1 Î n trecut, Dumnezeu le-a vorbit strămoşilor noştri prin profeţi de multe ori şi în multe feluri,

Long ago God spoke to our early fathers in many different ways. He spoke through the early preachers.

2 î nsă în aceste zile de pe urmă El ne-a vorbit prin Fiul, pe Care L-a pus moştenitor al tuturor lucrurilor şi prin Care a făcut veacurile.

But in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son. God gave His Son everything. It was by His Son that God made the world.

3 E l, Care este oglindirea Slavei şi reprezentarea exactă a naturii Lui şi Care susţine toate lucrurile prin Cuvântul puterii Lui, a realizat curăţirea de păcate şi S-a aşezat la dreapta Măreţiei, în înălţimi,

The Son shines with the shining-greatness of the Father. The Son is as God is in every way. It is the Son Who holds up the whole world by the power of His Word. The Son gave His own life so we could be clean from all sin. After He had done that, He sat down on the right side of God in heaven. The Son Was Greater Than the Angels

4 d evenind cu atât mai superior decât îngerii, cu cât Numele pe care l-a moştenit este mai minunat decât al lor.

The Son of God was made greater and better than the angels. God gave Him a greater name than theirs.

5 C ăci căruia dintre îngeri i-a zis vreodată: „Tu eşti Fiul Meu! Astăzi Te-am născut!“ ? Şi, din nou: „Eu voi fi Tatăl Lui, iar El va fi Fiul Meu.“

God did not say to any of His angels, “You are My Son. Today I have become Your Father.” And He did not say to any angel, “I will be a Father to Him. He will be a Son to Me.”

6 Ş i, din nou, când Îl aduce în lume pe întâiul născut, spune: „Toţi îngerii lui Dumnezeu să I se închine!“

But when God brought His first-born Son, Jesus, into the world, He said, “Let all the angels of God worship Him.”

7 I ar despre îngeri spune: „Din vânturi El Îşi face îngeri şi din flăcări de foc – slujitori.“

He said this about the angels, “He makes His angels to be winds. He makes His servants a burning fire.”

8 Î nsă despre Fiul zice: „Tronul Tău, Dumnezeule, este pentru veci de veci, iar sceptrul Împărăţiei Tale este un sceptru al dreptăţii!

But about His Son, He says, “O God, Your throne will last forever. Whatever You say in Your nation is right and good.

9 T u ai iubit dreptatea şi ai urât răutatea; de aceea, Dumnezeule, Dumnezeul Tău Te-a uns cu untdelemn de bucurie, mai presus decât pe tovarăşii Tăi.“

You have loved what is right. You have hated what is wrong. That is why God, Your God, has chosen You. He has poured over You the oil of joy more than over anyone else.”

10 Ş i: „Tu, Doamne, ai întemeiat la început pământul, iar cerurile sunt lucrarea mâinilor Tale.

He said also, “Lord, You made the earth in the beginning. You made the heavens with Your hands.

11 E le vor pieri, dar Tu rămâi. Toate se vor învechi ca o haină.

They will be destroyed but You will always be here. They will all become old just as clothes become old.

12 L e vei înfăşura ca pe un veşmânt şi vor fi schimbate ca pe o haină. Tu însă rămâi Acelaşi şi anii Tăi nu se vor sfârşi.“

You will roll up the heavens like a coat. They will be changed. But You are always the same. You will never grow old.”

13 D ar căruia dintre îngeri i-a zis vreodată: „Şezi la dreapta Mea până voi face din duşmanii Tăi aşternut al picioarelor Tale!“ ?

God never said to any angel, “Sit at My right side, until I make those who hate You a place to rest Your feet.”

14 N u sunt ei toţi duhuri slujitoare, trimise să-i slujească pe cei ce urmează să moştenească mântuirea?

Are not all the angels spirits who work for God? They are sent out to help those who are to be saved from the punishment of sin.
