eles já nos teriam engolido vivos, quando se enfureceram contra nós;

4 t hen the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul;

as águas nos teriam arrastado e as torrentes nos teriam afogado;

5 t hen the proud waters would have gone over our soul.

sim, as águas violentas nos teriam afogado!

6 B lessed be Yahweh, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.

Bendito seja o Senhor, que não nos entregou para sermos dilacerados pelos dentes deles.

7 O ur soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

Como um pássaro escapamos da armadilha do caçador; a armadilha foi quebrada, e nós escapamos.

8 O ur help is in Yahweh’s name, who made heaven and earth.
