1 F irst of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men,

Итак прежде всего прошу совершать молитвы, прошения, моления, благодарения за всех человеков,

2 F or kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

за царей и за всех начальствующих, дабы проводить нам жизнь тихую и безмятежную во всяком благочестии и чистоте,

3 F or such is good and right, and pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior,

ибо это хорошо и угодно Спасителю нашему Богу,

4 W ho wishes all men to be saved and to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the Truth.

Который хочет, чтобы все люди спаслись и достигли познания истины.

5 F or there one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Ибо един Бог, един и посредник между Богом и человеками, человек Христос Иисус,

6 W ho gave Himself as a ransom for all attested to at the right and proper time.

предавший Себя для искупления всех. в свое время свидетельство,

7 A nd of this matter I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (special messenger)—I am speaking the truth in Christ, I do not falsify —a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

для которого я поставлен проповедником и Апостолом, --истину говорю во Христе, не лгу, --учителем язычников в вере и истине.

8 I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt, lifting up holy hands.

Итак желаю, чтобы на всяком месте произносили молитвы мужи, воздевая чистые руки без гнева и сомнения;

9 A lso that women should adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with hair arrangement or gold or pearls or expensive clothing,

чтобы также и жены, в приличном одеянии, со стыдливостью и целомудрием, украшали себя не плетением, не золотом, не жемчугом, не многоценною одеждою,

10 B ut by doing good deeds (deeds in themselves good and for the good and advantage of those contacted by them), as befits women who profess reverential fear for and devotion to God.

но добрыми делами, как прилично женам, посвящающим себя благочестию.

11 L et a woman learn in quietness, in entire submissiveness.

Жена да учится в безмолвии, со всякою покорностью;

12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to remain in quietness and keep silence.

а учить жене не позволяю, ни властвовать над мужем, но быть в безмолвии.

13 F or Adam was first formed, then Eve;

Ибо прежде создан Адам, а потом Ева;

14 A nd it was not Adam who was deceived, but woman who was deceived and deluded and fell into transgression.

и не Адам прельщен; но жена, прельстившись, впала в преступление;

15 N evertheless they will be saved if they continue in faith and love and holiness with self-control, through the Childbearing or by the birth of the divine Child.

впрочем спасется через чадородие, если пребудет в вере и любви и в святости с целомудрием.
