1 I will extol thee, my God, O King; And I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

2 E very day will I bless thee; And I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Ti benedirò ogni giorno e loderò il tuo nome in eterno.

3 G reat is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable.

L'Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode, e la sua grandezza è imperscrutabile.

4 O ne generation shall laud thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.

Una generazione proclamerà le lodi delle tue opere all'altra e annunzierà i tuoi portenti.

5 O f the glorious majesty of thine honor, And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.

Mediterò sul glorioso splendore della tua maestà e sulle tue meravigliose opere.

6 A nd men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; And I will declare thy greatness.

Essi parleranno della potenza delle tue tremende opere, e io racconterò la tua grandezza.

7 T hey shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, And shall sing of thy righteousness.

Essi proclameranno il ricordo della tua grande bontà e canteranno con gioia la tua giustizia.

8 J ehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.

L'Eterno è misericordioso e pieno di compassione, lento all'ira e di grande benignità,

9 J ehovah is good to all; And his tender mercies are over all his works.

L'Eterno è buono verso tutti e pieno di compassione per tutte le sue opere.

10 A ll thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; And thy saints shall bless thee.

Tutte le tue opere ti celebreranno o Eterno, e i tuoi santi ti benediranno.

11 T hey shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, And talk of thy power;

Essi parleranno della gloria del tuo regno e racconteranno della tua potenza.

12 T o make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, And the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

per far conoscere ai figli degli uomini i tuoi portenti e il glorioso splendore del tuo regno.

13 T hy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

Il tuo regno è un regno eterno e il tuo dominio dura per ogni età.

14 J ehovah upholdeth all that fall, And raiseth up all those that are bowed down.

L'Eterno sostiene tutti quelli che cadono e rialza tutti quelli che sono abbattuti.

15 T he eyes of all wait for thee; And thou givest them their food in due season.

Gli occhi di tutti guardano a te con aspettazione, e tu dai loro il cibo a suo tempo.

16 T hou openest thy hand, And satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

Tu apri la tua mano e appaghi il desiderio di ogni essere vivente.

17 J ehovah is righteous in all his ways, And gracious in all his works.

L'Eterno è giusto in tutte le sue vie e benigno in tutte le sue opere.

18 J ehovah is nigh unto all them that call upon him, To all that call upon him in truth.

L'Eterno è vicino a tutti quelli che lo invocano, a tutti quelli che lo invocano in verità.

19 H e will fulfil the desire of them that fear him; He also will hear their cry and will save them.

Egli soddisfa il desiderio di quelli che lo temono, ode il loro grido e li salva.

20 J ehovah preserveth all them that love him; But all the wicked will he destroy.

L'Eterno protegge tutti quelli che l'amano e distruggerà tutti gli empi.

21 M y mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

La mia bocca narrerà la lode dell'Eterno, e ogni carne benedirà il suo santo nome per sempre.
