1 G od takes His stand in the great meeting of His people. He judges among the rulers.

2 H ow long will you rulers be wrong in how you judge? How long will you show favor to the sinful?

3 D o the right thing for the weak and those without a father. Stand up for the rights of those who are suffering and in need.

Faceţi dreptate celui sărman şi orfanului, daţi dreptate celui nevoiaş şi lipsit!

4 S ave the weak and those in need. Set them free from the hand of the sinful.

Scăpaţi-l pe cel sărman şi pe cel amărât, izbăviţi-i din mâna celor răi!“

5 T hey know nothing; they understand nothing. They walk around in the dark. All that the earth is built upon is shaking.

Dar ei nici nu ştiu, nici nu pricep; umblă în întuneric; de aceea se clatină temeliile pământului.

6 I said, “You are gods. You are all sons of the Most High.

Eu am zis: „Sunteţi «dumnezei», fii ai Celui Preaînalt, cu toţii.

7 B ut you will die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”

Cu siguranţă, însă, veţi muri ca nişte oameni de rând şi veţi cădea ca orice alt conducător.“

8 R ise up, O God! Say who is guilty or not guilty upon the earth! For all the nations belong to You.

Ridică-Te, Dumnezeule, şi judecă pământul, căci Tu iei în stăpânire toate neamurile!
