1 A nd God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters sank down and abated.

Тогава си спомни Бог за Ноя и за всичко живо и за всичкия добитък, що бяха с него в ковчега; и Бог накара вятър да мине по земята, та водите престанаха.

2 A lso the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the gushing rain from the sky was checked,

Тоже се затвориха изворите на бездната и небесните отвори, и дъждът от небето спря.

3 A nd the waters receded from the land continually. At the end of 150 days the waters had diminished.

Малко по малко водите се оттеглиха от земята и подир сто и петдесет дни водите взеха да намаляват.

4 O n the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

А на седемнадесетия ден от седмия месец ковчегът заседна върху Араратските планини.

5 A nd the waters continued to diminish until the tenth month; on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the high hills were seen.

Водите намаляваха непрестанно до десетия месец; и на първия ден от десетия месец върховете на планините се показаха.

6 A t the end of forty days Noah opened a window of the ark which he had made

После, след четиридесет дни, Ной отвори прозореца на ковчега, що беше направил;

7 A nd sent forth a raven, which kept going to and fro until the waters were dried up from the land.

и изпрати гарван, който, като излезе, отиваше насам натам докато пресъхнаха водите на земята.

8 T hen he sent forth a dove to see if the waters had decreased from the surface of the ground.

Тогава изпрати гълъб, за да види дали са престанали водите по лицето на земята.

9 B ut the dove found no resting-place on which to roost, and she returned to him to the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole land. So he put forth his hand and drew her to him into the ark.

Но гълъбът, понеже не намери почивка за нозете си, върна се при него в ковчега, защото водата бе още по лицето на цялата земя. И той простря ръка та го взе, и внесе го при себе си в ковчега.

10 H e waited another seven days and again sent forth the dove out of the ark.

А като почака още седем дни, пак изпрати гълъба от ковчега.

11 A nd the dove came back to him in the evening, and behold, in her mouth was a newly sprouted and freshly plucked olive leaf! So Noah knew that the waters had subsided from the land.

И надвечер гълъбът се върна при него, и ето, имаше в устата си пресен маслинен лист; така Ной позна, че водата е спаднала по земята.

12 T hen he waited another seven days and sent forth the dove, but she did not return to him any more.

След това той почака още седем дни, и изпрати гълъба; но той не се върна вече при него.

13 I n the year 601, on the first day of the first month, the waters were drying up from the land. And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was drying.

В шестстотин и първата година на Ноевия живот, на първия ден от първия месец, водата пресъхна на земята; и Ной, като дигна покрива на ковчега, погледна, и, ето, повърхността на земята бе изсъхнала.

14 A nd on the twenty-seventh day of the second month the land was entirely dry.

А на двадесет и седмия ден от втория месец земята съвършено изсъхна.

15 A nd God spoke to Noah, saying,

Тогава говори Бог на Ноя, казвайки:

16 G o forth from the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives with you.

Излез от ковчега, ти, жена ти, синовете ти и жените им с тебе.

17 B ring forth every living thing that is with you of all flesh—birds and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the ground—that they may breed abundantly on the land and be fruitful and multiply upon the earth.

Изведи със себе си всичко живо от всяка твар, що е с тебе,- птици, добитък и всичките животни които пълзят по земята, за да се разплодяват по земята, да раждат и да се умножават по земята.

18 A nd Noah went forth, and his wife and his sons and their wives with him.

Ной излезе, и с него синовете му, жена му и снахите му;

19 E very beast, every creeping thing, every bird—and whatever moves on the land—went forth by families out of the ark.

излязоха от ковчега и всичките животни, всичките птици, всичко, що се движи по земята според родовете си.

20 A nd Noah built an altar to the Lord and took of every clean animal and of every clean fowl or bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

И Ной издигна олтар на Господа; и взе от всяко чисто животно и от всяка чиста птица, та ги принесе за всеизгаряне на олтара;

21 W hen the Lord smelled the pleasing odor, the Lord said to Himself, I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the imagination (the strong desire) of man’s heart is evil and wicked from his youth; neither will I ever again smite and destroy every living thing, as I have done.

и Господ помириса сладко благоухание; и рече Господ в сърцето Си: Не ще проклинам вече земята, поради човека, защото помислите на човешкото сърце са зло още от младините му, нито ще поразя вече друг път всичко живо както сторих.

22 W hile the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Догде съществува земята, сеитба и жътва, студ и горещина, лято и зима, ден и нощ няма да престанат.
