1 T he word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Вот что видел Исаия, сын Амоца, об Иудее и Иерусалиме:

2 A nd it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord 's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

В последние дни гора дома Господа будет поставлена высочайшею среди гор; вознесется она над холмами, и устремятся к ней все народы.

3 A nd many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Многие народы пойдут и скажут: «Идем, поднимемся на Господню гору, к дому Бога Иакова. Он научит нас Своим путям, и будем ходить по Его тропам». Ведь из Сиона выйдет Закон, и слово Господне – из Иерусалима.

4 A nd he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Он рассудит меж племенами, разрешит тяжбы многих народов. Перекуют они мечи на плуги и копья – на серпы. Не поднимет народ на народ меча, и не будут больше учиться войне.

5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.

Приди, о дом Иакова, будем ходить в свете Господнем! День Господа

6 T herefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Ты отверг Свой народ, дом Иакова, ведь у них полно суеверий с Востока; они гадают, как филистимляне, и общаются с чужаками.

7 T heir land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

Их земля полна серебра и золота, нет числа их сокровищам. Их земля полна коней; нет числа колесницам их.

8 T heir land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

Их земля полна идолов; они кланяются делам своих рук, тому, что сделали их пальцы.

9 A nd the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

Унижены будут люди, смирится всякий – Ты не прощай их.

10 E nter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.

Иди в скалы, спрячься в прахе от страха Господа и от славы Его величия!

11 T he lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Глаза надменного потупятся, и гордыня людская будет унижена; один лишь Господь будет возвеличен в тот день.

12 F or the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Грядет день Господа Сил на все гордое и высокомерное, на все превознесенное – быть ему униженным! –

13 A nd upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

На все ливанские кедры, высокие и превозносящиеся, и все башанские дубы,

14 A nd upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

на все высокие горы и все превозносящиеся холмы,

15 A nd upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

на всякую высокую башню и всякую укрепленную стену,

16 A nd upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

на все таршишские корабли и на все их желанные украшения.

17 A nd the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Гордыня людская будет унижена, гордость всякого смирена; один лишь Господь будет возвеличен в тот день,

18 A nd the idols he shall utterly abolish.

и идолы исчезнут совсем.

19 A nd they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

Люди уйдут в трещины скал и в ямы земли от страха Господа и от славы Его величия, когда Он поднимется, чтобы сотрясти землю.

20 I n that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

В тот день люди бросят кротам и летучим мышам своих серебряных идолов, своих золотых идолов, которых сделали, чтобы поклоняться им,

21 T o go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

и уйдут в расселины скал и в ущелья утесов от страха Господа и от славы Его величия, когда Он поднимется, чтобы сотрясти землю.

22 C ease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?

Перестаньте надеяться на человека, чья жизнь хрупка, как его дыхание. Разве он что-то значит?
