1 ¶ Judge me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity; I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

«Di Davide» Fammi giustizia, o Eterno, perché io ho camminato nella mia integrità e ho confidato nell'Eterno senza vacillare.

2 E xamine me, O LORD and prove me; melt my kidneys and my heart.

Investigami, o Eterno, e mettimi alla prova; purifica col fuoco la mia mente e il mio cuore.

3 F or thy mercy is before my eyes, and I walk in thy truth.

Poiché la tua benignità mi sta davanti agli occhi, e cammino nella tua verità.

4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

Non mi siedo con uomini bugiardi e non vado con gli ipocriti.

5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers and will not sit with the wicked.

Io odio l'Adunanza dei malvagi e non mi associo con gli empi.

6 ¶ I will wash my hands in innocency, so I will walk near unto thine altar, O LORD:

Io lavo le mie mani nell'Innocenza vado intorno al tuo altare o Eterno

7 T hat I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works.

per proclamare ad alta voce la tua lode e per raccontare tutte le tue meraviglie.

8 L ORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house and the place of the tabernacle of thy glory.

O Eterno, io amo la dimora della tua casa e il luogo dove risiede la tua gloria.

9 G ather not my soul with the sinners, nor my life with those who have blood on their hands:

Non mettere l'anima mia assieme ai peccatori e non aggregarmi agli uomini di sangue,

10 I n whose hands are wicked devices, and their right hand is full of bribes.

perché nelle loro mani ci sono piani malvagi e la loro destra è colma di regali.

11 B ut as for me, I will walk in my integrity; ransom me and be merciful unto me.

Ma io camminerò nella mia integrità, riscattami e abbi pietà di me.

12 I have walked uprightly; in the congregations I will bless the LORD.

Il mio piede sta fermo in luogo piano. Nelle assemblee io benedirò l'Eterno.
