1 R eveste da tua justiça o rei, ó Deus, e o filho do rei, da tua retidão,

Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s son.

2 p ara que ele julgue com retidão e com justiça os teus que sofrem opressão.

May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice.

3 Q ue os montes tragam prosperidade ao povo, e as colinas, o fruto da justiça.

Let the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.

4 D efenda ele os oprimidos entre o povo e liberte os filhos dos pobres; esmague ele o opressor!

May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor.

5 Q ue ele perdure como o sol e como a lua, por todas as gerações.

Let them fear You while the sun endures, And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.

6 S eja ele como chuva sobre uma lavoura ceifada, como aguaceiros que regam a terra.

May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth.

7 F loresçam os justos nos dias do rei, e haja grande prosperidade enquanto durar a lua.

In his days may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace till the moon is no more.

8 G overne ele de mar a mar e desde o rio Eufrates até os confins da terra.

May he also rule from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth.

9 I nclinem-se diante dele as tribos do deserto, e os seus inimigos lambam o pó.

Let the nomads of the desert bow before him, And his enemies lick the dust.

10 Q ue os reis de Társis e das regiões litorâneas lhe tragam tributo; os reis de Sabá e de Sebá lhe ofereçam presentes.

Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts.

11 I nclinem-se diante dele todos os reis, e sirvam-no todas as nações.

And let all kings bow down before him, All nations serve him.

12 P ois ele liberta os pobres que pedem socorro, os oprimidos que não têm quem os ajude.

For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper.

13 E le se compadece dos fracos e dos pobres, e os salva da morte.

He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save.

14 E le os resgata da opressão e da violência, pois aos seus olhos a vida deles é preciosa.

He will rescue their life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be precious in his sight;

15 T enha o rei vida longa! Receba ele o ouro de Sabá. Que se ore por ele continuamente, e todo o dia se invoquem bênçãos sobre ele.

So may he live, and may the gold of Sheba be given to him; And let them pray for him continually; Let them bless him all day long.

16 H aja fartura de trigo por toda a terra, ondulando no alto dos montes. Floresçam os seus frutos como os do Líbano e cresçam as cidades como as plantas no campo.

May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth.

17 P ermaneça para sempre o seu nome e dure a sua fama enquanto o sol brilhar. Sejam abençoadas todas as nações por meio dele, e que elas o chamem bendito.

May his name endure forever; May his name increase as long as the sun shines; And let men bless themselves by him; Let all nations call him blessed.

18 B endito seja o Senhor Deus, o Deus de Israel, o único que realiza feitos maravilhosos.

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders.

19 B endito seja o seu glorioso nome para sempre; encha-se toda a terra da sua glória. Amém e amém.

And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen.
