1 E u sunt adevărata viţă, iar Tatăl Meu este vierul.

“I am the true Vine. My Father is the One Who cares for the Vine.

2 E l taie din Mine orice mlădiţă care nu aduce rod şi curăţă orice mlădiţă care aduce rod, ca să aducă şi mai mult rod.

He takes away any branch in Me that does not give fruit. Any branch that gives fruit, He cuts it back so it will give more fruit.

3 A cum, voi sunteţi curaţi, din pricina cuvântului pe care vi l-am spus.

You are made clean by the words I have spoken to you.

4 R ămâneţi în Mine şi Eu voi rămâne în voi! Aşa cum mlădiţa nu poate aduce rod de la sine, dacă nu rămâne în viţă, tot aşa nici voi nu puteţi, dacă nu rămâneţi în Mine.

Get your life from Me and I will live in you. No branch can give fruit by itself. It has to get life from the vine. You are able to give fruit only when you have life from Me.

5 E u sunt viţa, iar voi sunteţi mlădiţele. Cel care rămâne în Mine şi în care rămân Eu aduce mult rod, pentru că despărţiţi de Mine nu puteţi face nimic.

I am the Vine and you are the branches. Get your life from Me. Then I will live in you and you will give much fruit. You can do nothing without Me.

6 D acă cineva nu rămâne în Mine, este aruncat afară, ca o mlădiţă, şi se usucă; acestea sunt adunate, aruncate în foc şi arse.

“If anyone does not get his life from Me, he is cut off like a branch and dries up. Such branches are gathered and thrown into the fire and they are burned.

7 D acă rămâneţi în Mine şi dacă rămân în voi cuvintele Mele, atunci cereţi orice doriţi şi vi se va da.

If you get your life from Me and My Words live in you, ask whatever you want. It will be done for you.

8 T atăl Meu este proslăvit prin aceasta: prin faptul că voi aduceţi mult rod şi deveniţi ucenicii Mei.

“When you give much fruit, My Father is honored. This shows you are My followers.

9 A şa cum M-a iubit pe Mine Tatăl, aşa v-am iubit şi Eu pe voi. Rămâneţi în dragostea Mea!

I have loved you just as My Father has loved Me. Stay in My love.

10 D acă păziţi poruncile Mele, veţi rămâne în dragostea Mea, aşa cum şi Eu am păzit poruncile Tatălui Meu şi rămân în dragostea Lui.

If you obey My teaching, you will live in My love. In this way, I have obeyed My Father’s teaching and live in His love.

11 V -am spus aceste lucruri pentru ca bucuria Mea să fie în voi, iar bucuria voastră să fie deplină.

12 A ceasta este porunca Mea: să vă iubiţi unii pe alţii aşa cum v-am iubit Eu!

“This is what I tell you to do: Love each other just as I have loved you.

13 N imeni nu are o dragoste mai mare decât aceasta, şi anume să-şi dea viaţa pentru prietenii lui.

No one can have greater love than to give his life for his friends.

14 V oi sunteţi prietenii Mei, dacă faceţi ce vă poruncesc Eu.

You are My friends if you do what I tell you.

15 N u vă mai numesc sclavi, pentru că sclavul nu ştie ce face stăpânul lui, ci v-am numit prieteni, pentru că v-am făcut cunoscut tot ceea ce am auzit de la Tatăl Meu.

I do not call you servants that I own anymore. A servant does not know what his owner is doing. I call you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from My Father.

16 N u voi M-aţi ales pe Mine, ci Eu v-am ales pe voi şi v-am pus să mergeţi şi să aduceţi rod, iar rodul vostru să rămână, pentru ca orice-I veţi cere Tatălui în Numele Meu să vă dea.

You have not chosen Me, I have chosen you. I have set you apart for the work of bringing in fruit. Your fruit should last. And whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you. The Christian and the World

17 V ă poruncesc aceste lucruri ca să vă iubiţi unii pe alţii! Ucenicii şi ura din partea lumii

“This is what I tell you to do: Love each other.

18 D acă lumea vă urăşte, ştiţi că pe Mine M-a urât înaintea voastră!

If the world hates you, you know it hated Me before it hated you.

19 D acă aţi fi din lume, lumea ar iubi ce este al ei. Dar lumea vă urăşte pentru că voi nu sunteţi din lume, ci Eu v-am ales din lume.

If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. You do not belong to the world. I have chosen you out of the world and the world hates you.

20 A duceţi-vă aminte de vorba pe care v-am spus-o: „Un sclav nu este mai mare decât stăpânul lui.“ Dacă pe Mine M-au persecutat, vă vor persecuta şi pe voi! Dacă au păzit cuvântul Meu, îl vor păzi şi pe al vostru!

Remember I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his owner.’ If they made it very hard for Me, they will make it very hard for you also. If they obeyed My teachings, they will obey your teachings also.

21 D ar vă vor face toate aceste lucruri din pricina Numelui Meu, pentru că ei nu-L cunosc pe Cel Ce M-a trimis.

They will do all these things to you because you belong to Me. They do not know My Father Who sent Me.

22 D acă n-aş fi venit şi nu le-aş fi vorbit, n-ar avea păcat, dar acum n-au nici o scuză pentru păcatul lor.

“I have come and have spoken to them so they are guilty of sin. But now they have no reason to give for keeping their sin any longer.

23 C ine Mă urăşte pe Mine Îl urăşte şi pe Tatăl Meu.

Whoever hates Me, hates My Father also.

24 D acă n-aş fi făcut între ei lucrări pe care nimeni altul nu le-a făcut, n-ar avea păcat. Dar acum au văzut şi M-au urât şi pe Mine, şi pe Tatăl Meu.

I have done things among them which no one else has done so they are guilty of sin. But now they have seen these things and have hated Me and My Father.

25 Î nsă aceasta s-a întâmplat ca să se împlinească cuvântul care este scris în Legea lor: „M-au urât fără motiv.“

This happened as their Law said it would happen, ‘They hated Me without a reason.’

26 C ând va veni Apărătorul pe Care vi-L voi trimite de la Tatăl, adică Duhul adevărului, Care iese de la Tatăl, El va depune mărturie despre Mine.

“The Helper (Holy Spirit) will tell about Me when He comes. I will send Him to you from the Father. He is the Spirit of Truth and comes from the Father.

27 D e asemenea, şi voi veţi depune mărturie, pentru că aţi fost cu Mine de la început.

You will also tell of Me because you have been with Me from the beginning.
