1 Î n vremea aceea, într-o zi de Sabat, Isus trecea printre lanurile de grâu. Ucenicii Lui erau flămânzi, aşa că au început să smulgă spice de grâu şi să mănânce.

At that time Jesus walked through the grain-fields on the Day of Rest. His followers were hungry and began to pick off grain to eat.

2 C ând au văzut fariseii lucrul acesta, I-au zis lui Isus: – Uite, ucenicii Tăi fac ce nu este voie să se facă în ziua de Sabat!

The proud religious law-keepers saw this. They said to Jesus, “See! Your followers do what the Law says not to do on the Day of Rest.”

3 E l le-a răspuns: – N-aţi citit ce a făcut David atunci când i s-a făcut foame atât lui, cât şi celor ce erau cu el?

He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he and his men were hungry?

4 C um a intrat în Casa lui Dumnezeu şi a mâncat pâinile prezentării, pe care nici el şi nici cei ce erau cu el nu aveau voie să le mănânce, ci doar preoţii.

He went into the house of God and ate the special bread used in worship which was against the Law for him or those with him to eat! Only the Jewish religious leaders were to eat that special bread.

5 S au n-aţi citit în Lege că în ziua de Sabat preoţii încalcă Sabatul în Templu şi totuşi sunt nevinovaţi?

Have you not read in the Law how the religious leaders do that which is not right to do on the Day of Rest, and yet they are not guilty?

6 D ar Eu vă spun că aici este Cineva mai mare decât Templul!

I tell you that Someone greater than the house of God is here.

7 D acă aţi fi ştiut ce înseamnă: „Milă doresc, nu jertfă!“, n-aţi fi condamnat nişte nevinovaţi!

If you had understood what the words mean, ‘I want loving-kindness and not a gift to be given,’ you would not say a person is guilty who has done no wrong.

8 C ăci Fiul Omului este Domn şi al Sabatului!

For the Son of Man is Lord of the Day of Rest.” Jesus Heals on the Day of Rest

9 I sus a plecat de acolo şi a intrat în sinagoga lor.

From there Jesus went into their place of worship.

10 Ş i iată că în sinagogă era un om care avea o mână uscată. Ei, ca să-L poată acuza, L-au întrebat: – Este voie a vindeca în ziua de Sabat?

A man was there with a dried-up hand. The proud religious law-keepers asked Jesus, “Does the Law say it is right to heal on the Day of Rest?” They wanted something to say against Him.

11 I sus le-a răspuns: – Cine este omul acela dintre voi care, dacă are o oaie şi-i cade într-o groapă în ziua de Sabat, să n-o apuce şi să n-o scoată afară?

He said to them, “If one of you has a sheep which falls into a hole on the Day of Rest, will you not take hold of it and pull it out?

12 C u cât mai important deci este un om decât o oaie! Aşadar, este voie a face bine în ziua de Sabat!

How much better is a man than a sheep! So it is right to do good on the Day of Rest.”

13 A poi i-a zis acelui om: – Întinde-ţi mâna! El a întins-o, şi ea a fost vindecată, la fel de sănătoasă ca şi cealaltă.

Then He said to the man, “Put out your hand.” He held it out and it was made as well as the other.

14 A tunci fariseii au ieşit afară şi au ţinut sfat împotriva lui Isus, ca să-L omoare. Isus, Robul Domnului

The proud religious law-keepers went out and made plans against Him. They planned how they might kill Him. Jesus Heals Many People

15 Î nsă Isus a înţeles aceasta şi a plecat de acolo. După El au mers mulţimi mari de oameni. El i-a vindecat pe toţi

Jesus knew this and went away from there. Many people followed Him and He healed all of them.

16 ş i i-a atenţionat să nu-L facă cunoscut,

He told them to tell no one of Him.

17 c a să se împlinească astfel ceea ce a fost spus prin profetul Isaia, care zice:

It happened as the early preacher Isaiah said it would happen, saying,

18 „ Iată-L pe Slujitorul Meu, pe Care L-am ales, Preaiubitul Meu, în Care sufletul Meu Își găsește plăcerea! Voi pune Duhul Meu peste El, iar El le va vesti neamurilor dreptatea.

