1 T he mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Господь – Бог богов; Он призывает землю от востока и до запада,

2 O ut of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

С Сиона, совершенного красотой, Бог являет Свой свет.

3 O ur God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Бог наш идет и не останется безмолвным. Перед Ним пожирающий огонь, и вокруг Него сильная буря.

4 H e shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

Он призывает небеса сверху и землю быть свидетелями Его суда над Своим народом:

5 G ather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

«Соберите ко Мне всех, кто верен Мне, кто заключил со Мной завет при жертве».

6 A nd the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

И небеса возвещают о праведности Его, потому что Сам Бог – судья. Пауза

7 H ear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

«Слушай, народ Мой, Я буду говорить; Израиль, Я буду против тебя свидетельствовать. Я – Бог, твой Бог.

8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

Не за жертвы твои Я тебя корю – твои всесожжения всегда предо Мною.

9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

Мне не нужен ни бык из твоих загонов, ни козлы из твоих дворов,

10 F or every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

ведь все звери в лесу – Мои, и скот на тысяче гор.

11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

Я знаю всех птиц в горах и все, что живет в полях.

12 I f I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

Если бы Я был голоден, то не сказал бы тебе, ведь Мне принадлежит вселенная и все, что наполняет ее.

13 W ill I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

Разве Я ем мясо быков или пью козлиную кровь?

14 O ffer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Принеси хвалу в жертву Богу, исполни свои обеты пред Всевышним,

15 A nd call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

и тогда призови Меня в день бедствия, и Я спасу тебя, а ты прославишь Меня».

16 B ut unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

Но нечестивому Бог говорит: «Как ты смеешь возвещать Мои уставы и говорить о Моем завете?

17 S eeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

Ты ненавидишь Мое наставление и бросаешь за спину Мои слова.

18 W hen thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

Увидев вора, ты с ним сближаешься, и водишь дружбу с прелюбодеями.

19 T hou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

Ты даешь злословить своим устам, и язык твой сплетает ложь.

20 T hou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

Ты всегда обвиняешь брата, клевещешь на сына матери твоей.

21 T hese things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Ты творил это, а Я молчал; ты решил, что и Я – как ты. Но Я обличу тебя и в глаза тебя обвиню.

22 N ow consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

Запомните это, забывающие о Боге, или Я растерзаю вас, и не будет для вас спасителя.

23 W hoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Приносящий Мне в жертву хвалу чтит Меня; тому, кто идет по праведному пути, Я явлю спасение Божье».
