1 W hen the noise had come to an end, Paul called the followers to him. He spoke words of comfort and then said good-bye. He left to go to the country of Macedonia.

След утихването на мълвата Павел повика учениците и, като ги увеща, прости се с тях и тръгна да отиде в Македония.

2 A s he went through those parts of the country, he spoke words of comfort and help to the Christians. Then he went on to the country of Greece.

И като мина през ония места та увеща учениците с много думи, дойде в Гърция.

3 H e stayed there three months. As he was about to get on a ship for the country of Syria, he learned that the Jews had made a plan to take him. He changed his plans and went back through Macedonia.

И като преседя там три месеца, понеже юдеите направиха заговор против него във времето на тръгването му за Сирия, той реши да се върне през Македония,

4 S ome men were going along with him. They were Sopater of the city of Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus of the city of Thessalonica, Gaius of the city of Derbe, and Timothy and Tychicus and Trophimus of the countries of Asia.

И придружиха го до Азия Берянина Сосипатър Пиров, и от Солунците Аристарх и Секунд; още и Гаий от Дервия и Тимотей, а от Азия Тихик и Трофим.

5 T hey went on to the city of Troas and waited there for us.

А тия бяха отишли по-напред, та ни чакаха в Троада;

6 A fter the supper of bread without yeast we got on a ship in the city of Philippi. We met these men at Troas. It took five days to get there and we stayed one week. Eutychus Falls from a Building While Paul Preaches

и ние отплувахме от Филипи подир дните на безквасните хлябове, и за пет дена дойдохме при тях в Троада, дето преседяхме седем дена.

7 O n the first day of the week we met together to eat the Lord’s supper. Paul talked to them. He thought he would leave the next day, so he kept on talking until twelve o’clock at night.

И в първия ден на седмицата, когато бяхме събрани за разчупването на хляба, Павел беседваше с тях понеже щеше да отпътува на сутринта; и продължи словото си до среднощ.

8 T here were many lights in the room on the third floor where we had our meeting.

И имаше много светила в горната стая, дето бяхме събрани.

9 A young man named Eutychus sat in the window. As Paul kept on preaching, this man started to go to sleep. At last he went to sleep. He fell from the third floor to the ground and was picked up dead.

И едно момче, на име Ефтих, което седеше на прозореца, беше заспало дълбоко, и когато Павел беседваше още по-надълго, бидейки обладано от сън, падна долу от третия етаж; и дигнаха го мъртво.

10 P aul went down and stood over him. Then he took him in his arms and said, “Do not be worried. He is alive!”

Но Павел слезе и, като падна на него, прегърна го, и рече: Не се безпокойте, защото животът му е в него.

11 P aul went up again to the meeting and ate with them. He talked with them until the sun came up. Then he left.

След това той се качи горе, разчупи хляба та похапна, и приказва пак надълго до зори, и така тръгна.

12 T hey were happy they could take the young man home alive.

А момчето доведоха живо, и не малко се утешиха.

13 W e went on ahead by ship to the city of Assos. There we were to pick up Paul. He had planned it that way. He wanted to walk by land that far.

А ние тръгнахме по-напред за кораба и отплувахме за Асон, дето щяхме да приберем Павла; понеже така беше поръчал, като щеше да отиде пеш.

14 W e got to Assos and met him there. We picked him up and went on to the city of Mitylene.

И когато се събра с нас в Асон, прибрахме го и дойдохме в Митилин.

15 T he next day we went by ship to a place beside the island of Chios. The next day we crossed over to the island of Samos. Then the next day we came to the city of Miletus.

И оттам като отплувахме, на утрешния ден дойдохме срещу Хиос, а на другия стигнахме в Самос; и на следващия ден дойдохме в Милит.

16 P aul planned to pass by the city of Ephesus so he would not lose more time in Asia. He wanted to be in Jerusalem if he could be on the day to remember how the Holy Spirit came on the church. Paul Meets with the Leaders of the Church of Ephesus

Защото Павел бе решил да отмине Ефес, за да не се бави в Азия, понеже бързаше, ако му беше възможно, да се намери в Ерусалим за деня на Петдесятницата.

17 F rom Miletus he sent word to Ephesus. He asked the leaders of the church to come to him.

А от Милит прати в Ефес да повикат църковните презвитери.

18 W hen they got there, he said to them, “From the first day that I came to Asia you have seen what my life has been like.