“See! My Servant Whom I have chosen! My much Loved, in Whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit in Him. He will say to the nations what is right from wrong.

19 N u se va certa, nu va striga şi nimeni nu-I va auzi glasul pe drumuri.

He will not fight or speak with a loud voice. No man will hear His voice in the streets.

20 N u va rupe trestia zdrobită şi nu va stinge mucul care încă mai fumegă, până când nu va face să triumfe dreptatea!

He will not break a broken branch. He will not put out a little fire until He makes things right.

21 Ş i în Numele Lui vor nădăjdui neamurile!“

In His name the nations will have hope.” A Nation That Cannot Stand

22 A poi a fost adus la El un demoniac orb şi mut. Isus l-a vindecat, aşa că omul a putut vorbi şi vedea.

Then they brought to Him a man who had a demon. He was blind and could not speak. Jesus healed him and he could talk and see.

23 T oate mulţimile erau uimite şi ziceau: „Nu cumva este Acesta Fiul lui David?“

All the people were surprised and said, “Can this Man be the Son of David?”

24 Î nsă când fariseii au auzit acest lucru, au zis: „Omul Acesta nu scoate demonii decât cu ajutorul lui Beelzebul, conducătorul demonilor!“

But when the proud religious law-keepers heard it, they said, “This Man puts out demons only by Satan, the leader of demons.”

25 D ar Isus le cunoştea gândurile, aşa că le-a zis: „Orice împărăţie dezbinată împotriva ei înseşi este ruinată şi orice cetate sau casă dezbinată împotriva ei înseşi nu va dăinui.

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every nation divided into groups that fight each other is going to be destroyed. Every city or family divided into groups that fight each other will not stand.

26 D acă Satan îl scoate afară pe Satan, înseamnă că el este dezbinat împotriva lui însuşi, deci cum va dăinui împărăţia lui?!

If the devil puts out the devil, he is divided against himself. How will his nation stand?

27 Ş i dacă Eu scot demonii cu ajutorul lui Beelzebul, fiii voştri cu ajutorul cui îi scot? De aceea ei vor fi judecătorii voştri!

If I put out demons by Satan, by whom do your followers put them out? So your followers will say if you are guilty.

28 D ar dacă Eu scot demonii cu ajutorul Duhului lui Dumnezeu, atunci Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu a venit peste voi!

But if I put out demons by the Spirit of God, then the holy nation of God is come to you.

29 S au cum poate cineva să intre în casa celui puternic şi să-i ia lucrurile dacă nu l-a legat mai întâi? Abia atunci îi poate jefui casa.

How can anyone go into a strong man’s house and take away his things, unless he ties up the strong man first? Only then can he take things from his house. The Sin That Cannot Be Forgiven

30 C ine nu este cu Mine este împotriva Mea, iar cine nu adună cu Mine risipeşte.

“Whoever is not with Me is against Me. Whoever is not gathering with Me is sending everywhere.

31 D e aceea vă spun că orice păcat şi blasfemie vor fi iertate oamenilor, dar blasfemia împotriva Duhului Sfânt nu le va fi iertată.

I tell you, every sin and every bad word men speak against God will be forgiven, but bad words spoken against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 D acă cineva va spune vreun cuvânt împotriva Fiului Omului, va fi iertat. Însă oricine va vorbi împotriva Duhului Sfânt nu va fi iertat nici în veacul aceasta, nici în cel care vine.

Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this life or in the life to come. The Sin of Saying Bad Things

33 O ri faceţi pomul bun şi roadele lui bune, ori faceţi pomul stricat şi roadele lui stricate. Căci pomul este recunoscut după roadele sale.

“A good tree gives good fruit. A bad tree gives bad fruit. A tree is known by its fruit.

34 P ui de vipere, cum aţi putea voi să spuneţi lucruri bune, când voi sunteţi răi?! Căci din belşugul inimii vorbeşte gura!

You family of snakes! How can you say good things when you are sinful? The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

35 O mul bun scoate lucruri bune din vistieria bună a inimii lui, dar omul rău scoate lucruri rele din vistieria rea a inimii lui.

A good man will speak good things because of the good in him. A bad man will speak bad things because of the sin in him.

