1 P raise ye Jehovah. Sing unto Jehovah a new song, And his praise in the assembly of the saints.

Alleluia. Cantate all'Eterno un canto nuovo, cantate la sua lode nell'assemblea dei santi.

2 L et Israel rejoice in him that made him: Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Si rallegri Israele in colui che lo ha fatto, esultino i figli di Sion nel loro Re.

3 L et them praise his name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp.

Lodino il suo nome con la danza, cantino le sue lodi col tamburello e la cetra,

4 F or Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people: He will beautify the meek with salvation.

perché l'Eterno si compiace nel suo popolo; egli corona di salvezza gli umili.

5 L et the saints exult in glory: Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

Esultino i santi nella gloria, cantino di gioia sui loro letti.

6 L et the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand;

Abbiano nella loro bocca le lodi di DIO e nella loro mano una spada a due tagli,

7 T o execute vengeance upon the nations, And punishments upon the peoples;

per far vendetta sulle nazioni e infliggere castighi sui popoli,

8 T o bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;

per legare i loro re con catene e i loro nobili con ceppi di ferro,

9 T o execute upon them the judgment written: This honor have all his saints. Praise ye Jehovah.

per eseguire su di loro il giudizio scritto. Questo è l'onore riservato a tutti i suoi santi. Alleluia.