И като дойдоха при него, рече им: Вие знаете по какъв начин, още от първия ден когато стъпих в Азия, прекарах всичкото време между вас

19 I worked for the Lord without pride. Because of the trouble the Jews gave me, I have had many tears.

в служене на Господа с пълно смиреномъдрие, със сълзи, и с напасти, които ме сполетяха от заговорите на юдеите;

20 I always told you everything that would be a help to you. I taught you in open meetings and from house to house.

как не се посвених да ви изява всичко що е било полезно, и да ви поучавам и публично и къщите,

21 I preached to the Jews and to the Greeks. I told them to turn from their sin to God and to put their trust in our Lord Jesus Christ.

като проповядвах и на юдеи и на гърци покаяние спрямо Бога и вяра спрямо нашия Господ Исус Христос.

22 “ As you see, I am on my way to Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit makes me go. I do not know what will happen to me there.

И сега, ето, аз заставен духом, отивам в Ерусалим, без да зная какво ще ме сполети там,

23 B ut in every city I have been, the Holy Spirit tells me that trouble and chains will be waiting for me there.

освен че Светият Дух ми свидетелствува във всеки град, казвайки, че вързвания и скърби ме очакват.

24 B ut I am not worried about this. I do not think of my life as worth much, but I do want to finish the work the Lord Jesus gave me to do. My work is to preach the Good News of God’s loving-favor.

Но не се скъпя за живота си, като че ми се свиди за него, в сравнение с това, да изкарам пътя си и служенето, което приех от Господа Исуса, да проповядвам благовестието на Божията благодат.

25 “ All of you have heard me preach the Good News. I am sure that none of you will ever see my face again.

И сега, ето, аз зная, че ни един от вас, между които минах та проповядвах Божието царство, няма вече да види лицето ми.

26 I tell you this day that I am clean and free from the blood of all men.

Затова, свидетелствувам ви в тоя ден, че аз съм чист от кръвта на всички;

27 I told you all the truth about God.

защото не се посвених да ви изява всичката Божия воля.

28 K eep a careful watch over yourselves and over the church. The Holy Spirit has made you its leaders. Feed and care for the church of God. He bought it with His own blood.

Внимавайте на себе си и на цялото стадо, в което Светият Дух ви е поставил епископи, да пасете църквата на Бога, която той придоби със собствената си кръв.

29 “ Yes, I know that when I am gone, hungry wolves will come in among you. They will try to destroy the church.

Аз зная, че подир моето заминаване ще навлязат между вас свирепи вълци, които няма да жалят стадото;

30 A lso men from your own group will begin to teach things that are not true. They will get men to follow them.

и от самите вас ще се издигнат човеци, които ще говорят извратено, та ще отвличат учениците след себе си.

31 I say again, keep watching! Remember that for three years I taught everyone of you night and day, even with tears.

Затова, бдете, и помнете, че за три години, дене и нощем, не престанах да поучавам със сълзи всеки един от вас.

32 “ And now, my brothers, I give you over to God and to the word of His love. It is able to make you strong and to give you what you are to have, along with all those who are set apart for God.

И сега препоръчвам ви на Бога и на словото на неговата благодат, което може да ви назидава и да ви даде наследството между всичките осветени.

33 I have not tried to get anyone’s money or clothes.

Никому среброто или златото или облеклото не съм пожелал.

34 Y ou all know that these hands worked for what I needed and for what those with me needed.

Вие сами знаете, че тия мои ръце послужиха за моите нужди и за нуждите на ония, които бяха с мене.

35 I n every way I showed you that by working hard like this we can help those who are weak. We must remember what the Lord Jesus said, ‘We are more happy when we give than when we receive.’ ”

Във всичко ви показах, че така трудещи се трябва да помагате на немощните, и да помните думите на Господа Исуса, как той е казал, По-блажено е да дава човек отколкото да приема.

36 A s he finished talking, he got down on his knees and prayed with them all.

Като изговори това, коленичи и се помоли с всички тях.

37 T hey cried and put their arms around Paul and kissed him.

И всички плакаха много; и паднаха на шията на Павла и го целуваха.

38 W hat made them sad most of all was he said that they would never see his face again. Then they went with him to the ship.

наскърбени най-много за думата, която каза, че няма вече да видят лицето му. И го изпратиха до кораба.
