1 I n many separate revelations '> each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to forefathers in and by the prophets,

Багато разів і багатьма способами в давнину промовляв був Бог до отців через пророків,

2 i n the last of these days He has spoken to us in Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time.

а в останні ці дні промовляв Він до нас через Сина, що Його настановив за Наслідника всього, що Ним і віки Він створив.

3 H e is the sole expression of the glory of God '> out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,

Він був сяєвом слави та образом істоти Його, тримав усе словом сили Своєї, учинив Собою очищення наших гріхів, і засів на правиці величности на висоті.

4 H e Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs.

Він остільки був ліпший понад Анголів, оскільки славніше за них успадкував Ім'я.

5 F or to which of the angels did ever say, You are My Son, today I have begotten You ? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He will be to Me a Son?

Кому бо коли з Анголів Він промовив: Ти Мій Син, Я сьогодні Тебе породив! І знову: Я буду Йому за Отця, а Він Мені буде за Сина!

6 M oreover, when He brings the firstborn Son again into the habitable world, He says, Let all the angels of God worship Him.

І коли знов Він уводить на світ Перворідного, то говорить: І нехай Йому вклоняться всі Анголи Божі.

7 R eferring to the angels He says, Who makes His angels winds and His ministering servants flames of fire;

А про Анголів Він говорить: Ти чиниш духів Анголами Своїми, а палючий огонь Своїми слугами.

8 B ut as to the Son, He says to Him, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever (to the ages of the ages), and the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of absolute righteousness (of justice and straightforwardness).

А про Сина: Престол Твій, о Боже, навік віку; берло Твого царювання берло праведности.

9 Y ou have loved righteousness and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, Your God ( Godhead), has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond Your companions.

Ти полюбив праведність, а беззаконня зненавидів; через це намастив Тебе, Боже, Твій Бог оливою радости більше, ніж друзів Твоїх.

10 A nd, You, Lord, did lay the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.

І: Ти, Господи, землю колись заклав, а небо то чин Твоїх рук.

11 T hey will perish, but You remain and continue permanently; they will all grow old and wear out like a garment.

Загинуть вони, а Ти будеш стояти, всі вони, як той одяг, постаріють.

12 L ike a mantle You will roll them up, and they will be changed and replaced by others. But You remain the same, and Your years will never end nor come to failure.

Як одежу, їх зміниш, і минуться вони, а Ти завжди Той Самий, і роки Твої не закінчаться!

13 B esides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand till I make your enemies a stool for your feet?

Кому з Анголів Він промовив коли: Сядь праворуч Мене, доки не покладу Я Твоїх ворогів підніжком ногам Твоїм!

14 A re not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service of those who are to inherit salvation?

Чи не всі вони духи служебні, що їх посилають на службу для тих, хто має спасіння вспадкувати?
