1 I n the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

В началото бе Словото; и Словото беше у Бога; и Словото бе Бог.

2 H e was in the beginning with God.

То в начало беше у Бога.

3 A ll things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Всичко това чрез Него стана; и без Него не е ставало нищо <от това>, което е станало.

4 I n Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

В Него бе животът и животът бе светлина на човеците.

5 A nd the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John’s Witness: The True Light

И светлината свети в тъмнината; а тъмнината я не схвана.

6 T here was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Яви се човек изпратен от Бога, на име Иоан.

7 T his man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

Той дойде за свидетелство, да свидетелствува за светлината, за да повярват всички чрез него.

8 H e was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Не беше той светлината, но <дойде> да свидетелствува за светлината.

9 T hat was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Истинската светлина, която осветлява всеки човек, идеше на света.

10 H e was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

Той бе в света; и светът чрез Него стана; но светът Го не позна.

11 H e came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

У Своите Си дойде, но Своите Му Го не приеха.

12 B ut as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

А на ония, които Го приеха, даде право да станат Божии чада, <сиреч>, на тия, които вярват в Неговото име;

13 w ho were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. The Word Becomes Flesh

които се родиха не от кръв, нито от плътска похот, нито от мъжка похот, но от Бога.

14 A nd the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

И словото стана плът и пребиваваше между нас; и видяхме славата Му, слава като на Единородния от Отца, пълно с благодат и истина.

15 J ohn bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”

Иоан свидетелствува за Него, и викаше казвайки: Ето Онзи за Когото рекох, Който иде подир мене, достигна да бъде пред мене понеже спрямо мене беше пръв.

16 A nd of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Защото ние всички приехме от Неговата пълнота, и благодат върху благодат;

17 F or the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

понеже законът бе даден чрез Моисея, а благодатта и истината дойдоха чрез Исуса Христа.

18 N o one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. A Voice in the Wilderness

Никой, кога да е, не е видял Бога; Единородният Син, който е в лоното на Отца, Той Го изяви.

19 N ow this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

И ето, свидетелството, <което> Иоан <даде>, когато юдеите пратиха до него свещеници и левити от Ерусалим да го попитат: Ти кой си?

20 H e confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”

Той изповяда, и не отрече, а изповяда: Не съм аз Христос.

21 A nd they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”

И попитаха го: Тогава що? Илия ли си? И каза: Не съм. Пророк ли си? И отговори: Не съм.

22 T hen they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?”

На това му рекоха: Кой си? за да дадем отговор на ония, които са ни пратили. Що казваш за себе си?

23 H e said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the L ord,”’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

Той рече: Аз съм "глас на едного, който вика в пустинята; Прав правете пътя за Господа", както рече пророк Исаия.

24 N ow those who were sent were from the Pharisees.

А изпратените бяха от фарисеите.

25 A nd they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

И попитаха го, като му рекоха: А защо кръщаваш, ако не си Христос, нито Илия, нито пророкът?

26 J ohn answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.

В отговор Иоан им рече: Аз кръщавам с вода. Посред вас стои Един, Когото вие не познавате,

27 I t is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

Онзи, Който иде подир мене,, Комуто аз не съм достоен да развържа ремика на обущата Му.

28 T hese things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The Lamb of God

Това стана във Витавара отвъд Иордан, дето Иоан кръщаваше.

29 T he next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

На следния ден <Иоан> вижда Исуса, че иде към него, и казва: Ето Божият Агнец, Който носи греха на света!

30 T his is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’

Тоя е за Когото рекох: Подир мене иде човек, Който достигна да бъде пред мене, защото спрямо мене беше пръв.

31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

И аз Го не познавах; но дойдох и кръщавам с вода затова, за да бъде Той изявен на Израиля.

32 A nd John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

И Иоан свидетелствува, казвайки: Видях Духът да слиза като гълъб от небето и да почива върху Него.

33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

И аз Го не познах; но Оня, Който ме прати да кръщавам с вода Той ми рече: Онзи, над Когото видиш да слиза Духът и да почива върху Него, Той е Който кръщава със Светия Дух.

34 A nd I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.” The First Disciples

И видях и свидетелствувам, че Тоя е Божият Син.

35 A gain, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.

На следния ден Иоан пак стоеше с двама от учениците си.

36 A nd looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

И като съгледа Исуса когато минаваше каза: Ето Божият Агнец!

37 T he two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

И двамата ученика го чуха да говори <така>, и отидоха подир Исуса.

38 T hen Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”

И като се обърна Исус и видя, че идат подире Му, казва им: Що търсите? А те Му рекоха: Равви, (което значи, Учителю), где живееш?

39 H e said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).

Казва им: Дойдете и ще видите. Дойдоха, прочее, и видяха где живее, и останаха при Него тоя ден. Беше около десетият час.

40 O ne of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Единият от двамата, които чуха от Иоана за <Него> и Го последваха, беше Андрей, брат на Симона Петра.

41 H e first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

Той първо намира своя брат Симона и му казва: Намерихме Месия (което значи Христос).

42 A nd he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone). Philip and Nathanael

Като го заведе при Исуса, Исус се вгледа в него и рече: Ти си Симон, син Ионов; ти ще се наричаш Кифа, (което значи Петър {Значи: Канара.}).

43 T he following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”

На другия ден Исус възнамери да отиде в Галилея; и намира Филипа и му казва: Дойди след Мене.

44 N ow Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

А Филип беше от Витсаида, от града на Андрея и Петра.

45 P hilip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Филип намира Натанаила и му казва: Намерихме Онзи, за Когото писа Моисей в закона, и за< Когото писаха> пророците, Исуса, Иосифовия син, Който е от Назарет.

46 A nd Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Натанаил му рече: От Назарет може ли да произлезе нещо добро? Филип му каза: Дойди и виж.

47 J esus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

Исус видя Натанаила да дохожда към Него, и казва за него: Ето истински израилтянин, у когото няма лукавщина.

48 N athanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Натанаил му каза: Отгде ме познаваш? Исус в отговор му рече: Преди да те повика Филип, видях те като беше под смоковницата.

49 N athanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Натанаил му отговори: Учителю, Ти си Божи Син, Ти си Израилев цар.

50 J esus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

Исус в отговор му каза: Понеже ти рекох видях те под смоковницата, вярваш ли? Повече от това ще видиш.

51 A nd He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

И рече му: Истина, истина ви казвам, ще видите небето отворено, и Божиите ангели да възлизат и слизат над Човешкия Син.
