1 Z edekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

Цедекии был двадцать один год, когда он стал царем, и правил он в Иерусалиме одиннадцать лет. Его мать звали Хамуталь, она была дочерью Иеремии из Ливны.

2 A nd he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

Цедекия делал зло в глазах Господа, во всем уподобляясь Иоакиму.

3 F or through the anger of the Lord it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Иерусалим и Иудея так разгневали Господа, что Он прогнал их от Себя. Падение Иерусалима (4 Цар. 24: 20 – 25: 21; 2 Пар. 36: 15-20; Иер. 39: 1-10) Цедекия восстал против царя Вавилона.

4 A nd it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.

И тогда на девятом году правления Цедекии, в десятый день десятого месяца, царь Вавилона, двинулся на Иерусалим со всем своим войском. Они разбили лагерь под городом и окружили его осадными сооружениями.

5 S o the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

Осада города продолжалась до одиннадцатого года правления царя Цедекии.

6 A nd in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

К девятому дню четвертого месяца голод в городе усилился, и у народа не осталось пищи.

7 T hen the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.

Тогда в городской стене была пробита брешь, и все войско бежало. Они покинули город ночью, хотя халдеи окружали город, пройдя через ворота между двумя стенами, что рядом с царским садом, и направились к иорданской долине.

8 B ut the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

Но халдейское войско пустилось в погоню за царем Цедекией и настигло его на равнинах у Иерихона. Все войско Цедекии рассеялось, бросив его одного,

9 T hen they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.

и он был схвачен. Его привели к царю Вавилона в Ривлу, что в земле Хамата, где царь вынес ему приговор.

10 A nd the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

В Ривле царь Вавилона заколол сыновей Цедекии у него на глазах и перебил всю знать Иудеи.

11 T hen he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

После этого он выколол Цедекии глаза, заковал в бронзовые кандалы и увел в Вавилон, где держал его в темнице до самого дня его смерти.

12 N ow in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

В десятый день пятого месяца, на девятнадцатом году правления Навуходоносора, царя Вавилона, начальник царской охраны Невузарадан, слуга царя Вавилона, прибыл в Иерусалим.

13 A nd burned the house of the Lord, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

Он сжег дом Господа, царский дворец и все дома Иерусалима. Он сжег все важные здания.

14 A nd all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.

А халдейское войско под командованием начальника царской охраны разрушило все стены, окружавшие Иерусалим.

15 T hen Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

Невузарадан, начальник охраны, увел в плен часть бедного люда и тех, кто оставался в городе, вместе с оставшейся частью ремесленников и перебежчиков, которые переметнулись к царю Вавилона.

16 B ut Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.

Но Невузарадан оставил некоторых из бедного люда той страны, чтобы они трудились на виноградниках и полях.

17 A lso the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

Халдеи разбили бронзовые колонны, передвижные подставки и бронзовое море, которые находились в доме Господа, и унесли всю бронзу в Вавилон.

18 T he caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

Еще они забрали горшки, лопатки, ножницы для фитилей, кропильные чаши, блюда и всю бронзовую утварь, которая использовалась во время храмового служения.

19 A nd the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.

Начальник царской охраны также забрал все, сделанное из чистого золота и серебра: кубки, сосуды для возжигания благовоний, кропильные чаши, горшки, подсвечники, блюда и чаши для жертвенных возлияний.

20 T he two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the Lord: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

Бронзы от двух колонн, от моря с двенадцатью быками под ним и от передвижных подставок, сделанных царем Соломоном для дома Господа, оказалось больше, чем можно было взвесить.

21 A nd concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.

Каждая колонна была восемнадцати локтей в высоту и двенадцати локтей в обхвате; стенки каждой были в четыре пальца толщиной, а внутри они были полыми.

22 A nd a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.

Бронзовая капитель колонны имела пять локтей в высоту и была украшена по кругу бронзовой сеткой и плодами гранатового дерева из бронзы. Такой же была и другая колонна с ее гранатовыми яблоками.

23 A nd there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.

По сторонам было девяносто шесть гранатовых яблок; всего гранатовых яблок, окружавших сетку, было сто.

24 A nd the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

Начальник царской охраны взял в плен первосвященника Сераю, второго после него священника Софонию и трех привратников.

25 H e took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

Из тех, кто еще оставался в городе, он взял одного сановника, который распоряжался воинами, и семерых царских советников. Еще он взял писаря, главного в войске, который записывал в войско народ страны и шестьдесят человек из его людей, которых нашли в городе.

26 S o Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

Невузарадан, начальник царской охраны, взял их всех и отвел к царю Вавилона в Ривлу.

27 A nd the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

В Ривле, что в земле Хамата, царь велел их казнить. Так увели народ Иудеи в плен из своей земли.

28 T his is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:

Вот количество людей, угнанных Навуходоносором в плен: в седьмом году его власти – 3 023 иудея;

29 I n the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:

в восемнадцатом году правления Навуходоносора – 832 человека были уведены из Иерусалима;

30 I n the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

в двадцать третьем году его правления – Невузарадан, начальник царской охраны, угнал в плен 745 иудеев. Всего – 4 600 человек. Освобождение Иехонии (4 Цар. 25: 27-30)

31 A nd it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison.

В тридцать седьмом году пленения Иехонии, царя Иудеи, в том году, когда Эвил-Меродах стал царем Вавилона, он освободил Иехонию, царя Иудеи, из темницы на двадцать пятый день двенадцатого месяца.

32 A nd spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

Он говорил с ним дружелюбно и превознес его выше всех царей, бывших с ним в Вавилоне.

33 A nd changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.

Иехония сменил свои тюремные одежды и остаток своих дней всегда ел за царским столом.

34 A nd for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

Изо дня в день вавилонский царь выдавал ему постоянное содержание всю жизнь, до самого дня его смерти.
