1 T his is the Word of the Lord which came to Micah of Moresheth about Samaria and Jerusalem in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Israel Is Judged

Cuvântul Domnului, care a venit la Mica din Moreşet, pe vremea lui Iotam, a lui Ahaz şi a lui Ezechia, regii lui Iuda – ce a văzut el cu privire la Samaria şi la Ierusalim:

2 H ear, O people, all of you. Listen, O earth and all who are in it. The Lord God will speak against you from His holy house.

„Ascultaţi, toate popoarele! Să ia aminte pământul şi tot ce este pe el! Stăpânul Domn să fie martor împotriva voastră, Stăpânul – din templul Lui cel sfânt! Judecată împotriva Samariei şi a Ierusalimului

3 S ee, the Lord is coming from His place. He will come down and walk on the high places of the earth.

Iată, Domnul iese din Lăcaşul Lui; El coboară şi păşeşte pe înălţimile pământului!

4 T he mountains will melt under Him and the valleys will break open, like a candle in front of the fire, like water poured down a hill.

Munţii se topesc sub El şi văile se despică ca ceara înaintea focului şi ca apele care ţâşnesc printre versanţi.

5 A ll this is because Jacob would not obey and because of the sins of the people of Israel. What is Jacob’s sin? Is it not Samaria? What is the high place of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?

Toate acestea, din pricina nelegiuirii lui Iacov, din pricina păcatelor casei lui Israel! Care este nelegiuirea lui Iacov? Oare nu Samaria? Care sunt înălţimile Iudeii? Oare nu Ierusalimul?

6 S o I will make Samaria a waste in the open country, making it a place to plant grape-fields. I will pour her stones down into the valley, and lay open the base of the city.

De aceea voi preface Samaria într-un morman de ruine şi într-un loc de plantat vie. Îi voi prăvăli în vale pietrele şi-i voi dezveli temeliile.

7 A ll of her false gods will be broken to pieces. Everything given in the place of worship will be burned with fire. I will destroy all her objects of worship, for she gathered them from the pay of a woman who sells the use of her body. They will return to pay a woman who sells the use of her body. Toate chipurile ei cioplite vor fi sfărâmate, tot câştigul ei va fi ars în foc şi pe toţi idolii ei îi voi lăsa pradă pustiirii; pentru că a adunat toate acestea din câştigul de prostituată, în plată de prostituată se vor preface. Plânset şi tânguire

8 B ecause of this I must cry out in sorrow. I must go without shoes and clothing. I must cry out like the wild dogs, and cry in sorrow like the ostriches.

Din pricina aceasta voi plânge şi mă voi tângui, voi umbla desculţ şi gol, voi scoate strigăte precum şacalii şi voi jeli ca puii de struţ.

9 F or her hurt cannot be cured. It has come to Judah. It has come to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

Căci rana ei este de nevindecat; ea s-a întins până în Iuda, a ajuns până la poarta poporului meu, până la Ierusalim.

Nu daţi de ştire în Gat, nu plângeţi deloc! Tăvăliţi-vă în ţărână, la Bet-Leafra!

Treci, locuitoare a Şafirului, goală şi plină de ruşine! Locuitoarea Ţaananului nu îndrăzneşte să iasă! Bet-Eţelul este în jale; sprijinul lui a fost luat de la voi!

Locuitoarea Marotului tânjeşte după vremuri mai bune, căci s-a coborât nenorocirea din partea Domnului până la poarta Ierusalimului.

13 T ie the war-wagons to the horses, you people of Lachish. You were the beginning of sin to the people of Zion, for the sins of Israel were found in you.

Înhamă-ţi caii la carul de luptă, locuitoare a Lachişului! Tu ai fost cea dintâi pricină de păcătuire pentru fiica Sionului, căci în tine au fost găsite nelegiuirile lui Israel.

14 S o give gifts to Moresheth-gath. The people of Achzib will fool the kings of Israel.

De aceea vei da daruri de despărţire lui Moreşet-Gat! Casele din Aczib vor fi o amăgire pentru regii lui Israel!

15 I will bring one who will beat you in battle, O people of Mareshah. The shining-greatness of Israel will come to Adullam.

Voi aduce un stăpânitor împotriva ta, locuitor din Mareşa! Slava lui Israel va veni la Adulam.

16 C ut off all your hair in sorrow for the children you love. Let no hair be on your head like the eagle, for your children will be taken away from you.

Rade-te şi tunde-te din pricina fiilor tăi, care erau bucuria ta; lărgeşte-ţi pleşuvia precum vulturul, căci vor pleca de la tine în captivitate!“
