent of their murders or their practice of magic (sorceries) or their sexual vice or their thefts.

dhe ata nuk u penduan nga vrasjet e tyre, as nga magjia e tyre, as nga kurvërimi i tyre dhe as nga vjedhjet e tyre.
