1 Q uem é aquele que vem de Edom, que vem de Bozra, com as roupas tingidas de vermelho? Quem é aquele que, num manto de esplendor, avança a passos largos na grandeza da sua força? “Sou eu, que falo com retidão, poderoso para salvar.”

Who is this Who comes from Edom, with dark red clothing from Bozrah? Who is this One Who is beautiful in His clothing, walking in the greatness of His strength? “It is I, Who speaks what is right and good, powerful to save.”

2 P or que tuas roupas estão vermelhas, como as de quem pisa uvas no lagar?

Why is Your clothing red? Why is Your clothing like his who crushes the grapes?

3 “ Sozinho pisei uvas no lagar; das nações ninguém esteve comigo. Eu as pisoteei na minha ira e as pisei na minha indignação; o sangue delas respingou na minha roupa, e eu manchei toda a minha veste.

“I have crushed the grapes alone. From the people there was no man with Me. I crushed them in My anger. I was angry as I stepped on them. And their life blood is on My clothing, and all My clothing is red.

4 P ois o dia da vingança estava no meu coração, e chegou o ano da minha redenção.

For the day of punishment was in My heart. And My year to save My people and make them free has come.

5 O lhei, e não havia ninguém para ajudar-me, mostrei assombro, e não havia ninguém para apoiar-me. Por isso o meu braço me ajudou, e a minha ira deu-me apoio.

I looked, and there was no one to help. I wondered that there was no one to help. So My own arm brought saving power to Me, and My anger helped Me.

6 N a minha ira pisoteei as nações; na minha indignação eu as embebedei e derramei na terra o sangue delas.” Oração e Louvor

I crushed the nations in My anger and I made them drunk in My anger. I poured out their life blood on the earth.” Israel Remembers God’s Loving-Kindness

7 F alarei da bondade do Senhor, dos seus gloriosos feitos, por tudo o que o Senhor fez por nós, sim, de quanto bem ele fez à nação de Israel, conforme a sua compaixão e a grandeza da sua bondade.

I will tell of the loving-kindness of the Lord, and praise Him for all He has done. I will tell of all the Lord has given us, the great goodness He has shown to the family of Israel and given to them because of His loving-pity and His great loving-kindness.

8 “ Sem dúvida eles são o meu povo”, disse ele; “são filhos que não me vão trair”; e assim ele se tornou o Salvador deles.

For He said, “For sure they are My people, sons who will not be false to Me.” So He saved them from the punishment of sin.

9 E m toda a aflição do seu povo ele também se afligiu, e o anjo da sua presença os salvou. Em seu amor e em sua misericórdia ele os resgatou; foi ele que sempre os levantou e os conduziu nos dias passados.

He suffered with them in all their troubles, and the angel of the Lord saved them. In His loving-kindness He paid the price and made them free. He lifted them up and carried them all the days of long ago.

10 A pesar disso, eles se revoltaram e entristeceram o seu Espírito Santo. Por isso ele se tornou inimigo deles e lutou pessoalmente contra eles.

But they turned against Him and made His Holy Spirit have sorrow. So He turned Himself and hated them, and fought against them.

11 E ntão o seu povo recordou o passado, o tempo de Moisés e a sua geração: Onde está aquele que os fez passar através do mar, com o pastor do seu rebanho? Onde está aquele que entre eles pôs o seu Espírito Santo,

Then His people remembered the days long ago, the days of Moses. Where is He Who brought them through the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He Who put His Holy Spirit among them?

12 q ue com o seu glorioso braço esteve à mão direita de Moisés, que dividiu as águas diante deles para alcançar renome eterno,

Where is He Who caused His great arm to be at the right hand of Moses? Where is He Who divided the waters in front of them to make for Himself a name that lasts forever.

13 e os conduziu através das profundezas? Como o cavalo em campo aberto, eles não tropeçaram;

Who led them through the sea? Like a horse in the desert, they did not lose their step.

14 c omo o gado que desce à planície, foi-lhes dado descanso pelo Espírito do Senhor. Foi assim que guiaste o teu povo para fazer para ti um nome glorioso.

Like cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the Lord gave them rest. So You led Your people, to make for Yourself a great and honored name. A Prayer for Help

15 O lha dos altos céus, da tua habitação elevada, santa e gloriosa. Onde estão o teu zelo e o teu poder? Retiveste a tua bondade e a tua compaixão; elas já nos faltam!

Look down from heaven, and see from Your holy and beautiful house. Where are Your strong desires and Your powerful works? Your kindness and Your loving-pity are kept from me.

16 E ntretanto, tu és o nosso Pai. Abraão não nos conhece e Israel nos ignora; tu, Senhor, és o nosso Pai, e desde a antigüidade te chamas nosso Redentor.

For You are our Father. Even though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not see who we are, You, O Lord, are our Father. The One Who bought us and made us free from long ago is Your name.

17 S enhor, por que nos fazes andar longe dos teus caminhos e endureces o nosso coração para não termos temor de ti? Volta, por amor dos teus servos, por amor das tribos que são a tua herança!

O Lord, why do You make us turn aside from Your ways and make our hearts hard so we do not fear You? Return because of Your servants, the families of Your promised land.

18 P or pouco tempo o teu povo possuiu o teu santo lugar; depois os nossos inimigos pisotearam o teu santuário.

Your holy people kept Your holy house for a little while. But those who hate us have broken it under their feet.

19 S omos teus desde a antigüidade, mas aqueles tu não governaste; eles não foram chamados pelo teu nome.

We have become like those over whom You have never ruled, like those who were not called by Your name.
