1 J esus did not stay in the country of Judea because the Jews were trying to kill Him. After this He went from place to place in the country of Galilee.

După aceea, Isus a călătorit prin Galileea. Nu voia să călătorească prin Iudeea, pentru că iudeii căutau să-L omoare.

2 A religious gathering of the Jews was near. This gathering was called the Supper of Tents.

Sărbătoarea iudeilor, cea a Corturilor, era aproape.

3 T he brothers of Jesus said to Him, “Leave here and go to the country of Judea. Let Your followers there see the things You do.

Prin urmare, fraţii Lui I-au zis: – Pleacă de aici şi du-te în Iudeea, ca să vadă şi ucenicii Tăi lucrările pe care le faci!

4 I f a person wants others to know what he is doing, he does things to be seen. Since You are doing such things, show Yourself to the world.”

Căci nimeni nu face ceva pe ascuns când caută să devină cunoscut! Dacă faci aceste lucruri, arată-Te lumii!

5 N ot even His brothers were putting their trust in Him.

Căci nici chiar fraţii Lui nu credeau în El.

6 J esus said to them, “My time has not yet come. But any time is good for you.

Isus le-a răspuns: – Timpul Meu n-a sosit încă, dar vouă timpul vă este totdeauna favorabil!

7 T he world cannot hate you but it hates Me. I speak against the world because of its sinful works.

Pe voi lumea nu vă poate urî, dar pe Mine Mă urăşte, pentru că Eu depun mărturie despre ea că lucrările ei sunt rele.

8 Y ou go to the religious gathering. I am not going yet. My time has not yet come.”

Duceţi-vă voi la sărbătoare; Eu (încă) nu Mă duc la sărbătoarea aceasta, pentru că timpul Meu încă n-a sosit pe deplin.

9 J esus told His brothers this and then stayed in Galilee.

Şi, spunând aceste lucruri, a rămas în Galileea.

10 H is brothers went to the religious gathering. He went later by Himself so He would not be seen there.

Însă după ce fraţii Lui au plecat la sărbătoare, S-a dus şi El, dar nu pe faţă, ci cam pe ascuns.

11 A t the religious gathering the Jews were looking for Jesus. They were saying, “Where is He?”

La sărbătoare, iudeii Îl căutau şi se întrebau: „Unde este Acela?“

12 T here was much talk among the people about Him. Some said, “He is a good Man.” Others said, “No, He leads the people in the wrong way.”

Erau multe şoapte în mulţime cu privire la El. Unii ziceau: „Este un om bun!“ Alţii ziceau: „Nu, ci duce în rătăcire mulţimea!“

13 N o one spoke about Him in front of other people. They were afraid of the Jews. Jesus Tells Where His Teaching Is From

Totuşi, de frica iudeilor, nimeni nu vorbea deschis despre El. Isus la Sărbătoarea Corturilor

14 T he religious gathering was half over when Jesus went to the house of God and taught.

Când sărbătoarea era deja la jumătate, Isus S-a dus în Templu şi a început să dea învăţătură.

15 T he Jews were surprised and wondered, saying, “How can this Man know so much when He has never been to school?”

Iudeii se mirau şi se întrebau: „Cum de ştie Acesta atâta învăţătură fără să fi învăţat?!“

16 J esus said to them, “What I teach is not Mine. It is from God Who sent Me.

Isus le-a zis: – Învăţătura Mea nu este a Mea, ci a Celui Ce M-a trimis.

17 I f anyone will do what God wants, he will know if My teaching is from God, or if I am speaking of Myself.

Dacă vrea cineva să facă voia Lui, va cunoaşte dacă învăţătura este de la Dumnezeu sau dacă Eu vorbesc de la Mine.

18 T he man who speaks of himself is looking for greatness for himself. But He Who is looking for the greatness of the One Who sent Him is true. There is nothing false in Him.

Cel ce vorbeşte de la el caută slava lui însuşi; dar cel ce caută slava celui ce l-a trimis, acela este adevărat şi în el nu este falsitate.

