1 I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.

Senhor, quero dar-te graças de todo o coração e falar de todas as tuas maravilhas.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

Em ti quero alegrar-me e exultar, e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo.

3 W hen my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.

Quando os meus inimigos contigo se defrontam, tropeçam e são destruídos.

4 F or you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.

Pois defendeste o meu direito e a minha causa; em teu trono te assentaste, julgando com justiça.

5 Y ou have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

Repreendeste as nações e destruíste os ímpios; para todo o sempre apagaste o nome deles.

6 T he enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.

O inimigo foi totalmente arrasado, para sempre; desarraigaste as suas cidades; já não há quem delas se lembre.

7 B ut Yahweh reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.

O Senhor reina para sempre; estabeleceu o seu trono para julgar.

8 H e will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.

Ele mesmo julga o mundo com justiça; governa os povos com retidão.

9 Y ahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.

O Senhor é refúgio para os oprimidos, uma torre segura na hora da adversidade.

10 T hose who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Os que conhecem o teu nome confiam em ti, pois tu, Senhor, jamais abandonas os que te buscam.

11 S ing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion, and declare among the people what he has done.

Cantem louvores ao Senhor, que reina em Sião; proclamem entre as nações os seus feitos.

12 F or he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.

Aquele que pede contas do sangue derramado não esquece; ele não ignora o clamor dos oprimidos.

13 H ave mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death;

Misericórdia, Senhor! Vê o sofrimento que me causam os que me odeiam. Salva-me das portas da morte,

14 t hat I may show all of your praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.

para que, junto às portas da cidade de Sião, eu cante louvores a ti e ali exulte em tua salvação.

15 T he nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.

Caíram as nações na cova que abriram; os seus pés ficaram presos no laço que esconderam.

16 Y ahweh has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.

O Senhor é conhecido pela justiça que executa; os ímpios caem em suas próprias armadilhas. Interlúdio. Pausa

17 T he wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.

Voltem os ímpios ao pó, todas as nações que se esquecem de Deus!

18 F or the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.

Mas os pobres nunca serão esquecidos, nem se frustrará a esperança dos necessitados.

19 A rise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight.

Levanta-te, Senhor! Não permitas que o mortal triunfe! Julgadas sejam as nações na tua presença.

20 P ut them in fear, Yahweh. Let the nations know that they are only men. Selah.
