1 A leluia! Cantem ao Senhor uma nova canção, louvem-no na assembléia dos fiéis.

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the congregation of the godly ones.

2 A legre-se Israel no seu Criador, exulte o povo de Sião no seu Rei!

Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King.

3 L ouvem eles o seu nome com danças; ofereçam-lhe música com tamborim e harpa.

Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.

4 O Senhor agrada-se do seu povo; ele coroa de vitória os oprimidos.

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.

5 R egozijem-se os seus fiéis nessa glória e em seus leitos cantem alegremente!

Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 A ltos louvores estejam em seus lábios e uma espada de dois gumes em suas mãos,

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 p ara imporem vingança às nações e trazerem castigo aos povos,

To execute vengeance on the nations And punishment on the peoples,

8 p ara prenderem os seus reis com grilhões e seus nobres com algemas de ferro,

To bind their kings with chains And their nobles with fetters of iron,

9 p ara executarem a sentença escrita contra eles. Esta é a glória de todos os seus fiéis. Aleluia!

To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the Lord!
