1 T he fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.

Diz o tolo em seu coração: “Deus não existe!” Corromperam-se e cometeram injustiças detestáveis; não há ninguém que faça o bem.

2 G od looks down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there are any who understood, who seek after God.

Deus olha lá dos céus para os filhos dos homens, para ver se há alguém que tenha entendimento, alguém que busque a Deus.

3 E very one of them has gone back. They have become filthy together. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

Todos se desviaram, igualmente se corromperam; não há ninguém que faça o bem, não há nem um sequer.

4 H ave the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on God?

Será que os malfeitores não aprendem? Eles devoram o meu povo como quem come pão, e não clamam a Deus!

5 T here they were in great fear, where no fear was, for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you. You have put them to shame, because God has rejected them.

Olhem! Estão tomados de pavor, quando não existe motivo algum para temer! Pois foi Deus quem espalhou os ossos dos que atacaram você; você os humilhou porque Deus os rejeitou.

6 O h that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God brings back his people from captivity, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Ah, se de Sião viesse a salvação para Israel! Quando Deus restaurar o seu povo, Jacó exultará! Israel se regozijará!
