23 C erca di conoscere bene lo stato delle tue pecore e abbi cura delle tue mandrie,

Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds;

24 p erché le ricchezze non durano sempre, e neppure una corona dura di generazione in generazione.

For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations.

25 Q uando il fieno è portato via ed appare l'erba tenera e si raccoglie il foraggio dei monti,

When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself, And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,

26 g li agnelli provvederanno le tue vesti, i capri il prezzo di un campo

The lambs will provide your clothing, And the goats the price of a field;

27 e le capre abbastanza latte per il tuo cibo, per il cibo della tua casa e per il mantenimento delle tue serve.

You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food, For the food of your household, And the nourishment of your maidservants.
