1 A nd Jesus said to them, Truly and solemnly I say to you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death before they see the kingdom of God come in power.

И рече им: Истина ви казвам: Има някои, от тук стоящите, които никак няма да вкусят смърт, докле не видят Божието царство дошло в сила.

2 S ix days after this, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves. And He was transfigured before them and became resplendent with divine brightness.

И след шест дни Исус взема Петра, Якова и Йоана, и завежда само тях на една висока планина насаме; и преобрази се пред тях.

3 A nd His garments became glistening, intensely white, as no fuller (cloth dresser, launderer) on earth could bleach them.

Дрехите му станаха бляскави, твърде бели, каквито никой белач на земята не може така да избели.

4 A nd Elijah appeared to them, accompanied by Moses, and they were holding conversation with Jesus.

И яви им се Илия с Мойсея, които се разговаряха с Исуса.

5 A nd Peter took up the conversation, saying, Master, it is good and suitable and beautiful for us to be here. Let us make three booths (tents)—one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah.

А Петър проговори, казвайки на Исуса: Учителю, добре е да сме тука; и нека направим три шатри, за Тебе една, за Мойсея една и една за Илия;

6 F or he did not know what to say, for they were in a violent fright ( aghast with dread).

защото не знаеше какво да отговори, понеже почнаха да се плашат много.

7 A nd a cloud threw a shadow upon them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, the '> most dearworthy] Beloved One. Be constantly listening to and obeying Him!

И яви се облак и ги засени; и глас дойде из облака, който каза: Този е Моят възлюблен Син; Него слушайте.

8 A nd looking around, they suddenly no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus only.

И внезапно, като се озърнаха, не видяха вече никого при себе си, освен Исуса.

9 A nd as they were coming back down the mountain, He admonished and expressly ordered them to tell no one what they had seen until the Son of Man should rise from among the dead.

И като слизаха от планината, заръча им да не казват никому това що бяха видели, освен когато Човешкият Син бъде възкресен от мъртвите.

10 S o they carefully and faithfully kept the matter to themselves, questioning and disputing with one another about what rising from among the dead meant.

И те пазеха тая поръчка, като разискваха помежду си що значи да възкръсне от мъртвите.

11 A nd they asked Him, Why do the scribes say that it is necessary for Elijah to come first?

И попитаха Го, казвайки: Защо думат книжниците, че трябва първо Илия да дойде?

12 A nd He said to them, Elijah, it is true, does come first to restore all things and set them to rights. And how is it written of the Son of Man that He will suffer many things and be utterly despised and be treated with contempt and rejected?

А Той им каза: Наистина, Илия първо ще дойде и ще възстанови всичко. И как е писано за Човешкия Син?_

13 B ut I tell you that Elijah has already come, and did to him whatever they desired, as it is written of him.

Но казвам ви, че Илия е вече дошъл, и те постъпиха с него както си искаха, според както си искаха, според както е писано за него.

14 A nd when they came to the disciples, they saw a great crowd around them and scribes questioning and disputing with them.

И когато дойдоха при учениците, видяха около тях едно голямо множество, и книжници, които се препираха с тях.

15 A nd immediately all the crowd, when they saw Jesus '> returning from the holy mount, His face and person yet glistening], they were greatly amazed and ran up to Him greeted Him.

И веднага като Го видя цялото множество, смая се, стекоха се и Го поздравяваха.

16 A nd He asked them, About what are you questioning and discussing with them?

И Той ги попита: 3а какво се препирате с тях?

17 A nd one of the throng replied to Him, Teacher, I brought my son to You, for he has a dumb spirit.

И един от народа Му отговори: Учителю, доведох при Тебе сина си, който има ням дух.

18 A nd wherever it lays hold of him, it dashes him down and convulses him, and he foams and grinds his teeth, and he '> falls into a motionless stupor and] is wasting away. And I asked Your disciples to drive it out, and they were not able.

И гдето и да го прехване, тръшка го; и той се запеня, скърца със зъби, и се вцепенява; и говорих на Твоите ученици да изгонят беса, но не можаха.

19 A nd He answered them, O unbelieving generation! How long shall I with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to Me.

А Той в отговор им каза: О роде невярващ, докога ще бъда с вас? Докога ще ви търпя? Доведете го при Мене.

20 S o they brought to Him, and when the spirit saw Him, at once it completely convulsed the boy, and he fell to the ground and kept rolling about, foaming.

И доведоха го при Него. И като го видя хванатият от бяс, веднага духът го сгърчи; и той падна на земята и се валяше запенен.

21 A nd asked his father, How long has he had this? And he answered, From the time he was a little boy.

И попита Исус баща му: Колко време има откак му е станало това? А той каза: От детинство.

22 A nd it has often thrown him both into fire and into water, intending to kill him. But if You can do anything, do have pity on us and help us.

И много пъти го е хвърлял и в огън, и във вода, за да го погуби; но ако можеш стори нещо, смили се за нас и помогни ни.

23 A nd Jesus said,, If You can do anything? all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!

А Исус му рече: Ако можеш повярва! Всичко е възможно за този, който вярва.

24 A t once the father of the boy gave '> eager, piercing, inarticulate] cry with tears, and he said, Lord, I believe! help my weakness of faith!

Веднага бащата на детето извика, казвайки: Вярвам,! Помогни на моето неверие.

25 B ut when Jesus noticed that a crowd came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you to come out of him and never go into him again.

