1 “ It is bad for the shepherds who are destroying and dividing the sheep of My field!” says the Lord.

Malheur aux pasteurs qui détruisent et dispersent Le troupeau de mon pâturage! dit l'Éternel.

2 T he Lord God of Israel says this about the shepherds who are caring for My people, “You have made My flock go everywhere and have driven them away, and have not cared for them. See, I am about to punish you for your sinful things you have done,” says the Lord.

C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, Sur les pasteurs qui paissent mon peuple: Vous avez dispersé mes brebis, vous les avez chassées, Vous n'en avez pas pris soin; Voici, je vous châtierai à cause de la méchanceté de vos actions, Dit l'Éternel.

3 “ Then I Myself will gather those who are left of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them back to their field. And they will have many children.

Et je rassemblerai le reste de mes brebis De tous les pays où je les ai chassées; Je les ramènerai dans leur pâturage; Elles seront fécondes et multiplieront.

4 I will have shepherds over them who will care for them. And they will not be afraid any longer, or filled with fear, and none of them will be missing,” says the Lord.

J'établirai sur elles des pasteurs qui les paîtront; Elles n'auront plus de crainte, plus de terreur, Et il n'en manquera aucune, dit l'Éternel.

5 “ See, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when I will raise up for David a right and good Branch. He will rule as king and be wise and do what is right and fair and good in the land.

Voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où je susciterai à David un germe juste; Il régnera en roi et prospérera, Il pratiquera la justice et l'équité dans le pays.

6 I n His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will be safe. And this is the name He will be called by: ‘The Lord Who makes us right and good.’

En son temps, Juda sera sauvé, Israël aura la sécurité dans sa demeure; Et voici le nom dont on l'appellera: L'Éternel notre justice.

7 S o see, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when they will no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives, Who brought the sons of Israel up from the land of Egypt.’

C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où l'on ne dira plus: L'Éternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter du pays d'Égypte les enfants d'Israël!

8 B ut they will say, ‘As the Lord lives, Who brought up and led the children of the people of Israel back from the north country and from all the countries where He had driven them.’ Then they will live in their own land.” False Preachers and Empty Words

Mais on dira: L'Éternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter et qui a ramené La postérité de la maison d'Israël du pays du septentrion Et de tous les pays où je les avais chassés! Et ils habiteront dans leur pays.

9 A s for the men who speak for God, my heart is broken within me. All my bones shake. I have become like a drunk man, like a man who has had too much wine, because of the Lord and because of His holy words.

Sur les prophètes. Mon coeur est brisé au dedans de moi, Tous mes os tremblent; Je suis comme un homme ivre, Comme un homme pris de vin, A cause de l'Éternel et à cause de ses paroles saintes.

10 F or the land is full of people who are not faithful. Because of the bad things that have come upon it, the land is filled with sorrow, and the fields of the desert have dried up. Their way is sinful, and they use their power in a wrong way.

Car le pays est rempli d'adultères; Le pays est en deuil à cause de la malédiction; Les plaines du désert sont desséchées. Ils courent au mal, Ils n'ont de la force que pour l'iniquité.

11 “ For both the men of God and the religious leaders are sinful. I have found their sin even in My house,” says the Lord.

Prophètes et sacrificateurs sont corrompus; Même dans ma maison j'ai trouvé leur méchanceté, Dit l'Éternel.

12 “ So their way will be a danger to them. They will be driven away into the darkness and fall down in it. For I will bring much trouble upon them in the year of their punishment,” says the Lord.

C'est pourquoi leur chemin sera glissant et ténébreux, Ils seront poussés et ils tomberont; Car je ferai venir sur eux le malheur, L'année où je les châtierai, dit l'Éternel.

13 “ In Samaria I have seen a very bad thing among the men of Samaria who tell what is going to happen in the future. They speak for the false god Baal, and have led My people into sin.

Dans les prophètes de Samarie j'ai vu de l'extravagance; Ils ont prophétisé par Baal, Ils ont égaré mon peuple d'Israël.

