1 D umnezeu, da Dumnezeu, Domnul, El vorbeşte şi cheamă pământul de la răsăritul soarelui până la apusul lui!

The Powerful One, God, the Lord, has spoken. And He calls the earth from where the sun rises to where the sun goes down.

2 D in Sion, întruchiparea frumuseţii, străluceşte Dumnezeu!

God shines from Zion, perfect in beauty.

3 D umnezeul nostru vine şi nu tace; un foc mistuie înaintea Lui şi o furtună se dezlănţuie împrejurul Lui!

May our God come and not keep quiet. A fire burns before Him, and around Him is a powerful storm.

4 E l cheamă cerurile de deasupra şi pământul, ca să-Şi judece poporul:

He calls the heavens above, and the earth, that He may judge His people:

5 „ Adunaţi-Mi credincioşii, pe cei ce au încheiat legământ cu Mine prin jertfă!“

“Gather My holy ones to Me, those who have made an agreement with Me by their gifts given on an altar.”

6 C erurile mărturisesc dreptatea Lui, căci Dumnezeu este judecătorul. Sela

And the heavens will tell how right and good He is, for God Himself is judge.

7 „ Ia aminte, popor al Meu, şi voi vorbi! Israele, voi mărturisi împotriva ta: Sunt Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul tău Eu sunt!

“Listen, O My people, and I will speak. O Israel, I will speak against you. I am God, your God.

8 N u pentru jertfele tale te mustru Eu, nici pentru arderile de tot care-Mi sunt aduse neîncetat.

I do not speak sharp words to you for your gifts given on an altar. And your burnt gifts are always before Me.

9 N u voi lua viţei din ograda ta, nici ţapi din staulele tale,

I will not take a young bull out of your house, or male goats out of your fields.

10 c ăci ale Mele sunt toate vieţuitoarele pădurii şi vitele de pe o mie de dealuri.

For every animal among the trees is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.

11 E u cunosc toate înaripatele munţilor, şi toate făpturile câmpiei sunt ale Mele!

I know every bird of the mountains. And all things that move in the field are Mine.

12 D acă Mi-ar fi foame, nu ţi-aş spune ţie, căci a Mea este lumea cu tot ce cuprinde ea.

If I were hungry, I would not tell you. For the world is Mine, and all that is in it.

13 M ănânc Eu oare carnea taurilor sau beau Eu sângele ţapilor?

Should I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of male goats?

14 A du-I ca jertfă lui Dumnezeu mulţumire şi împlineşte-ţi jurămintele faţă de Cel Preaînalt!

Give a gift of thanks on the altar to God. And pay your promises to the Most High.

15 C heamă-Mă în ziua necazului; Eu te voi izbăvi, iar tu Mă vei proslăvi!“

Call on Me in the day of trouble. I will take you out of trouble, and you will honor Me.”

16 D umnezeu îi zice însă celui rău: „Ce tot înşiri tu orânduirile Mele şi ai pe buze legământul Meu,

But to the sinful, God says: “What right do you have to tell of My Laws, and take My agreement in your mouth?

17 c ând tu urăşti mustrarea şi arunci cuvintele Mele înapoia ta?

For you hate to be told what to do, and you throw My words behind you.

18 D acă vezi un hoţ, te uneşti cu el şi te însoţeşti cu cei ce comit adulter.

When you see a robber, you are pleased with him. And you join those who do sex sins.

19 D ai drumul gurii la rele, limba ta urzeşte înşelăciunea.

You say bad things with your mouth, and you lie with your tongue.

20 V orbeşti împotriva fratelui tău cu care locuieşti şi pe fiul mamei tale arunci vina.

You sit and speak against your brother. You talk against your own mother’s son.

21 A şa ai făcut, iar Eu am tăcut. Ţi-ai închipuit că sigur Eu sunt ca tine, dar te voi mustra şi îţi voi pune totul în faţă!

You have done these things, and I have kept quiet. You thought that I was just like you. But I will speak sharp words to you, and tell you who is guilty to your face.

22 L uaţi aminte la aceste lucruri, voi care Îl uitaţi pe Dumnezeu, ca nu cumva să vă sfâşii şi să nu aibă cine să vă scape!

“Now think about this, you who forget God, or I will tear you in pieces and there will be no one to save you.

23 C ine aduce mulţumire ca jertfă, acela Mă proslăveşte şi celui ce veghează asupra căii lui îi voi arăta mântuirea lui Dumnezeu “.

He who gives a gift of thanks honors Me. And to him who makes his way right, I will show him the saving power of God.”
