1 T he Lord says, “See, I will raise up the spirit of a destroyer against Babylon and against the people of Chaldea.

2 I will send strangers to destroy Babylon like a wind that blows straw away. For they will be against her on every side and leave her land empty in the day of her trouble.

J'envoie contre Babylone des vanneurs qui la vanneront, Qui videront son pays; Ils fondront de toutes parts sur elle, Au jour du malheur.

Qu'ils tombent blessés à mort dans le pays des Chaldéens, Percés de coups dans les rues de Babylone!

16 W hen He speaks, there is a storm of waters in the heavens. He makes the clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and brings the wind from His store-houses.