14 I n Jerusalem I have seen a very sinful thing among the men of Jerusalem who tell what is going to happen in the future. They do sex sins and tell lies, and give help to those who do sinful things, so that no one turns from his sin. All of them have become like Sodom to Me. The people of Jerusalem have become like Gomorrah.”

Mais dans les prophètes de Jérusalem j'ai vu des choses horribles; Ils sont adultères, ils marchent dans le mensonge; Ils fortifient les mains des méchants, Afin qu'aucun ne revienne de sa méchanceté; Ils sont tous à mes yeux comme Sodome, Et les habitants de Jérusalem comme Gomorrhe.

15 S o the Lord of All says about the men who tell what is going to happen in the future, “See, I will make them eat bitter food and drink water with poison. For from these men of Jerusalem sin has gone out into all the land.”

C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées sur les prophètes: Voici, je vais les nourrir d'absinthe, Et je leur ferai boire des eaux empoisonnées; Car c'est par les prophètes de Jérusalem Que l'impiété s'est répandue dans tout le pays.

16 T he Lord of All says, “Do not listen to the words of those who are telling you what will happen in the future. They are filling you with empty hopes. They tell of dreams from their own thoughts, not from the mouth of the Lord.

Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: N'écoutez pas les paroles des prophètes qui vous prophétisent! Ils vous entraînent à des choses de néant; Ils disent les visions de leur coeur, Et non ce qui vient de la bouche de l'Éternel.

17 T hey keep saying to those who hate Me, ‘The Lord has said, “You will have peace.”’ To every one who walks in the strong-will of his own heart, they say, ‘Trouble will not come to you.’

Ils disent à ceux qui me méprisent: L'Éternel a dit: Vous aurez la paix; Et ils disent à tous ceux qui suivent les penchants de leur coeur: Il ne vous arrivera aucun mal.

18 B ut who among them has listened to the Lord, that he should see and hear His Word? Who has given thought to His Word and listened?

Qui donc a assisté au conseil de l'Éternel Pour voir, pour écouter sa parole? Qui a prêté l'oreille à sa parole, qui l'a entendue?

19 S ee, the strong wind storm of the Lord has gone out in anger. It will come down upon the head of the sinful.

Voici, la tempête de l'Éternel, la fureur éclate, L'orage se précipite, Il fond sur la tête des méchants.

20 T he anger of the Lord will not turn back until He has done all that He has planned in His heart. In the last days you will understand.

La colère de l'Éternel ne se calmera pas, Jusqu'à ce qu'il ait accompli, exécuté les desseins de son coeur. Vous le comprendrez dans la suite des temps.

21 I did not send these men who say they speak for God, yet they ran to tell their news. I did not speak to them, yet they spoke in My name.

Je n'ai point envoyé ces prophètes, et ils ont couru; Je ne leur ai point parlé, et ils ont prophétisé.

22 B ut if they had listened to Me, then they would have made My words known to My people. And they would have turned them back from their sinful way and from the sinful things they did.”

S'ils avaient assisté à mon conseil, Ils auraient dû faire entendre mes paroles à mon peuple, Et les faire revenir de leur mauvaise voie, De la méchanceté de leurs actions.

23 “ Am I a God Who is near,” says the Lord, “and not a God Who is far away?

Ne suis-je un Dieu que de près, dit l'Éternel, Et ne suis-je pas aussi un Dieu de loin?

24 C an a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him?” says the Lord. “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.

Quelqu'un se tiendra-t-il dans un lieu caché, Sans que je le voie? dit l'Éternel. Ne remplis-je pas, moi, les cieux et la terre? dit l'Éternel.

25 “ I have heard what the men say who speak false words in My name. They say, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream!’

J'ai entendu ce que disent les prophètes Qui prophétisent en mon nom le mensonge, disant: J'ai eu un songe! j'ai eu un songe!

26 H ow long will there be lies in the hearts of those who speak false words in My name, who speak the lies of their own heart?

Jusques à quand ces prophètes veulent-ils prophétiser le mensonge, Prophétiser la tromperie de leur coeur?

27 T hey plan to make My people forget My name by their dreams which they tell one another, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal.