19 D id not Moses give you the Law? And yet not one of you keeps the Law. Why do you try to kill me?”

Oare nu v-a dat Moise Legea? Şi totuşi nici unul dintre voi nu respectă Legea! De ce căutaţi să Mă omorâţi?

20 T he people said, “You have a demon in You. Who is trying to kill You?”

Mulţimea I-a răspuns: – Ai demon! Cine caută să Te omoare?!

21 J esus said to them, “I did one work and you are surprised.

Isus le-a zis: – Am făcut o lucrare şi toţi vă miraţi.

22 M oses gave you the religious act of becoming a Jew. (Yet it was not from Moses but from the early fathers.) You do this religious act on a man on the Day of Rest.

Moise v-a dat circumcizia – nu că ea este de la Moise, ci de la patriarhi – şi voi îl circumcideţi pe om în ziua de Sabat.

23 N ow if you can do that, why are you angry with Me for healing a man on the Day of Rest?

Dacă un om este circumcis în ziua de Sabat, ca să nu fie încălcată Legea lui Moise, atunci de ce sunteţi furioşi pe Mine pentru că am însănătoşit un om întreg în ziua de Sabat?

24 D o not say a person is guilty by what you see. Be sure you know when you say what is right or wrong.”

Nu judecaţi după aparenţe, ci judecaţi cu o judecată dreaptă! Oamenii se întreabă dacă Isus este Cristosul

25 S ome of the people of Jerusalem said, “Is not this the Man the Jews want to kill?

Atunci unii dintre locuitorii Ierusalimului au zis: „Nu este Acesta Cel pe Care caută ei să-L omoare?

26 B ut see! This Man is speaking out in the open. They are saying nothing to Him. Do the leaders know this is the true Christ?

Şi iată că vorbeşte deschis, iar ei nu-I zic nimic! Nu cumva conducătorii au ajuns să cunoască într-adevăr că El este Cristosul?

27 W e know where this Man came from. When the Christ comes, no one will know where He comes from.”

Totuşi noi ştim de unde este Omul Acesta; însă când va veni Cristosul nimeni nu va şti de unde este!“

28 T hen Jesus spoke with a loud voice as He taught in the house of God. He said, “You know Me. You know where I came from. I have not come on My own. The One Who sent Me is true but you do not know Him.

Atunci Isus, în timp ce dădea învăţătură în Templu, a strigat: „Mă cunoaşteţi şi ştiţi de unde sunt! N-am venit de la Mine Însumi, ci Cel Ce M-a trimis este adevărat, iar voi nu-L cunoaşteţi!

29 I know Him because I am from Him and He sent Me.”

Eu Îl cunosc, pentru că Eu sunt de la El şi El M-a trimis.“

30 T hen they wanted to take Jesus but no one put his hands on Him. His time had not yet come.

Ei încercau să-L prindă, dar nimeni n-a pus mâna pe El, căci încă nu-I venise ceasul.

31 M any of the people believed in Him. They said, “When Christ comes, will He do more powerful works than this Man?”

Însă mulţi din mulţime au crezut în El şi ziceau: „Când va veni Cristosul, va face El mai multe semne decât a făcut Acesta?“

32 T he proud religious law-keepers heard the people talking about Jesus. The religious leaders of the Jews and the proud religious law-keepers sent soldiers to take Him.

Fariseii au auzit mulţimea murmurând aceste lucruri despre El şi, ca urmare, conducătorii preoţilor şi fariseii au trimis nişte gărzi să-L aresteze.

33 J esus said to them, “I will be with you a little while yet. Then I will go back to Him Who sent Me.

Atunci, Isus a zis: „Mai sunt cu voi încă puţin timp, iar apoi plec la Cel Ce M-a trimis.

34 Y ou will look for Me but you will not find Me. Where I go, you cannot come.”

Mă veţi căuta, dar nu Mă veţi găsi, iar unde voi fi Eu, voi nu puteţi veni.“

35 T he Jews said to themselves, “Where can He go that we will not find Him? Will He go to our people who live among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

Iudeii se întrebau: „Unde urmează să se ducă Acesta, astfel încât noi să nu-L găsim?! Doar nu urmează să se ducă la cei împrăştiaţi printre greci şi să-i înveţe pe greci?!

