1 ( 23-2) Не ввійде на збори Господні ранений розчавленням ятер та з відрізаним членом.

He who is emasculated by crushing or cutting shall not enter into Yahweh’s assembly.

2 ( 23-3) Неправоложний не ввійде на збори Господні, також десяте покоління його не ввійде на збори Господні.

A person born of a forbidden union shall not enter into Yahweh’s assembly; even to the tenth generation shall no one of his enter into Yahweh’s assembly.

3 ( 23-4) Не ввійде на збори Господні аммонітянин та моавітянин, також десяте їхнє покоління не ввійде на збори Господні, аж навіки,

An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into Yahweh’s assembly; even to the tenth generation shall no one belonging to them enter into Yahweh’s assembly forever;

4 ( 23-5) за те, що вони не вийшли назустріч вас із хлібом та водою в дорозі, коли ви виходили з Єгипту, і що найняли були на тебе Валаама, Беорового сина з Петору Араму двох річок, щоб проклясти тебе.

because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

5 ( 23-6) Та не хотів Господь, Бог твій, слухати Валаама, і перемінив тобі Господь, Бог твій, те прокляття на благословення, бо любить тебе Господь, Бог твій.

Nevertheless Yahweh your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam; but Yahweh your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because Yahweh your God loved you.

6 ( 23-7) Не будеш бажати для них миру й добра по всі свої дні навіки.

You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

7 ( 23-8) Не обридиш собі Ідумеянина, бо він твій брат; не обридиш собі Єгиптянина, бо був ти приходьком у краї його.

You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

8 ( 23-9) Сини, що народяться їм, покоління третє ввійде з них на збори Господні.

The children of the third generation who are born to them may enter into Yahweh’s assembly.

9 ( 23-10) Коли табір вийде на ворогів твоїх, то будеш стерегтися всякої злої речі.

When you go out and camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

10 ( 23-11) Коли поміж тебе буде хто, що буде нечистий з нічної пригоди, то він вийде поза табір, до середини табору не ввійде.

If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp;

11 ( 23-12) А коли наступатиме вечір, обмиється в воді, а по заході сонця ввійде до середини табору.

but it shall be, when evening comes, he shall bathe himself in water. When the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

12 ( 23-13) А місце на потребу буде тобі поза табором, щоб виходити тобі туди назовні.

You shall have a place also outside of the camp where you go relieve yourself.

13 ( 23-14) А лопатка буде в тебе на поясі твоїм; і станеться, коли ти сидітимеш назовні, то будеш копати нею, і знову закриєш свою нечистість,

You shall have a trowel among your weapons. It shall be, when you relieve yourself, you shall dig with it, and shall turn back and cover your excrement;

14 ( 23-15) бо Господь, Бог твій, ходить у середині табору твого, щоб тебе спасати, і видавати ворогів твоїх тобі. І буде табір твій святий, і Він не побачить у тебе соромітної речі, і не відвернеться.

for Yahweh your God walks in the middle of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you. Therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

15 ( 23-16) Не видавай панові раба його, який сховається до тебе від пана свого.

You shall not deliver to his master a servant who has escaped from his master to you.

16 ( 23-17) З тобою він сидітиме серед вас у місці, яке він вибере за добре собі в одній з твоїх брам, і ти не будеш гнобити його.

He shall dwell with you, among you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best. You shall not oppress him.

17 ( 23-18) Блудниця не буде з Ізраїлевих дочок, і блудодій не буде з Ізраїлевих синів.

There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 ( 23-19) Не принесеш дару розпусниці й ціни пса до дому Господа, Бога твого, ні за яку обітницю, бо тож вони обоє гидота перед Господом, Богом твоїм.

You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a male prostitute, into the house of Yahweh your God for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to Yahweh your God.

19 ( 23-20) Не будеш позичати братові своєму на відсоток срібла, на відсоток їжі та всякої речі, що позичається на відсоток.

You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest.

20 ( 23-21) Чужому позичиш на відсоток, а братові своєму не позичиш на відсоток, щоб поблагословив тебе Господь, Бог твій у всьому, до чого доторкнеться рука твоя на тій землі, куди ти входиш на володіння її.

You may lend on interest to a foreigner; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

21 ( 23-22) Коли ти складеш обітницю Господеві, Богові твоєму, не загаюйся виконати її, бо конче буде жадати Господь, Бог твій, від тебе, і буде на тобі гріх.

When you vow a vow to Yahweh your God, you shall not be slack to pay it; for Yahweh your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

22 ( 23-23) А коли ти не складав обітниці, не буде на тобі гріха.

But if you refrain from making a vow, it shall be no sin in you.

23 ( 23-24) Що вийшло з уст твоїх, будеш додержувати й будеш виконувати, як обіцяв ти Господеві, Богові своєму, добровільну жертву, що промовляв ти своїми устами.

You shall observe and do that which has gone out of your lips. Whatever you have vowed to Yahweh your God as a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth, you must do.

24 ( 23-25) Коли ввійдеш до виноградника свого ближнього, то будеш їсти виноград, скільки схоче душа твоя, до свого насичення, а до посуду свого не візьмеш.

When you come into your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your container.

25 ( 23-26) Коли ти ввійдеш на дозріле збіжжя свого ближнього, то будеш рвати колоски рукою своєю, а серпом не будеш жати на дозрілім збіжжі свого ближнього.

When you come into your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.
