1 C ine este acesta, care vine din Edom, din Boţra, în haine roşii, în haine strălucitoare, şi calcă mîndru, în plinătatea puterii Lui? -, Eu sînt Cel care am făgăduit mîntuirea, şi am putere să izbăvesc!`` -

Who is this Who comes from Edom, with dark red clothing from Bozrah? Who is this One Who is beautiful in His clothing, walking in the greatness of His strength? “It is I, Who speaks what is right and good, powerful to save.”

2 D ar pentru ce Îţi sînt hainele roşii, şi veşmintele Tale ca veşmintele celui ce calcă în teasc?`` -

Why is Your clothing red? Why is Your clothing like his who crushes the grapes?

3 E u singur am călcat în teasc, şi niciun om dintre popoare nu era cu Mine; i-am călcat astfel în mînia Mea, şi i-am zdrobit în urgia Mea; aşa că sîngele lor a ţîşnit pe veşmintele Mele, şi Mi-am mînjit toate hainele Mele cu el.

“I have crushed the grapes alone. From the people there was no man with Me. I crushed them in My anger. I was angry as I stepped on them. And their life blood is on My clothing, and all My clothing is red.

4 C ăci în inima Mea era o zi de răzbunare, şi venise anul celor răscumpăraţi ai Mei.

For the day of punishment was in My heart. And My year to save My people and make them free has come.

5 M ă uitam împrejur, şi nu era nimeni să M'ajute, şi Mă îngrozeam, dar nu era cine să Mă sprijinească; atunci braţul Meu Mi -a fost într'ajutor, şi urgia mea M'a sprijinit!

I looked, and there was no one to help. I wondered that there was no one to help. So My own arm brought saving power to Me, and My anger helped Me.

6 A m călcat astfel în picioare popoare în mînia Mea, le-am îmbătat în urgia Mea, şi le-am vărsat sîngele pe pămînt.``

I crushed the nations in My anger and I made them drunk in My anger. I poured out their life blood on the earth.” Israel Remembers God’s Loving-Kindness

7 V oi vesti îndurările Domnului, faptele Lui minunate, după tot ce a făcut Domnul pentru noi! Voi spune marea Lui bunătate faţă de casa lui Israel, căci i -a făcut după îndurările şi bogăţia dragostei Lui.

I will tell of the loving-kindness of the Lord, and praise Him for all He has done. I will tell of all the Lord has given us, the great goodness He has shown to the family of Israel and given to them because of His loving-pity and His great loving-kindness.

8 E l a zis:,, Negreşit, ei sînt poporul Meu, nişte copii cari nu vor fi necredincioşi!`` Şi astfel El s'a făcut Mîntuitorul lor.

For He said, “For sure they are My people, sons who will not be false to Me.” So He saved them from the punishment of sin.

9 Î n toate necazurile lor n'au fost fără ajutor, şi Îngerul care este înaintea Feţei Lui i -a mîntuit; El Însuş i -a răscumpărat, în dragostea şi îndurarea Lui, şi necurmat i -a sprijinit şi i -a purtat în zilele din vechime.

He suffered with them in all their troubles, and the angel of the Lord saved them. In His loving-kindness He paid the price and made them free. He lifted them up and carried them all the days of long ago.

10 D ar ei au fost neascultători şi au întristat pe Duhul Lui cel sfînt; iar El li s'a făcut vrăjmaş şi a luptat împotriva lor.

But they turned against Him and made His Holy Spirit have sorrow. So He turned Himself and hated them, and fought against them.

11 A tunci poporul Său şi -a adus aminte de zilele străvechi ale lui Moise, şi a zis:,, Unde este Acela, care i -a scos din mare, cu păstorul turmei Sale? Unde este Acela care punea în mijlocul lor Duhul Lui cel sfînt;

Then His people remembered the days long ago, the days of Moses. Where is He Who brought them through the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He Who put His Holy Spirit among them?

12 c are povăţuia dreapta lui Moise, cu braţul Său cel slăvit; care despica apele înaintea lor, ca să-Şi facă un Nume vecinic;

Where is He Who caused His great arm to be at the right hand of Moses? Where is He Who divided the waters in front of them to make for Himself a name that lasts forever.

13 c are îi călăuzea prin valuri, ca un cal pe loc neted, fără ca ei să se poticnească?``

Who led them through the sea? Like a horse in the desert, they did not lose their step.

14 C a fiara, care se pogoară în vale, aşa i -a dus Duhul Domnului la odihnă. Aşa ai povăţuit Tu pe poporul Tău, ca să-Ţi faci un Nume plin de slavă!``

Like cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the Lord gave them rest. So You led Your people, to make for Yourself a great and honored name. A Prayer for Help

15 P riveşte din cer şi vezi, din locuinţa Ta cea sfîntă şi slăvită: unde este rîvna şi puterea Ta? Fiorul inimii Tale şi îndurările Tale nu se mai arată faţă de mine!

Look down from heaven, and see from Your holy and beautiful house. Where are Your strong desires and Your powerful works? Your kindness and Your loving-pity are kept from me.

16 T otuş Tu eşti Tatăl nostru! Căci Avraam nu ne cunoaşte, şi Israel nu ştie cine sîntem; dar Tu, Doamne, eşti Tatăl nostru, Tu, din vecinicie, Te numeşti, Mîntuitorul nostru.``

For You are our Father. Even though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not see who we are, You, O Lord, are our Father. The One Who bought us and made us free from long ago is Your name.

17 P entruce, Doamne, ne laşi să rătăcim dela căile Tale, şi ne împietreşti inima ca să nu ne temem de Tine? Întoarce-Te, din dragoste pentru robii Tăi, pentru seminţiile moştenirii Tale!

O Lord, why do You make us turn aside from Your ways and make our hearts hard so we do not fear You? Return because of Your servants, the families of Your promised land.

18 P oporul Tău cel sfînt n'a stăpînit ţara de cît puţină vreme; vrăjmaşii noştri au călcat în picioare locaşul Tău cel sfînt.

Your holy people kept Your holy house for a little while. But those who hate us have broken it under their feet.

19 A m ajuns ca un popor pe care niciodată nu l-ai cîrmuit Tu, şi peste care niciodată nu s'a chemat Numele Tău...

We have become like those over whom You have never ruled, like those who were not called by Your name.
