1 T his then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.

2 A nd their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:

Их южная граница начиналась от залива, что на южной оконечности Соленого моря,

3 A nd it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:

проходила южнее Скорпионовой возвышенности, продолжалась к Цину и поднималась к югу от Кадеш-Барнеа. Затем она шла мимо Хецрона к Аддару и поворачивала к Каркае.

4 F rom thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.

Затем она проходила Ацмон, выходила к египетскому потоку и оканчивалась у моря. Вот их южная граница.

5 A nd the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:

Восточная граница – это Соленое море до устья Иордана. Северная граница начиналась от залива в море при устье Иордана,

6 A nd the border went up to Bethhogla, and passed along by the north of Betharabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:

поднималась к Бет-Хогле и продолжалась севернее Бет-Аравы до камня Богана, сына Рувима.

7 A nd the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:

Затем граница поднималась к Давиру из долины Ахор и поворачивала на север к Гилгалу, что напротив возвышенности Адуммим к югу от потока. Она тянулась к водам Эн-Шемеша и заканчивалась у Эн-Рогела.

8 A nd the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

Затем она поднималась к долине Бен-Гинном по южному склону иевусейского города (то есть Иерусалима). Оттуда она восходила на вершину горы к западу от долины Гинном в северном конце долины Рефаим.

9 A nd the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:

С вершины горы граница тянулась к источнику вод Нефтоах, оттуда – к городам горы Эфрон, а затем поворачивала к Баале (то есть Кирьят-Иеариму).

10 A nd the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah:

Затем она поворачивала к западу от Баалы к горе Сеир, проходила по северному склону горы Иарим (то есть Кесалон), спускалась к Бет-Шемешу и проходила через Тимну.

11 A nd the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

Она шла к северному склону Экрона, поворачивала к Шикарону, проходила к горе Баала, достигала Иавнеила, и заканчивалась у моря.

12 A nd the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.

Западная граница – это побережье Великого моря. Таковы границы вокруг народа Иуды по его кланам.

13 A nd unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.

По повелению Господа, Иисус дал Халеву, сыну Иефоннии, земельный надел среди народа Иуды – Кирьят-Арбу, то есть Хеврон. (Арба был отцом Анака).

14 A nd Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

Из Хеврона Халев прогнал трех анакитов − Шешая, Ахимана и Талмая – потомков Анака.

15 A nd he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.

Оттуда он пошел на жителей Давира (который прежде назывался Кирьят-Сефер).

16 A nd Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

Халев сказал: – Я отдам свою дочь Ахсу в жены тому, кто нападет на Кирьят-Сефер и возьмет его.

17 A nd Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

Отниил, сын Кеназа, брата Халева, взял его, и Халев отдал ему в жены свою дочь Ахсу.

18 A nd it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?

Когда она пришла к Отниилу, она убедила его просить у ее отца поле. Когда она слезла со своего осла, Халев спросил ее: – Чего ты хочешь?

19 W ho answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.

Она ответила: – Окажи мне особую милость. Ты дал мне землю в Негеве – так дай мне и источники воды. И Халев дал ей верхние и нижние источники.

20 T his is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.

21 A nd the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

Города рода Иуды на самом юге, в Негеве по направлению к границе Эдома: Кавцеил, Едер, Иагур,

22 A nd Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,

23 A nd Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,

46 F rom Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:

к западу от Экрона – все, что рядом с Ашдодом вместе с их селами;

47 A shdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:

Ашдод с окрестными деревнями и селами; Газа с ее деревнями и поселениями до египетского потока и побережья Великого моря.

48 A nd in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,

В нагорьях: Шамир, Иаттир, Сохо,

49 A nd Dannah, and Kirjathsannah, which is Debir,

50 A nd Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,

60 K irjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:

Кирьят-Баал (то есть Кирьят-Иеарим) и Равва – два города с окрестными поселениями.

61 I n the wilderness, Betharabah, Middin, and Secacah,

В пустыне: Бет-Арава, Миддин, Секаха,

62 A nd Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.

Нившан, Ир-Мелах и Эн-Геди – шесть городов с окрестными поселениями.

63 A s for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.

Иуда не смог выселить иевусеев, которые жили в Иерусалиме; до сегодняшнего дня иевусеи живут там вместе с народом Иуды.
