1 L ăudaţi-L pe Domnul! Cântaţi Domnului un cântec nou; cântaţi lauda Lui în adunarea credincioşilor!

Praise the Lord! Sing a new song to the Lord! Praise Him in the meeting of His people.

2 S ă se bucure Israel de Făcătorul lui şi să se înveselească fiii Sionului de Împăratul lor!

Let Israel be glad in his Maker. Let the sons of Zion be full of joy in their King.

3 S ă-I laude Numele prin dansuri şi să-I cânte cu tamburine şi cu lira!

Let them praise His name with dancing. Let them sing praises to Him with timbrels and a harp.

4 C ăci Domnul Îşi găseşte plăcerea în poporul Său; El îi încununează pe cei smeriţi cu izbăvire.

For the Lord is happy with His people. He saves those who have no pride and makes them beautiful.

5 S ă salte de veselie credincioşii îmbrăcaţi în slavă! Să strige de bucurie în aşternuturile lor!

Let those who are God-like be full of joy and honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 F ie ca proslăvirea lui Dumnezeu să fie în gura lor şi sabia cu două tăişuri în mâna lor,

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and in their hand a sword that cuts both ways.

7 c a să se răzbune pe neamuri, să pedepsească popoarele,

Let it be used to punish the nations and the people.

8 s ă le lege regii cu lanţuri şi nobilii cu obezi de fier,

Let their kings be tied in chains, and their rulers with ropes of iron.

9 ş i să împlinească astfel judecata scrisă. Aceasta este o cinste pentru toţi credincioşii Săi! Lăudaţi-L pe Domnul!

Let the punishment that is written be given to them. This is an honor for all His faithful ones. Praise the Lord!
