I miei nemici vorrebbero continuamente divorarmi. Sì sono molti coloro che mi combattono nel loro orgoglio.

3 W hat time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.

Quando avrò paura, confiderò in te.

4 I n God (I will praise his word), In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do unto me?

Con l'aiuto di DIO celebrerò la sua parola; ho posto la mia fiducia in DIO, non temerò. Che cosa mi può fare l'uomo?

5 A ll the day long they wrest my words: All their thoughts are against me for evil.

Essi distorcono continuamente le mie parole; tutti i loro pensieri sono volti a farmi del male.

6 T hey gather themselves together, they hide themselves, They mark my steps, Even as they have waited for my soul.

Si riuniscono insieme, stanno in agguato; spiano i miei passi, aspettando di prendere la mia vita.

7 S hall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.

Essi pensano di sfuggire mediante la malvagità; nella tua ira, o DIO, atterra i popoli.

8 T hou numberest my wanderings: Put thou my tears into thy bottle; Are they not in thy book?

Tu hai contato i passi del mio vagare; riponi le mie lacrime nel tuo otre; non le hai registrate nel tuo libro?

9 T hen shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call: This I know, that God is for me.

Nel giorno che griderò a te, i miei nemici volteranno le spalle. Questo lo so, perché DIO è per me.

10 I n God (I will praise his word), In Jehovah (I will praise his word),

Con l'aiuto di DIO celebrerò la sua parola; con l'aiuto dell'Eterno celebrerò la sua parola.

11 I n God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can man do unto me?

Ho posto la mia fiducia in DIO, non temerò. Che cosa mi può fare l'uomo?

12 T hy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thank-offerings unto thee.

I voti fatti a te, o DIO, mi vincolano. Ti renderò lode.

13 F or thou hast delivered my soul from death: Hast thou not delivered my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living?

Perché tu hai liberato l'anima mia dalla morte e hai preservato i miei piedi da caduta, affinché cammini davanti a DIO nella luce dei viventi.