Ils pensent faire oublier mon nom à mon peuple Par les songes que chacun d'eux raconte à son prochain, Comme leurs pères ont oublié mon nom pour Baal.

28 T he one who has a dream may tell about his dream, but let him who has My Word speak My Word in truth. How can straw be compared with grain?” says the Lord.

Que le prophète qui a eu un songe raconte ce songe, Et que celui qui a entendu ma parole rapporte fidèlement ma parole. Pourquoi mêler la paille au froment? dit l'Éternel.

29 “ Is not My Word like fire,” says the Lord, “and like iron that breaks a rock in pieces?

Ma parole n'est-elle pas comme un feu, dit l'Éternel, Et comme un marteau qui brise le roc?

30 S o I am against those who tell what is going to happen in the future,” says the Lord, “who steal My words from each other.

C'est pourquoi voici, dit l'Éternel, j'en veux aux prophètes Qui se dérobent mes paroles l'un à l'autre.

31 S ee, I am against these men,” says the Lord, “who use their tongues and say, ‘This is what the Lord says.’

Voici, dit l'Éternel, j'en veux aux prophètes Qui prennent leur propre parole et la donnent pour ma parole.

32 I am against those who have told false dreams,” says the Lord, “and have led My people the wrong way by their lies and foolish words of pride. I did not send them or tell them what to say, so they do not help these people at all,” says the Lord.

Voici, dit l'Éternel, j'en veux à ceux qui prophétisent des songes faux, Qui les racontent, et qui égarent mon peuple Par leurs mensonges et par leur témérité; Je ne les ai point envoyés, je ne leur ai point donné d'ordre, Et ils ne sont d'aucune utilité à ce peuple, dit l'Éternel.

33 “ When these people, or the one who speaks in My name, or a religious leader asks you, ‘What heavy load has the Lord placed on us?’ then you say to them, ‘You are the heavy load. And I will throw you off, says the Lord.’

Si ce peuple, ou un prophète, ou un sacrificateur te demande: Quelle est la menace de l'Éternel? Tu leur diras quelle est cette menace: Je vous rejetterai, dit l'Éternel.

34 A s for the man who speaks in My name, or the religious leader, or anyone of the people, who say, ‘The heavy load of the Lord,’ I will punish that man and those of his house.

Et le prophète, le sacrificateur, ou celui du peuple Qui dira: Menace de l'Éternel, Je le châtierai, lui et sa maison.

35 E ach of you say to his neighbor and to his brother, ‘What has the Lord answered?’ or, ‘What has the Lord said?’

Vous direz, chacun à son prochain, chacun à son frère: Qu'a répondu l'Éternel? Qu'a dit l'Éternel?

36 B ut you must not say, ‘The heavy load of the Lord,’ any more. For every man’s own word will be the weight upon himself. And you have made sinful the words of the living God, the Lord of All, our God.

Mais vous ne direz plus: Menace de l'Éternel! Car la parole de chacun sera pour lui une menace; Vous tordez les paroles du Dieu vivant, De l'Éternel des armées, notre Dieu.

37 T his is what you should say to the man who speaks in My name: ‘What answer has the Lord given you?’ and, ‘What has the Lord said?’

Tu diras au prophète: Que t'a répondu l'Éternel? Qu'a dit l'Éternel?

38 B ut if you say, ‘The heavy load of the Lord,’ then the Lord says, ‘You have said, “The heavy load of the Lord,” when I told you not to say it.’

Et si vous dites encore: Menace de l'Éternel! Alors ainsi parle l'Éternel: Parce que vous dites ce mot: Menace de l'Éternel! Quoique j'aie envoyé vers vous pour dire: Vous ne direz pas: Menace de l'Éternel!

39 S o I will pick you up and throw you away from Me, together with the city which I gave to you and your fathers.

A cause de cela voici, je vous oublierai, Et je vous rejetterai, vous et la ville Que j'avais donnée à vous et à vos pères, Je vous rejetterai loin de ma face;

40 I will put you to shame forever. You will always be ashamed, and it will not be forgotten.”

Je mettrai sur vous un opprobre éternel Et une honte éternelle, Qui ne s'oublieront pas.
