1 Y ahweh, you have searched me, and you know me.

Señor, tú me has examinado y me conoces;

2 Y ou know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.

tú sabes cuando me siento o me levanto; ¡desde lejos sabes todo lo que pienso!

3 Y ou search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

Me vigilas cuando camino y cuando descanso; ¡estás enterado de todo lo que hago!

4 F or there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether.

Todavía no tengo las palabras en la lengua, ¡y tú, Señor, ya sabes lo que estoy por decir!

5 Y ou hem me in behind and before. You laid your hand on me.

Tu presencia me envuelve por completo; la palma de tu mano reposa sobre mí.

6 T his knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it.

Saber esto rebasa mi entendimiento; ¡es tan sublime que no alcanzo a comprenderlo!

7 W here could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence?

¿Dónde puedo esconderme de tu espíritu? ¿Cómo podría huir de tu presencia?

8 I f I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!

Si subiera yo a los cielos, allí estás tú; si me tendiera en el sepulcro, también estás allí.

9 I f I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Si levantara el vuelo hacia el sol naciente, o si habitara en los confines del mar,

10 E ven there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.

aun allí tu mano me sostendría; ¡tu mano derecha no me soltaría!

11 I f I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me; the light around me will be night”;

Si quisiera esconderme en las tinieblas, y que se hiciera noche la luz que me rodea,

12 e ven the darkness doesn’t hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.

¡ni las tinieblas me esconderían de ti, pues para ti la noche es como el día! ¡Para ti son lo mismo las tinieblas y la luz!

13 F or you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Tú, Señor, diste forma a mis entrañas; tú me formaste en el vientre de mi madre!

14 I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.

Te alabo porque tus obras son formidables, porque todo lo que haces es maravilloso. ¡De esto estoy plenamente convencido!

15 M y frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth.

Aunque en lo íntimo me diste forma, y en lo más secreto me fui desarrollando, nada de mi cuerpo te fue desconocido.

16 Y our eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Con tus propios ojos viste mi embrión; todos los días de mi vida ya estaban en tu libro; antes de que me formaras, los anotaste, y no faltó uno solo de ellos.

17 H ow precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is their sum!

Dios mío, ¡cuán preciosos me son tus pensamientos! ¡Cuán vastos son en su totalidad!

18 I f I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.

Si los contara, serían más que la arena; si terminara de contarlos, tú aún estarías allí.

19 I f only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men!

Dios mío, ¡quítales la vida a los malvados! ¡Aparta de mí a la gente violenta,

20 F or they speak against you wickedly. Your enemies take your name in vain.

a esos enemigos tuyos que blasfeman y se burlan de ti!

21 Y ahweh, don’t I hate those who hate you? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against you?

Señor, tú sabes que odio a los que te odian, que mi enojo se enciende contra tus enemigos.

22 I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.

Son para mí totalmente aborrecibles; ¡los considero mis peores enemigos!

23 S earch me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.

Señor, examina y reconoce mi corazón: pon a prueba cada uno de mis pensamientos.

24 S ee if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

Así verás si voy por mal camino, y me guiarás por el camino eterno.
