1 С півайте із радістю, праведні в Господі, бо щирим лицює хвала!

Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright.

2 Х валіть Господа гуслами, співайте Йому з десятиструнною арфою,

Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.

3 з аспівайте Йому нову пісню, гарно заграйте Йому з гуком сурем,

Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

4 б о щире Господнєє слово, і кожен чин Його вірний!

For Yahweh’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

5 П равду та суд Він кохає, і Господньої милости повна земля!

He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.

6 С ловом Господнім учинене небо, а подихом уст Його все його військо.

By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.

7 В оду морську збирає Він, мов би до міху, безодні складає в коморах.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

8 Б уде боятися Господа ціла земля, всі мешканці всесвіту будуть лякатись Його,

Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

9 б о сказав Він і сталось, наказав і з'явилось.

For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

10 Г осподь раду поганів понищить, понівечить мислі народів,

Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

11 а задум Господній навіки стоятиме, думки Його серця на вічні віки!

The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Б лаженний той люд, що Богом у нього Господь, блаженний народ, що Він вибрав його на спадок Собі!

Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

13 Г осподь споглядає з небес, і бачить усіх синів людських,

Yahweh looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

14 п риглядається з місця оселі Своєї до всіх, хто замешкує землю:

From the place of his habitation he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,

15 Х то створив серце кожного з них, наглядає всі їхні діла!

he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.

16 Н емає царя, що його многість війська спасає, не врятується велетень великістю сили,

There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

17 д ля спасіння той кінь ненадійний, і великістю сили своєї він не збереже,

A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.

18 о сь око Господнє на тих, хто боїться Його, хто надію на милість Його покладає,

Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;

19 щ об рятувати життя їхнє від смерти, і щоб за час голоду їх оживляти!

to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.

20 Д уша наша надію складає на Господа, Він наша поміч і щит наш,

Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield.

21 б о Ним радується наше серце, бо на Ймення святеє Його ми надію кладемо!

For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Н ехай Твоя милість, о Господи, буде на нас, коли покладаємо надію на Тебе!

Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.
