1 T he Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

Там Иисуса обступили фарисеи и саддукеи, которые, желая испытать Его, просили, чтобы Он показал им знамение с неба.

2 H e answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

Иисус ответил: – На закате, увидев, что небо красное, вы говорите: «Будет хорошая погода»,

3 A nd in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

а на рассвете, если небо заволокло багровыми тучами, вы говорите: «Будет буря». Вы знаете, что означают приметы неба, а истолковать знаков времени не можете.

4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Злое и развратное поколение ищет знамения, но ему не будет дано никакого знамения, кроме знамения Ионы. И, оставив их, Иисус ушел. Иисус предостерегает от ложных учений (Мк. 8: 14-21)

5 A nd when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

Переправляясь на другую сторону озера, ученики забыли взять с собой хлеба.

6 T hen Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Иисус же сказал им: – Смотрите, берегитесь закваски фарисеев и саддукеев.

7 A nd they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

Ученики стали рассуждать между собой: – Он говорит это потому, что мы не взяли с собой хлеба.

8 W hich when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

Иисус, зная, о чем они говорят, сказал: – Маловеры, почему вы рассуждаете между собой о том, что у вас нет хлеба?

9 D o ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

Неужели вы еще не поняли? Разве вы не помните, как пяти хлебов хватило на пять тысяч человек? Сколько вы тогда собрали корзин с остатками?

10 N either the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

А сколько корзин остатков вы собрали, когда четыре тысячи мужчин наелись семью хлебами?

11 H ow is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

Как вы не можете понять, что, говоря: «Берегитесь закваски фарисеев и саддукеев», – Я говорю не о хлебе?

12 T hen understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Тогда ученики поняли, что Он предостерегал их не от закваски, которую кладут в хлеб, а от учения фарисеев и саддукеев. Петр признает Иисуса Мессией (Мк. 8: 27-30; Лк. 9: 18-21)

13 W hen Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

Когда Иисус пришел в окрестности Кесарии Филипповой, Он спросил Своих учеников: – За кого люди принимают Сына Человеческого?

14 A nd they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

Ученики ответили: – Одни говорят, что Ты – Иоанн Креститель, другие – что Илия, а третьи – что Иеремия или один из других пророков.

15 H e saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

– А вы кем считаете Меня? – спросил их Иисус.

16 A nd Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Симон Петр ответил: – Ты – Христос, Сын живого Бога.

17 A nd Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Тогда Иисус сказал: – Блажен ты, Симон, сын Ионы, потому что это было открыто тебе не людьми, а Моим Небесным Отцом.

18 A nd I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

И Я говорю тебе: ты – Петр, и на этой скале Я построю Мою Церковь, и врата ада не одолеют ее.

19 A nd I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Я дам тебе ключи от Небесного Царства, и что ты запретишь на земле, то будет запрещено на небесах, и все, что ты разрешишь на земле, будет разрешено и на небесах.

20 T hen charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Затем Иисус велел ученикам никому не говорить о том, что Он – Христос. Иисус впервые говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении (Мк. 8: 31-33; Лк. 9: 22)

21 F rom that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

С этого времени Иисус начал объяснять ученикам, что Он должен идти в Иерусалим и там много пострадать от старейшин, первосвященников и учителей Закона, что Он будет убит, но на третий день воскреснет.

22 T hen Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

Тогда Петр отвел Его в сторону и стал возражать: – Да помилует Тебя Бог! Пусть не случится с Тобой этого, Господи!

23 B ut he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Иисус же, обернувшись, сказал Петру: – Прочь от Меня, сатана! Ты Мне камень преткновения, потому что рассуждаешь по-человечески и не понимаешь того, что хочет Бог. Что значит быть последователем Иисуса Христа (Мк. 8: 34 - 9: 1; Лк. 9: 23-27)

24 T hen said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Потом Иисус сказал ученикам: – Если кто желает быть Моим последователем, пусть отречется от самого себя, возьмет свой крест и пусть следует за Мной.

25 F or whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Потому что тот, кто хочет сберечь свою жизнь, потеряет ее, а кто отдаст свою жизнь ради Меня, тот обретет ее.

26 F or what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Ведь что пользы человеку, если он приобретет весь мир, но при этом повредит своей душе? Или что даст человек в обмен за свою душу?

27 F or the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Когда Сын Человеческий придет в славе Своего Отца, окруженный Своими ангелами, тогда Он воздаст каждому по его делам.

28 V erily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Говорю вам истину: некоторые из вас, стоящих здесь, не умрут, пока не увидят прежде Сына Человеческого, пришедшего в Своем Царстве.
