1 В първата година на персийския цар Кир, за да се изпълни Господнето слово, изговорено чрез устата на Йеремия, Господ подбуди духа на персийския цар Кир и той прогласи по цялото си царство, още и писмено обяви:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

2 Т ака казва персийският цар Кир: Небесният Бог Йехова ми е дал всички царства на света; и Той ми е заръчал да Му построя дом в Йерусалим, който е в Юдея.

Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

3 И така, който между вас, от целия Негов народ, е наклонен, неговият Бог да бъде с него, нека излезе в Йерусалим, който е в Юдея, и нека построи на Йехова, Израелевия Бог (Той е Бог), дома, който е в Йерусалим.

Whosoever there is among you of all his people, his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.

4 Н а всеки, който е оцелял, в каквото и да било място, където е пришълец, нека му помогнат мъжете на онова място със сребро и злато, с имот и добитък, освен това, което доброволно би било принесено за Божия дом, който е в Йерусалим.

And whosoever is left, in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, besides the freewill-offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.

5 Т огава станаха началниците на бащините домове на Юда и Вениамин и свещениците, и левитите, с всички, на които Бог подбуди духа да излязат, за да построят Господния дом, който е в Йерусалим.

Then rose up the heads of fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up to build the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem.

6 И всичките им съседи им помагаха със сребърни вещи, със злато, имот, добитък и скъпоценни неща, освен всичко това, което доброволно беше принасяно.

And all they that were round about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.

7 Ц ар Кир извади вещите на Господния дом, които Навуходоносор беше донесъл от Йерусалим и сложил в храма на боговете си -

Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of Jehovah, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put in the house of his gods;

8 т ях извади персийският цар Кир чрез съкровищника Митридат и ги брои на управителя на Юда Сасавасар.

even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

9 И ето числото им: тридесет златни легена, хиляда сребърни легена, двадесет и девет ножа,

And this is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, a thousand platters of silver, nine and twenty knives,

10 т ридесет златни блюда, четиристотин и десет сребърни блюда от втори вид и хиляда други съдове.

thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand.

11 В сички златни и сребърни съдове бяха пет хиляди и четиристотин - всички тях Сасавасар занесе, когато пленниците се върнаха от Вавилон в Йерусалим.

All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when they of the captivity were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.
