1 C ome near, you nations, to hear; and hearken, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it; the world, and all things that come forth from it.

Приближете се народи, за да чуете, И внимавайте, племена; Нека чуе земята и това, което я изпълва, Светът и всичко, което се произвежда от него.

2 F or the Lord is indignant against all nations, and His wrath is against all their host. He has utterly doomed them, He has given them over to slaughter.

Защото Господ негодува спрямо всичките народи, И пламенно се гневи на всичките им множества; Обрекъл ги е на изтребление, Предал ги е на клане.

3 T heir slain also shall be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies shall rise, and the mountains shall flow with their blood.

Също и убитите им ще бъдат разхвърлени, И вонята от труповете им ще се дигне, И планините ще се разтопят в кръвта им.

4 A ll the host of the heavens shall be dissolved and crumble away, and the skies shall be rolled together like a scroll; and all their host shall drop like a faded leaf from the vine, and like a withered fig from the fig tree.

И цялото небесно множество ще се разложи, И небето ще се свие като свитък; И цялото му множество ще падне Както пада лист от лоза, И като паднал лист от смоковница.

Понеже ножът Ми се напи в небесата, Затова, ето, ще сляза за съдба върху Едом, Да! Върху людете, които Аз обрекох на изтребление

6 T he sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is gorged and greased with fatness—with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

Ножът Господен е пълен с кръв, Затлъстя с тлъстина, С кръвта на агнетата и яретата, С тлъстините на овнешките бъбреци; Защото Господ има жертви във Восора, И голямо клане в Едомската земя.

7 A nd the wild oxen shall fall with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be drunk and soaked with blood, and their dust made rich with fatness.

Дивите волове ще слязат с тях, И телците с биковете; Земята им ще се напои с кръв, И пръстта им ще затлъстее с тлъстина.

8 F or the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense, for the cause of Zion.

Защото е ден на възмездие от Господа, Година на въздаяния по сионовото състезание.

9 A nd the streams will be turned into pitch and its dust into brimstone, and its land will become burning pitch.

Потоците на Едом ще се превърнат в смола. И пръстта му в сяра, И земята му ще стане пламтяща смола

10 s hall not be quenched night or day; its smoke shall go up forever. From generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it forever and ever.

Няма да угасне ни нощем ни денем; Димът и ще се издигне непрестанно; Из род в род ще остане опустошена; Никой не ще мине през нея до века.

11 B ut the pelican and the porcupine will possess it; the owl and the bittern and the raven will dwell in it. And He will stretch over it the measuring line of confusion and the plummet stones of chaos.

Но пеликанът и ежът ще я наследят; Кукумявката и гарванът ще живеят в нея; И Господ ще простре върху нея връв за разорение, И отвес за изпразване.

12 T hey shall call its nobles to proclaim the kingdom, but nothing shall be there, and all its princes shall be no more.

Колкото за благородните му, никой от тях няма да се намери там, Та да провъзгласят царството; И всичките му първенци ще достигнат до нищо.

13 A nd thorns shall come up in its palaces and strongholds, nettles and brambles in its fortresses; and it shall be a habitation for jackals, an abode for ostriches.

Тръни ще поникнат в палатите му, Коприва и къпини в крепостите му; И ще бъде заселище на чакали, Двор на камилоптици.

14 A nd the wild beasts of the desert will meet here with howling creatures and the wild goat will call to his fellow; the night monster will settle there and find a place of rest.

Дивите котки ще се срещат там с хиените,, И пръчът ще провиква към другаря си; Тоже и бухалът ще се настани там Като си намира място за почивка.

15 T here shall the arrow snake make her nest and lay her eggs and hatch them and gather her young under her shade; there shall the kites be gathered every one with its mate.

Там ще се загнездя стрелницата змия, И, като носи яйца и мъти, Ще събира малките си под сянката си; Да! там ще се събират лешоядите, Всеки с другарката си.

16 S eek out of the book of the Lord and read: not one of these shall fail, none shall want and lack her mate. For the mouth has commanded, and His Spirit has gathered them.

Потърсете в книгата Господна та прочетете; Никое от тия не ще липсва Нито ще бъде без другарката си; Защото казва Господ: Моите уста заповядаха това; И самият Негов Дух ги събра.

17 A nd He has cast the lot for them, and His hand has portioned to by measuring line. They shall possess it forever; from generation to generation they shall dwell in it.

Той хвърли жребие за тях, И неговата ръка им раздели с мерна връв оная земя; ти ще я владеят до века, Из род в род ще обитават в нея.
