1 T hen Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

2 A nd he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

Он начал строить во второй день второго месяца в четвертый год своего правления.

3 N ow these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

Вот размеры основания, на котором Соломон строил Божий дом: шестьдесят локтей длины и двадцать локтей ширины (по локтю старого образца).

4 A nd the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

Притвор перед домом был длиной двадцать локтей – по ширине самого здания – и двадцать локтей высотой. Изнутри он покрыл его чистым золотом.

5 A nd the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.

Он обшил большой зал сосной, вызолотил его и украсил орнаментом из пальм и цепей.

6 A nd he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

Он выложил дом драгоценными камнями и золотом, доставленным из Парваима.

7 H e overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.

Он покрыл золотом потолочные балки, дверные рамы, стены и двери дома и вырезал на стенах херувимов.

8 A nd he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

Затем он построил Святое Святых, длина которого совпадала с шириной дома: двадцать локтей в длину и двадцать в ширину. Изнутри он покрыл его лучшим золотом на шестьсот талантов.

9 A nd the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

Золотые гвозди весили пятьдесят шекелей. Золотом он покрыл также и верхние комнаты.

10 A nd in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.

В Святом Святых он сделал двух херувимов резной работы и покрыл их золотом.

11 A nd the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

Крылья херувимов были длиной в двадцать локтей. Одно крыло первого херувима было пяти локтей в длину и касалось стены дома, а второе крыло, тоже пяти локтей в длину, касалось крыла другого херувима.

12 A nd one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

Точно так же одно крыло второго херувима было пяти локтей в длину и касалось противоположной стены дома, а другое крыло, тоже пяти локтей в длину, касалось крыла первого херувима.

13 T he wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.

Крылья этих херувимов простирались на двадцать локтей. Они стояли на ногах, лицами к главному залу.

14 A nd he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.

Он сделал завесу из голубой, пурпурной и алой пряжи и лучшего льна с изображенными на ней херувимами. Две бронзовые колонны (3 Цар. 7: 15-22)

15 A lso he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

Перед домом он сделал две колонны, которые вместе были тридцати пяти локтей в длину. Капители на каждой из колонн были по пять локтей высотой.

16 A nd he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

Он сделал круговые цепи и украсил ими верхние части колонн. Еще он сделал сто гранатовых плодов и прикрепил их к цепям.

17 A nd he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.

Он установил колонны перед храмом: одну с южной стороны и одну с северной. Ту, что с южной стороны, он назвал Иахин, а ту, что с северной стороны, – Боаз.
