1 I n those days when an immense crowd had gathered and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and told them,

О И веднага влезе в ладията с учениците Си и дойде в далманутанските предели.

2 I have pity and sympathy for the people and My heart goes out to them, for they have been with Me now three days and have nothing to eat;

Жално Ми е за народа, защото три дни вече седят при Мене, и нямат що да ядат;

3 A nd if I send them away to their homes hungry, they will be feeble through exhaustion and faint along the road; and some of them have come a long way.

и ако ги разпусна гладни по домовете им, ще им прималее по пътя; а някои от тях са дошли от далеч.

4 A nd His disciples replied to Him, How can anyone fill and satisfy with loaves of bread here in desolate and uninhabited region?

И учениците Му отговориха: Отде ще може някой да насити тия с хляб тук в уединено място?

5 A nd He asked them, How many loaves have you? They said, Seven.

И попита ги: Колко хляба имате? А те рекоха: Седем.

6 A nd He commanded the multitude to recline upon the ground, and He took the seven loaves and, having given thanks, He broke them and kept on giving them to His disciples to put before, and they placed them before the crowd.

И заповяда на народа да насядат на земята; и като взе седемте хляба, благодари, разчупи и даваше на учениците Си за да ги сложат. И сложиха ги пред народа.

7 A nd they had a few small fish; and when He had praised God and given thanks and asked Him to bless them, He ordered that these also should be set before.

Имаха и малко рибички; и като ги благослови, заповяда да ги сложат и тях.

8 A nd they ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven '> large provision] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

И ядоха и се наситиха; и дигнаха останалите къшеи, седем кошници.

9 A nd there were about 4, 000 people. And He dismissed them,

А ония, които ядоха, бяха около четирихиляди души; и разпусна ги.

10 A nd at once He got into the boat with His disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha (or Magdala).

И веднага влезе в ладията с учениците Си и дойде в далманутанските предели.

11 T he Pharisees came and began to argue with and question Him, demanding from Him a sign (an attesting miracle from heaven) to test Him.

И фарисеите излязоха и почнаха да се препират с Него; и като Го изпитваха, поискаха от Него знамение от небето.

12 A nd He groaned and sighed deeply in His spirit and said, Why does this generation demand a sign? Positively I say to you, no sign shall be given this generation.

А Той въздъхна дълбоко от сърце и рече: Защо тоя род иска знамение? Истина ви казвам: На тоя народ няма да се даде знамение.

13 A nd He went away and left them and, getting into the boat again, He departed to the other side.

И остави ги, влезе пак в ладията, и мина на отвъдната страна.

14 N ow they had '> completely] forgotten to bring bread, and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.

Но учениците Му забравиха да вземат хляб, и нямаха със себе си в ладията повече от един хляб.

15 A nd Jesus charged and admonished them, saying, Look out; keep on your guard and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod and the Herodians.

И Той им заръча, казвайки: Внимавайте, пазете се от кваса на фарисеите и от кваса на Ирода.

16 A nd they discussed it and reasoned with one another, It is because we have no bread.

И те разискваха помежду си, думайки: Това е защото нямаме хляб.

17 A nd being aware, Jesus said to them, Why are you reasoning and saying it is because you have no bread? Do you not yet discern or understand? Are your hearts in hardness?

А Исус, като разбра това; рече им: Защо разисквате загдето нямате хляб? Още ли не разбирате, нито разумявате? Окаменено ли е сърцето ви?

18 H aving eyes, do you not see, and having ears, do you not hear and perceive and understand the sense of what is said? And do you not remember?

Като имате очи, не виждате ли? И като имате уши, не чувате ли? И не помните ли?

19 W hen I broke the five loaves for the 5, 000, how many '> small hand] baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? They said to Him, Twelve.

Когато разчупих петте хляба на петте хиляди души, колко кошове пълни с къшеи дигнахте? Казват му: Дванадесет.

20 A nd the seven loaves for the 4, 000, how many '> large provision] baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? And they said to Him, Seven.