36 W hat does He mean when He says, ‘You will look for Me but you will not find Me, and where I go, you cannot come’ ?” Jesus Promises to Give the Holy Spirit

Ce înseamnă cuvintele acestea pe care le-a zis: «Mă veţi căuta, dar nu Mă veţi găsi, iar unde voi fi Eu, voi nu veţi putea veni.»?“ Isus, Apa vieţii

37 I t was the last and great day of the religious gathering. Jesus stood up and spoke with a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

În ultima zi a sărbătorii, ziua cea mare, Isus S-a ridicat şi a strigat: „Dacă însetează cineva, să vină la Mine şi să bea!

38 T he Holy Writings say that rivers of living water will flow from the heart of the one who puts his trust in Me.”

Cel ce crede în Mine, din inima lui vor curge râuri de apă vie, aşa cum zice Scriptura!“

39 J esus said this about the Holy Spirit Who would come to those who put their trust in Him. The Holy Spirit had not yet been given. Jesus had not yet been raised to the place of honor. The People Cannot Make Up Their Minds Who He Is

Spunea aceasta despre Duhul pe Care urmau să-L primească cei ce cred în El. Căci Duhul nu fusese încă dat, pentru că Isus nu fusese încă proslăvit.

40 W hen many of the people heard His words, they said, “For sure, this is the One Who speaks for God.”

Când au auzit aceste cuvinte, unii din mulţime ziceau: „Acesta este într-adevăr Profetul!“

41 O thers said, “He is the Christ!” Some said, “The Christ would not come from the country of Galilee, would He?

Alţii ziceau: „Acesta este Cristosul!“, iar alţii ziceau: „Cum, din Galileea va veni Cristosul?!

42 D o not the Holy Writings say that the Christ will come from the family of David? Will He not come from the town of Bethlehem where David lived?”

Nu spune Scriptura că Cristosul va veni din sămânţa lui David şi din Betleem, satul de unde era David?“

43 T he people were divided in what they thought about Him.

Aşa că s-a făcut dezbinare în mulţime din cauza Lui.

44 S ome of them wanted to take Him. But no one put their hands on Him.

Unii dintre ei voiau să-L prindă, însă nimeni n-a pus mâinile pe El. Necredinţa conducătorilor religioşi

45 T he soldiers came back to the religious leaders of the Jews and to the proud religious law-keepers. They said to the soldiers, “Why did you not bring Him?”

Gărzile s-au întors la conducătorii preoţilor şi la farisei, iar aceştia le-au întrebat: – De ce nu L-aţi adus?

46 T he soldiers answered, “No man has ever spoken like this Man speaks.”

Gărzile au răspuns: – Niciodată n-a vorbit cineva astfel!

47 T he proud religious law-keepers said, “Have you been led the wrong way also?

Fariseii le-au zis: – Nu cumva aţi fost duşi şi voi în rătăcire?!

48 H as anyone of the leaders or anyone from our group believed in Him?

A crezut în El vreunul dintre conducători sau dintre farisei?!

49 A s for all these people, they do not know the Law. They are guilty and will be punished by God.”

Însă mulţimea aceasta care nu cunoaşte Legea este blestemată!

50 ( Nicodemus was one of the proud religious law-keepers. He had come to Jesus at another time.) Nicodemus said to them,

Nicodim, cel care venise la Isus mai înainte şi care era unul dintre ei, le-a zis:

51 “ Our Law does not say a man is guilty before he has been in court and before we know what he has done.”

– Oare condamnă Legea noastră un om înainte să-l asculte şi să ştie ce face?

52 T hey said to him, “Are you from Galilee also? Look into the Word of God yourself. You will see that no one who speaks for God comes from Galilee.”

Ei i-au răspuns: – Nu cumva eşti şi tu din Galileea? Cercetează şi vei vedea că din Galileea nu se ridică niciodată vreun profet! Femeia prinsă comiţând adulter

53 T hen everyone went home.
