1 I n the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

В начале было Слово, и Слово было с Богом, и Слово было Богом.

2 H e was in the beginning with God.

Оно было в начале у Бога.

3 A ll things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Все, что существует, было сотворено через Него, и без Него ничто из того, что есть, не начало существовать.

4 I n Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

В Нем заключена жизнь, и эта жизнь – Свет человечеству.

5 A nd the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John’s Witness: The True Light

Свет светит во тьме, и тьма не поглотила Его.

6 T here was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Богом был послан человек по имени Иоанн.

7 T his man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

Он пришел как свидетель, свидетельствовать о Свете, чтобы благодаря ему все поверили в Этот Свет.

8 H e was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Сам он не был Светом, но пришел, чтобы свидетельствовать о Свете.

9 T hat was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Был истинный Свет, Который просвещает каждого человека, приходящего в мир.

10 H e was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

Он был в мире, который через Него был создан, но мир не узнал Его.

11 H e came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

Он пришел к Своим, но Свои не приняли Его.

12 B ut as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Но всем тем, кто Его принял и кто поверил в Его Имя, Он дал власть стать детьми Божьими –

13 w ho were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. The Word Becomes Flesh

детьми, рожденными не от крови, не от желаний или намерений человека, а рожденными от Бога.

14 A nd the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Слово стало Человеком и жило среди нас. Мы видели Его славу, славу, которой наделен единственный Сын Отца, полный благодати и истины.

15 J ohn bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”

Иоанн свидетельствовал о Нем, провозглашая: – Это Тот, о Ком я говорил: «Идущий за мной – выше меня, потому что Он существовал еще до меня».

16 A nd of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

По Его безграничной благодати мы все получили одно благословение за другим.

17 F or the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Ведь через Моисея был дан Закон, а благодать и истина пришли через Иисуса Христа.

18 N o one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. A Voice in the Wilderness

Бога никто никогда не видел, Его явил нам единственный Сын Его, Который в недре Отца и Который Сам – Бог. Иоанн Креститель объявляет о цели своего служения (Мат. 3: 1-12; Мк. 1: 2-8; Лк. 3: 1)

19 N ow this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

И вот свидетельство Иоанна. Когда предводители иудеев послали к Иоанну священников и левитов, чтобы спросить его, кто он такой,

20 H e confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”

он сказал им прямо, не скрывая: – Я не Христос.

21 A nd they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”

Они спросили его: – Тогда кто же ты? Илия? Он ответил: – Нет. – Так ты Пророк? – Нет, – отвечал Иоанн.

22 T hen they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?”

– Кто же ты? – спросили они тогда. – Скажи, чтобы мы смогли передать твой ответ тем, кто нас послал. Что ты сам скажешь о себе?

23 H e said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the L ord,”’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

Иоанн ответил им словами пророка Исаии: – «Я голос, который раздается в пустыне: выпрямите путь для Господа».

24 N ow those who were sent were from the Pharisees.

А посланные были фарисеями.

25 A nd they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

Они допытывались: – Если ты не Христос, не Илия и не Пророк, то почему ты крестишь?

26 J ohn answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.

Иоанн ответил: – Я крещу водой. Но среди вас стоит Тот, Кого вы не знаете.

27 I t is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

Он Тот, Кто придет после меня, и я даже не достоин развязать ремни Его сандалий.

28 T hese things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The Lamb of God

Это происходило в Вифании, на восточном берегу реки Иордана, там, где крестил Иоанн. Иоанн Креститель объявляет Иисуса Христом

29 T he next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

На следующий день Иоанн увидел идущего к нему Иисуса и сказал: – Вот Божий Ягненок, Который заберет грех мира!

30 T his is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’

Это о Нем я говорил: «Тот, Кто идет за мной, – выше меня, потому что Он существовал еще до меня».

31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

Я сам не знал, Кто Он, но я крещу водой для того, чтобы Он был явлен Израилю.

32 A nd John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

И Иоанн подтвердил свои слова: – Я видел, как Дух спускался на Него с небес в образе голубя и как Он остался на Нем.

33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

Я бы не узнал Его, если бы Пославший меня крестить водой не сказал мне: «На Кого опустится и на Ком останется Дух, Тот и будет крестить людей Святым Духом».

34 A nd I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.” The First Disciples

Я видел это и свидетельствую, что Он – Сын Бога! Первые ученики Иисуса (Мат. 4: 18-22; Мк. 1: 16-20; Лк. 5: 2-11)

35 A gain, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.

На следующий день Иоанн опять стоял с двумя своими учениками.

36 A nd looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

Увидев идущего Иисуса, он сказал: – Вот Ягненок Божий!

37 T he two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Оба ученика, услышав эти слова, последовали за Иисусом.

38 T hen Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”

Иисус обернулся и увидел, что они идут за Ним. – Что вы хотите? – спросил Он. – Рабби (что значит «учитель»), скажи, где Ты живешь? – спросили они.

39 H e said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).

– Идите за Мной, и вы сами увидите, – сказал Иисус. Было около десятого часа. Они пошли, увидели, где Он живет, и пробыли у Него до вечера того дня.

40 O ne of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Одним из двух, слышавших слова Иоанна об Иисусе и пошедших за Ним, был брат Симона Петра, Андрей.

41 H e first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

Он разыскал своего брата Симона и сказал: – Мы нашли Мессию! (Это значит «Помазанник».)

42 A nd he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone). Philip and Nathanael

И привел его к Иисусу. Иисус посмотрел на Симона и сказал: – Симон, сын Иоанна, тебя будут звать Кифа (что значит «камень», а по-гречески «Петр»). Иисус призывает Филиппа и Нафанаила

43 T he following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”

На следующий день Иисус решил идти в Галилею. Он нашел Филиппа и сказал ему: – Следуй за Мной!

44 N ow Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Филипп был из Вифсаиды, из того же города, что и Андрей с Петром.

45 P hilip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Он нашел Нафанаила и сказал ему: – Мы встретили Того, о Ком написано в Законе Моисея и о Ком писали пророки. Это Иисус, сын Иосифа из Назарета.

46 A nd Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Нафанаил ответил: – Разве из Назарета может быть что-нибудь доброе? – Пойди и посмотри, – сказал Филипп.

47 J esus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

Когда Иисус увидел идущего к Нему Нафанаила, Он сказал: – Вот истинный израильтянин, в котором нет ни тени притворства.

48 N athanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

– Откуда Ты меня знаешь? – удивился Нафанаил. Иисус ответил: – Еще до того, как Филипп позвал тебя, Я видел тебя под инжиром.

49 N athanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Тогда Нафанаил сказал: – Рабби, Ты действительно Сын Бога, Ты Царь Израиля!

50 J esus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

Иисус сказал: – Ты говоришь это потому, что Я сказал, что видел тебя под инжиром. Ты увидишь еще больше этого.

51 A nd He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

И добавил: – Говорю вам истину, вы увидите открытые небеса и ангелов Божьих, спускающихся и поднимающихся к Сыну Человеческому.