И когато седемте_

21 A nd He kept repeating, Do you not yet understand?

И каза им: Не разбирате ли още?

22 A nd they came to Bethsaida. And brought to Him a blind man and begged Him to touch him.

Дохождат във Витсаида. И довеждат при Него един слепец и молят Му се да се докосне до него.

23 A nd He caught the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village; and when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands upon him, He asked him, Do you '> possibly] see anything?

И Той хвана слепеца за ръка, изведе го вън от селото, и, като плюна на очите му, положи на него ръце и го попита: Виждаш ли нещо?

24 A nd he looked up and said, I see people, but like trees, walking.

И той, като подигна очи, каза: Виждам човеците; защото виждам неща като дървета, които ходят.

25 T hen He put His hands on his eyes again; and the man looked intently, and he was restored and saw everything distinctly '> at a distance].

После пак положи ръце на очите му; и той втренчи очите си, оздравя, и виждаше всичко ясно.

26 A nd He sent him away to his house, telling, Do not enter the village or tell anyone there.

И изпрати го у дома му, и каза: Не влизай в селото,.

27 A nd Jesus went on with His disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He asked His disciples, Who do people say that I am?

И излезе Исус с учениците Си по селата на Кесария Филипова; и по пътя попита учениците Си, като им каза: Според както казват хората: Кой съм Аз?

28 A nd they answered, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.

А те в отговор Му казаха: Йоан Кръстител; други_

29 A nd He asked them, But who do you yourselves say that I am? Peter replied to Him, You are the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Тогава ги попита: Но според както вие казвате: Кой съм? Петър в отговор Му каза: Ти си Христос.

30 A nd He charged them sharply to tell no one about Him.

И заръча им никому да не казват за Него.

31 A nd He began to teach them that the Son of Man must of necessity suffer many things and be tested and disapproved and rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be put to death, and after three days rise again '> from death].

И почна да ги учи, как Човешкият Син трябва много да пострада, и да бъде отхвърлен от старейшините, главните свещеници, книжниците, и да бъде убит, и след три дни да възкръсне.

32 A nd He said this freely (frankly, plainly, and explicitly, making it unmistakable). And Peter took Him by the hand and led Him aside and then began to rebuke Him.

И явно говореше тая дума. А Петър го взе настрана и почна да Го мъмри.

33 B ut turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have a mind intent on promoting what God wills, but what pleases men.

А Той, като се обърна и погледна учениците Си, смъмра Петра, като каза: Махни се, Сатано, и иди зад Мене, защото не мислиш за Божиите неща, но за човешките неща.

34 A nd Jesus called the throng with His disciples and said to them, If anyone intends to come after Me, let him deny himself '> lose sight of himself and his own interests] and take up his cross, and '> joining Me as a disciple and siding with My party] follow with Me.

И повика народа заедно с учениците Си и рече им: Ако иска някой да дойде след Мене, нека се отрече от себе си, и така нека Ме следва.

35 F or whoever wants to save his '> higher, spiritual, eternal] life, will lose it '> lower, natural, temporal life which is lived only on earth]; and whoever gives up his life for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it '> higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God].

Защото който иска да спаси живота(Или душата; така и до края на главата.) си, ще го изгуби; а който изгуби живота си заради Мене и за благовестието, ще го спаси.

36 F or what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life '> in the eternal kingdom of God]?

Понеже какво се ползува човек като спечели целия свят, а изгуби живота си?

37 F or what can a man give as an exchange ( a compensation, a ransom, in return) for his life '> in the eternal kingdom of God]?

Защото какво би дал човек в замяна на живота си?

38 F or whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous (unfaithful) and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when He comes in the glory (splendor and majesty) of His Father with the holy angels.

Защото ако се срамува някой поради Мене и поради думите Ми в тоя блуден и грешен род, то и Човешкият Син ще се срамува от него, когато дойде в славата на Отца Си със святите ангели.
