1 H ow amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

2 M y soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Истомилась моя душа, желая быть во дворах храма Господа, сердце мое и плоть поют Богу живому.

3 Y ea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

Даже воробей находит себе дом и ласточка – гнездо, чтобы вывести своих птенцов, у Твоего жертвенника, Господи, Бог Сил, Царь мой и Бог мой.

4 B lessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

Благословенны живущие в доме Твоем, они непрестанно будут восхвалять Тебя. Пауза

5 B lessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

Благословен человек, сила которого в Тебе, в чьем сердце есть желание отправиться в Иерусалим.

6 W ho passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

Проходя долиною Плача, они открывают в ней источники, и дождь покрывает ее водоемами.

7 T hey go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

Они крепнут все больше и больше, предстают перед Богом на Сионе.

8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

О Господь, Бог Сил, услышь мою молитву; внемли мне, Бог Иакова. Пауза

9 B ehold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

Взгляни, Боже, на царя, на щит наш; посмотри с благоволением на лицо Своего помазанника!

10 F or a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Один день во дворах Твоих лучше тысячи вне его стен. Лучше быть у порога дома Божьего, чем жить в шатрах у нечестивых.

11 F or the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Потому что Господь Бог – солнце и щит, и награда Господа – благодать и слава. Тех, кто ходит непорочно, Он не лишает благ.

12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Господь Сил, блажен человек, уповающий на Тебя.
