1 Î n vremile de pe urmă, muntele Casei Domnului va fi întemeiat tare ca cel mai înalt munte, se va înălţa deasupra dealurilor, şi popoarele vor veni grămadă la el.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest one of all. It will be raised above the hills, and the people will flow to it.

2 N eamurile se vor duce cu grămada la el, şi vor zice:,, Veniţi, haidem să ne suim la muntele Domnului, la Casa Dumnezeului lui Iacov, ca să ne înveţe căile Lui, şi să umblăm pe cărările Lui! Căci din Sion va ieşi Legea, şi din Ierusalim Cuvîntul Domnului.

Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord and to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us about His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” For the Law will go out from Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

3 E l va judeca între multe popoare, va hotărî între neamuri puternice, depărtate. Din săbiile lor îşi vor făuri fiare de plug, şi din suliţele lor cosoare; niciun neam nu va mai trage sabia împotriva altuia, şi nu vor mai învăţa să facă război;

He will judge between many people. He will decide for strong nations that are far away. Then they will beat their swords into plows, and their spears into cutting hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and they will never learn war any more.

4 c i fiecare va locui supt viţa lui şi supt smochinul lui, şi nimeni nu -l va mai turbura. Căci gura Domnului oştirilor a vorbit.

Every man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, with no one to make him afraid. For the mouth of the Lord of All has spoken.

5 P e cînd toate popoarele umblă fiecare în numele dumnezeului său, noi vom umbla în Numele Domnului, Dumnezeului nostru, totdeauna şi în veci de veci!``

All the nations may walk in the name of their god. But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever. Israel Will Return from the Strange Land

6 z iua aceea, zice Domnul, voi aduna pe cei şchiopi, voi strînge grămadă pe cei izgoniţi, şi pe aceia pe cari -i chinuisem.

“In that day,” says the Lord, “I will gather together those who cannot walk and those who have been driven away, even those whom I have made to suffer.

7 D in cei şchiopi voi face o rămăşiţă, din cei ce erau risipiţi, un neam puternic; şi Domnul va împărăţi peste ei, pe muntele Sionului, de acum şi pînă'n veac!

I will make a new beginning with those who cannot walk. I will make a strong nation of those who have been driven away. And the Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.

8 I ar la tine, turn al turmei, deal al fiicei Sionului, la tine va veni, şi la tine va ajunge vechea stăpînire, împărăţia fiicei Ierusalimului!``

As for you, O watch-tower of the flock, the strong-place of the people of Zion, the power you had to rule will come to you again. The nation will come to Jerusalem.

9 P entruce strigi tu însă acum aşa de tare? N'ai împărat? Nu mai ai sfetnic, de te apucă durerea ca pe o femeie la naştere?

“Now why do you cry out in a loud voice? Is there no king among you? Has your wise man died, so that you have pains like a woman giving birth?

10 S ufere, fiica Sionului, şi gemi ca o femeie la naştere! Căc acum vei ieşi din cetate şi vei locui în cîmp, şi te vei duce pînă la Babilon! Acolo vei fi izbăvită, acolo te va răscumpăra Domnul din mîna vrăjmaşilor tăi.

Suffer in pain, O people of Zion, like a woman giving birth. For now you will go out of the city and live in the field, and go to Babylon. There you will be saved and He will make you free from the power of those who hate you.

11 C ăci acum multe neamuri s'au strîns împotriva ta, şi zic:,, Să fie pîngărită, ca să ne vadă ochii împlinindu-ni-se dorinţa faţă de Sion!``

“Now many nations are gathered against you. They say, ‘Let her be unclean. Let our eyes look on Zion.’

12 D ar ei nu cunosc gîndurile Domnului, nu -I înţeleg planurile, nu ştiu că i -a strîns ca pe nişte snopi în arie.

But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord. They do not understand His plan. For He has gathered them like grain to the crushing-floor.

13 S coală-te, fiica Sionului, şi treeră! Căci îţi fac un corn de fer şi o copită de aramă, ca să sfărîmi multe popoare, şi să închini Domnului prada lor, să închini Domnului întregului pămînt averile lor!

Get up and crush the grain, O people of Zion. For I will give you horns of iron and feet of brass, and you will break many nations to pieces. You will give to the Lord what they received by hurting others. You will give their riches to the Lord of all the earth.
