1 I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.

I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

I will be glad and exult in thee; I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

3 W hen my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.

When mine enemies turn back, They stumble and perish at thy presence.

4 F or you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.

5 Y ou have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

6 T he enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.

The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever; And the cities which thou hast overthrown, The very remembrance of them is perished.

7 B ut Yahweh reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.

But Jehovah sitteth as king for ever: He hath prepared his throne for judgment;

8 H e will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.

And he will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples in uprightness.

9 Y ahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.

Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed, A high tower in times of trouble;

10 T hose who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

11 S ing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion, and declare among the people what he has done.

Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwelleth in Zion: Declare among the people his doings.

12 F or he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.

For he that maketh inquisition for blood remembereth them; He forgetteth not the cry of the poor.

13 H ave mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death;

Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; Behold my affliction which I suffer of them that hate me, Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;

14 t hat I may show all of your praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.

That I may show forth all thy praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion I will rejoice in thy salvation.

15 T he nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.

16 Y ahweh has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.

Jehovah hath made himself known, he hath executed judgment: The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah

17 T he wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.

The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.

18 F or the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.

For the needy shall not alway be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.

19 A rise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight.

Arise, O Jehovah; let not man prevail: Let the nations be judged in thy sight.

20 P ut them in fear, Yahweh. Let the nations know that they are only men. Selah.