А Исус, като видя, че се стича народ, смъмра нечистия дух, казвайки му: Душе неми и глухи, Аз ти заповядвам: излез от него, и да не влезеш вече в него.

26 A nd after giving a shriek of anguish and convulsing him terribly, it came out; and the boy lay like a corpse, so that many of them said, He is dead.

И духът, като изпищя и го сгърчи силно, излезе; и детето стана като мъртво, така щото болшинството думаха, че е умряло.

27 B ut Jesus took '> a strong grip of] his hand and began lifting him up, and he stood.

Но Исус го хвана за ръката и го дигна; и то стана.

28 A nd when He had gone indoors, His disciples asked Him privately, Why could not we drive it out?

И когато влезе в къщи, учениците Му Го попитаха насаме: Защо ние не можахме да го изгоним?

29 A nd He replied to them, This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting.

И каза им: Тоя род с нищо не може да излезе, освен с молитва.

30 T hey went on from there and passed along through Galilee. And He did not wish to have anyone know it,

И като излязоха оттам, минаваха през Галилея; и Той искаше никой да не узнае това.

31 F or He was teaching His disciples. He said to them, The Son of Man is being delivered into the hands of men, and they will put Him to death; and when He has been killed, after three days He will rise '> from death].

Защото учеше учениците Си, като им казваше: Човешкият Син ще бъде предаден в ръцете на човеци, и ще Го убият; и след като Го убият, подир три дни ще възкръсне.

32 B ut they did not comprehend what He was saying, and they were afraid to ask Him.

Но те не разбраха думата, и бояха се да Го попитат.

33 A nd they arrived at Capernaum; and when in the house, He asked them, What were you discussing and arguing about on the road?

И дойдоха в Капернаум; и когато влезе вкъщи попита ги: Какво разисквахте из пътя?

34 B ut they kept still, for on the road they had discussed and disputed with one another as to who was the greatest.

А те мълчаха, защото из пътя бяха се препирали помежду си кой е по-голям?

35 A nd He sat down and called the Twelve, and He said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he must be last of all, and servant of all.

И като седна, повика дванадесетте и каза им: Който иска да бъде пръв, ще бъде от всички последен и на всички служител.

36 A nd He took a little child and put him in the center of their group; and taking him in arms, He said to them,

Тогава взе едно детенце и го постави посред тях; и като го прегърна, рече им:

37 W hoever in My name and for My sake accepts and receives and welcomes one such child also accepts and receives and welcomes Me; and whoever so receives Me receives not only Me but Him Who sent Me.

Който приеме едно от тези дечица в Мое име, и Мене приема; и който приеме Мене, приема не Мене, но Този, Който Ме е пратил.

38 J ohn said to Him, Teacher, we saw a man who does not follow along with us driving out demons in Your name, and we forbade him to do it, because he is not one of our band.

Йоан Му каза: Учителю, видяхме един човек да изгонва бесове в Твое име; и му запретихме, защото не следваше нас.

39 B ut Jesus said, Do not restrain or hinder or forbid him; for no one who does a mighty work in My name will soon afterward be able to speak evil of Me.

А Исус рече: Недейте му запрещава; защото няма никой, който да извърши велико дело в Мое име, и да може скоро след това да Ме злослови.

40 F or he who is not against us is for us.

Понеже оня, който не е против нас, е откъм нас.

41 F or I tell you truly, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to and bear the name of Christ will by no means fail to get his reward.

Защото който ви напои с чаша вода, понеже сте Христови, истина ви казвам: Той никак няма да изгуби наградата си.

42 A nd whoever causes one of these little ones (these believers) who acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin, it would be better (more profitable and wholesome) for him if a millstone were hung about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

А който съблазни едно от тия скромните, които вярват в Мене, за него би било по-добре да се окачи голям воденичен камък на врата му и да бъде хвърлен в морето.

43 A nd if your hand puts a stumbling block before you and causes you to sin, cut it off! It is more profitable and wholesome for you to go into life '> that is really worthwhile] maimed than with two hands to go to hell (Gehenna),

И ако те съблазни ръката ти, отсечи я; по-добре е за тебе да влезеш в живота недъгав, отколкото да имаш двете си ръце и да отидеш в пъкъла, в неугасимия огън,

44 Where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out.

45 A nd if your foot is a cause of stumbling and sin to you, cut it off! It is more profitable and wholesome for you to enter into life crippled than, having two feet, to be cast into hell (Gehenna).

И ако ногата ти те съблазни, отсечи я; по-добре е за тебе да влезеш в живота куц, отколкото да имаш двете си нозе и да бъдеш хвърлен в пъкъла,

46 Where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out.

47 A nd if your eye causes you to stumble and sin, pluck it out! It is more profitable and wholesome for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell (Gehenna),

И ако окото ти те съблазни, извади го; по-добре е за тебе да влезеш в Божието царство с едно око, отколкото да имаш двете си очи и да бъдеш хвърлен в пъкъла,

48 W here their worm '> which preys on the inhabitants and is a symbol of the wounds inflicted on the man himself by his sins] does not die, and the fire is not put out.

дето "червеят им не умира, и огънят не угасва".

49 F or everyone shall be salted with fire.

Защото всеки ще се осоли с огън,.

50 S alt is good (beneficial), but if salt has lost its saltness, how will you restore it? Have salt within yourselves, and be at peace and live in harmony with one another.

Добро нещо е солта; но ако солта стане безсолна, с какво ще я подправите? Имайте сол в себе си, и мир имайте помежду си.