36 V ă spun că, în Ziua Judecăţii, oamenii vor da socoteală pentru orice cuvânt nefolositor, pe care l-au rostit.

I say to you, on the day men stand before God, they will have to give an answer for every word they have spoken that was not important.

37 C ăci din cuvintele tale vei fi achitat şi din cuvintele tale vei fi condamnat. Semnul profetului Iona

For it is by your words that you will not be guilty and it is by your words that you will be guilty.” Jesus Tells about Jonah

38 A tunci unii dintre cărturari şi dintre farisei I-au zis: – Învăţătorule, vrem să vedem un semn de la Tine!

Then some of the teachers of the Law and the proud religious law-keepers said to Jesus, “Teacher, we would like to have you do something special for us to see.”

39 Î nsă Isus le-a răspuns: – O generaţie rea şi adulteră caută un semn, dar nu i se va da un alt semn decât semnul profetului Iona.

He said to them, “The sinful people of this day look for something special to see. There will be nothing special to see but the powerful works of the early preacher Jonah.

40 C ăci aşa cum Iona a stat în pântecele peştelui uriaş timp de trei zile şi trei nopţi, tot aşa va sta şi Fiul Omului, timp de trei zile şi trei nopţi, în inima pământului.

Jonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of a big fish. The Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the grave also.

41 B ărbaţii din Ninive se vor scula la judecată alături de această generaţie şi o vor condamna, pentru că ei s-au pocăit la predica lui Iona, iar aici iată că se află Unul mai mare decât Iona!

The men of the city of Nineveh will stand up with the people of this day on the day men stand before God. Those men will say these people are guilty because the men of Nineveh were sorry for their sins and turned from them when Jonah preached. And see, Someone greater than Jonah is here!

42 Î mpărăteasa din sud se va scula la judecată alături de generaţia aceasta şi o va condamna, pentru că ea a venit de la marginile pământului, ca să asculte înţelepciunea lui Solomon, iar aici iată că se află Unul mai mare decât Solomon!

“The queen of the south will stand up with the people of this day on the day men stand before God. She will say that these people are guilty because she came from the ends of the earth to listen to the wise sayings of Solomon. And see, Someone greater than Solomon is here! A Person Filled with Bad or Good

43 C ând duhul necurat iese afară dintr-un om, el umblă prin locuri pustii, căutând odihnă, dar n- o găseşte.

“When a demon is gone out of a man, it goes through dry places to find rest. It finds none.

44 A tunci îşi spune: „Mă voi întoarce în casa mea, de unde am ieşit!“ Şi când vine, o găseşte goală, măturată şi împodobită.

Then it says, ‘I will go back into my house from which I came.’ When it goes back, it sees that it is empty. But it sees that the house has been cleaned and looks good.

45 A tunci se duce şi mai ia cu el alte şapte duhuri, mai rele decât el, şi intră şi locuiesc acolo, iar starea din urmă a acelui om ajunge mai rea decât cea dintâi. Tot aşa se va întâmpla şi cu această generaţie rea. Mama şi fraţii lui Isus

Then it goes out and comes back bringing with it seven demons more sinful than itself. They go in and live there. In the end that man is worse than at first. It will be like this with the sinful people of this day.” The New Kind of Family

46 Î n timp ce vorbea El mulţimilor, iată că mama şi fraţii Lui stăteau afară şi încercau să vorbească cu El.

While Jesus was still talking to the people, His mother and His brothers came and stood outside. They wanted to talk to Him.

47 ( Atunci cineva I-a zis: – Iată că mama şi fraţii Tăi stau afară şi încearcă să vorbească cu Tine.)

Someone said to Him, “Your mother and brothers are outside and want to talk to you.”

48 D ar Isus i-a răspuns celui ce-I spusese lucrul acesta: – Cine este mama Mea şi cine sunt fraţii Mei?

Jesus said, “Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?”

49 A poi Şi-a întins mâna spre ucenicii Lui şi a zis: – Iată mama Mea şi fraţii Mei!

He put out His hand to His followers and said, “See, these are My mother and My brothers!

50 C ăci oricine face voia Tatălui Meu, Care este în ceruri, acela Îmi este frate, soră şi mamă.

Whoever does what My father in heaven wants him to do is My brother and My sister and My mother.”
